I’m interested in finding an ortho in germantown area. Specifically if you have had experience with doing invisalign. I’m looking to ONLY do invisalign on my top teeth, still have my wisdom teeth and they do not cause problems. I just have a couple teeth in front on top that I want to fix. Anybody have experience with this and orthodontists in the area?

Hi - long story short, I signed up for the St Jude Half Marathon months ago, but have been planning on doing the Full. I am interviewing for a role in Memphis and if I accept would need to relocate to the area. Myself (30 y/o F) and my partner (30 y/o M) would be moving up together and I’d love some insights into possible areas that could be a good fit for us. I’ve done some research on Google but would rather hear from people who live in the area. :)

The company I would be working for is located SE of Memphis.

Aside from living out of state for college, I have spent the majority of my life living in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA, so I’d love to find something that is hopefully kind of similar for any people who are familiar with the area.

Some wishlist items include…

House preferred over apartment, but open to either. We would like to have at least two bedrooms. We also have a dog so something pet friendly is a must.

Quick access to amenities such as shopping, dining, parks, etc. We aren’t really bar people, but would like some places to grab dinner and do casual nights hanging out nearby.

Would love to be around other young professionals.

And some of the obvious givens like a safe area and relatively affordable.

I appreciate any suggestions you all have!

Why is it people (not just in Memphis) look to blame others than really address the issue at hand?

Kia & Hyundai are not the problem in Memphis. How will suing them change the course of the city?

It doesn’t matter if someone leaves their car door wide open and keys in the seat. An overwhelming majority of decent and civil residents aren’t going to steal the car. They aren’t going to walk by and succumb to a profusely strong urge to steal.

I think it’s moronic to even consider such a boondoggle.

Im wondering about the traffic conjestion getting into and out of the park. I'm just curious because the traffic on Farm road stays backed up long after rush hour traffic is supposed to die down. How bad is it now that Starry Nights is happening? I just remember it being a complete fuster cluck years ago, and I try to avoid that whole area if possible. My family wants to go, and I need to brace myself.

In September I flew to Memphis for a quick work thing and checked out as much of the local Memphis scene as I could. I LOVED the Mustard BBQ sauce at Central BBQ. Does anyone have a similar or copycat recipe they would share with me?

Does anyone have some good recommendations for dog/cat boarding in Memphis. I’m willing to drive out of Memphis but I’ve been using vets as boarding for the last couple of years and I feel like it’s too much. Trying to find a cheaper boarding place I can use. It’s crazy sometimes the boarding is more than the vacation itself.

I got pulled over yesterday by MPD on 385 and received a citation for 1 mph over the speed limit. Cop said he was doing me a favor because he had me going 69 (giggity) in a 55. He also said that if I just pay the ticket it won't show up on my record. I'm very dubious of this and frankly don't believe I should have even been written the citation. I don't speed and wasn't here. I was surrounded by traffic in front, behind, and to the side all of which was going the same speed, or passing me. I told this to the cop and he agreed but said we were all speeding so be picked me. I have all this on dashcam as well. I think he saw a blue pickup truck and went for the easy target.

I don't have any other tickets on my record and I want to keep it clean. I was just going to go to court and see about getting it dismissed. Hoping the court sees the 1 mph and gets the joke. Although I'm not really laughing about having to dodge bullets at 201.

Should I just pay or go to court?

Been in Memphis a few months, I’m used to the ignorant shit now but it’s also part of the reason I abstain from socializing. Alas, I can’t take it anymore man I need likeminded friends. Anybody in the Memphis area that create their own tracks, beats, make videos and all that that’s down to link and jam, wrote songs, build a bread, idk .. something . I’m a 27 yo man, literally all my friends that I used to create with died of an overdose or were killed in the streets.

I don’t know where the chill scenes are, I don’t have a wingman for any kind of engagement. If there’s anybody out there that in sincere about their craft , I’d love link and work with anybody that’s in it like me

Can anybody recommend downtown (and I suppose Midtown) apartments that have rooftop access? Want to be able to view sunrises and sunsets.

I believe the following all have some sort of roof access:

* The Landing
* Metro67 (Can anybody confirm if the east view is unobstructed?)
* Peabody Place

I also think I could get pretty easy viewing at Crosstown? But thinking more from the top of the parking garage than the actual roof of the building.
