I have cavities that need to be filled and my Medicaid no longer covers fillings. Any recommendations are appreciated! Thanks in advance.
So I’m thinking about moving to br from Hammond and was wondering good places to meet guys my age. I’m 21 but I’m not a huge fan of bars or tigerland.
Hello visiting the area for a few weeks, would like to know where I could play pickleball. Please include if free/paid.
I just moved here from across country and got Healthy Blue Medicaid. I have the option to switch, is there a better choice?
Any primary doctor recommendations that accept this insurance? Or recs for a primary and what Medicaid I should switch to? I’m desperate
Man, anybody in town do a proper stuffed artichoke? I grew up in Bucktown and have been in BR since ‘04, and every once in a while I just need a stuffed artichoke or a decent poboy. There’s a couple decent places for poboys, sure, but man, sometimes I just really just need like a proper hole in the wall poboy shop stuffed artichoke.
Does anyone in town do them? Callandros? Anthony’s? Monjuni’s? Tony’s? I never see them anywhere. Somebody got a spot?
Looking for places you would suggest to work/study. Not cubicle-type places, more like cafes, quiet spaces, etc. I get tired of my home office. Thanks!
I recently went to submit my child's application for the EBR Choice for magnet high school, and I see that my information there is incorrect. I have my name as the student and her name as the parent. How can I delete the application from the EBR Choice applications to make a new one? It does not give you and option.
Anyone know what they’ve doing on Perkins rd this week? It started south of seigen and now it’s to bluebonnet. Looks like they’re burying large cables
iPhone 13 Pro battery on its lasssst leg. Itiger on Lee is like $150 plus tax which seems kind of high to me but I’m not sure!
Hey yall we are gonna be meeting this month at the Bulldog on perkins (weather permitting) hope to see yall there. Come grab a pint and enjoy a bowl or two of fine tobacco. We will be raffling off a peterson Dracula sand blasted pipe, perfect for Halloween. So come by and say hi. More info can be found in our Facebook group baton rouge pipe club.
My family and I will be visiting Baton Rouge in a few weeks. We have a 10 year old. We are looking for family friendly things to do (attractions, restaurants, etc.).
I saw someone in a black touring van being escorted by the police and state troopers on motorbikes. So I'm just like who dat
I have a section of stucco wall outside my home that I want to commission art to be applied directly to the stucco.
There is a particular piece from Carl Jung I want reproduced on to that section.
Can anyone recommend a professional service?
Even though I have been living in B.R. for 10 years, I just learned that I need a permit to turn on electricity. It just so happens that I've had three apartments, all with electricity on when I moved in (only one where it was included in the rent), I just switched it into my name after the first month. So, I'm moving today and tomorrow (the final day to be out of this apartment), and I've switched everything to the new place. I moved the electricity online, and I saw that Entergy said something about a "hold for a permit", but they asked if I was renting and said something about they would apply for it and contact me, but then said to contact the landlord, too. Between work and moving and general craziness, I forgot! Now I'm afraid I'll be stuck for the weekend. I'm trying to use this "my government online" site to apply for it, but my tired brain can't find anything about electricity. Is it possible to apply online, or will I just have to call this morning when it opens? Does anyone know how long this takes, or how much it costs?
Where do i get one? Ive gone down the you tube rabbit hole on watching this type of scalp massage. It looks so relaxing. Any place local that does this?
Hey everyone! I'm 24M and looking to meet new people in BR. Mostly trying to make new friends because I don't really know many people here, so I'm planning to go out and socialize more to meet new people.
With that said... would anyone be interested in meeting up and doing some rock climbing? I've been pretty interested in trying it out and heard about this place called "UpTown Climbing" (on Coursey Blvd) and want to check it out.
Thinking about going this Saturday (10/5) since I'll be free that entire day, but wouldn't mind waiting until next Saturday (10/12) if enough people are interested in making it a group meetup!
Feel free to let me know if you're interested and what time you would be available. I'll update everyone by tomorrow night on what we'll do!
I’m looking for a nice place I can just sit and relax at where nobody will be around me, could be in BR or out of town.
For my 21st birthday, I want to go to a nice restaurant with a nice aesthetic for pictures. I like Tsunami Sushi's rooftop, but I don't want their menu for my birthday. Any other really nice restaurants with rooftops or nice restaurants in general?
We are potentially renting home just under 1800 sq ft, with no gas all electric. The electric hasnt been on since 2020 so we do not have an accurate estimate of our electric bill costs. House was built in 2007 i think? Does anyone know what range we can expect to pay?
Looking for places open later than 9 with some great eats. Nothing fancy. What y’all got?
I'm new to Louisiana but my GF iwas born and raised here. What restaurant has the best food in town? I want to take my GF some place fancy. I'm in desperate need of recommendations.
I live in Lafayette and am not too familiar with the BR area. I am looking for areas with long paved routes to ride my bike and the levee path in BR seems like a good one to try out. Training for a triathlon so flat, with no traffic, and road-like conditions is what I was looking for.
How long is the levee bike path paved for and suitable for a road bike? My bike is incapable of riding on gravel/grass so I want to know how long I can ride for before having to turn around and do laps.
Is there a heavy crosswind typically when riding on the levee path?
Where do you park if you want to go ride/run on the levee?
My buddy is an out-of-stater having his bachelor trip in New Orleans. I want to surprise him with a funny, Louisiana welcoming gift-- ideally drinking related. Does anyone know of any shots, shooters, gifts along this line and where to buy locally? Much appreciated!
