2012 Dodge Journey SE. Original owner, about 116,000 miles on the odometer. Family vehicle, daily driver, regularly maintained since the day it left the lot.
This sound just started recently. Every time you start or stop the engine, or turn the AC on/off, there is this clicking sound. I assume it's a motor that is trying to open/close a stuck or failed damper. Just wondering if anybody else has dealt with this same issue and what your fix was (DIY, ideally).
I’m in the market for a different car, I currently have a 2016 ford mustang and to be honest, I really can’t see that well out of the rear windows. I think something like the charger would be great for me but obviously safety is the first concern. I’m leaning towards a 2018 so it can be newish~ what are your experiences/thoughts of the safety features of the 2018 vs other models you’ve had?
Hey everyone,
I have a 2012 Dodge Avenger 2.4L that's been having some starting issues lately. Engine cranks but does not start on an intermittent basis. This has happened 3 times in the last few weeks, today is the 3rd. It has resolved itself so far each time, by just waiting a few hours and trying again later. During those same few weeks, 90% of the time it has otherwise started normally or maybe just struggled a tiny bit. When it refuses to start, the check engine light and the ETC warning light both come on, however the 3-turn code check returns absolutely nothing. When the issue has resolved itself previously, both lights turn off the instant the car starts; they are on only when it is struggling. My intuition is telling me this may be a battery issue but it's a little borderline to me, and the battery light has not turned on. The battery reads 12.3 V when the car is off and when starting fluctuates between 10 and 10.3 V. I've seen people say below 10 V is when the battery is bad so I'm not quite sure if I should be taking it in for a swap.
Any help would be appreciated!
Hi guys, i’m fairly young with my first car. I have a 2012 dodge charger r/t and it was heavily used when it was given to me. recently, i’ve been having issues starting it. sometimes, it will TRY to turn on for 2 minutes with the symbol above on the dashboard. I understand this is the throttle control warning, but i wanted a deeper understanding on what that means and how can i fix it? i’d ask my dad for help but he’s out of town for quite awhile. Please if anyone could give me info or advice id really appreciate it. (btw it has like 174,000 miles on it … 😬)
Charger RT 2016 with 115000 miles. Does it sound normal or should I be worried?
Whats up guys! So I plan on buying a hellcat Chrysler 300 very soon. But obviously some of these cars be having stolen parts. What are some ways to make sure that everything in the hellcat Chrysler 300 is LEGIT!
I was thinking about taking it to a dodge dealership and also taking it to a police station. Are there any other ways?
This is an appreciation post for my 2018 Dodge Durango R/T. Bought new in July of 2018. I have put almost 88,000 miles of family hauling across the country, towing a boat and my utility trailer all over Wisconsin. I have only ever seen one other Durango of the same color in 6 plus years. I average 18.9 mpg lifetime with the 5.7 Hemi, and I am still on the original brakes. All I have done is put on a new set of tires after 57,000 miles and change the oil. I’ve had one turn signal bulb burn out and it has been an awesome vehicle to drive. I’m 6’7” and I fit with ease. My 12 year old loves this SUV and hopes to drive it when she turns 16. What a great vehicle, and I just wanted people to know that you can get a good vehicle from Stellantis if you treat it right and give them the right amount of care.
I’m looking at a 2014 avenger does anyone here own one? What do you think of it? What problems can I find in this car? Can I mod it to how I please at all? Owner is asking 8k for one w 150k miles
Later today I'm going to check out a 2020 charger 392 skatpack 35,000 miles he said the only thing wrong is the screen works when it wants to. I've never owned a charger. And I'm in the middle with my auto mechanic skills any advise would be amazing
F*** my car is in pieces, it was the rocker arrrrm.
Truck sat for about a month as I’m waiting for a different repair.
I have a 23 RT, and I'm looking to make it a bit louder. I'm considering cutting the mid mufflers, but I'm unsure whether to leave it at that or add Dynomax Racing Bullets or Vibrant 1794 resonators. I've listened to clips online, but they don't seem to capture the real sound. Has anyone done this before? What would you recommend?
How many Dodge demons, Dodge hellcat red-eyes, regular hellcats, 392 scat pack's and hemi's did Dodge make in total
