Can you check this on a 2015 Journey using the jump points instead of digging up the battery terminals via the wheel well?

Just got this old ram today as a project. Took it down to my mechanics bay and did fluid changes also changes some hoses. On the way there the truck would start losing power out of no where, struggle to gain power, die out of no where and bog. I'd have to throw it in neutral when coming to a stop and rev to keep it from dying then having to rev match and put in in drive to continue if I didn't want it to die there. It's got a brand new battery and I just put a new starter on it. All the fuel hoses are newer and the truck has all electrical power. I'm thinking it's the fuel filter possibly the pump but l've also heard the catalytic converter could be clogged as well. If anyone has had ant similar issues or any idea of what I could also check please Imk, thanks!

Hi everyone, I own a 2016 Charger R/T Plus (5.7) with 112k on it. Second owner, purchased at 60k miles, owned for 3.5 years.

I’ve had issues with my car starting the past month:

1. My starter wasn’t turning all the way. I got my battery tested (bought 2 years ago) and they said it was no good. Bought a new battery.

2. Car was fine for about a week until the same issue occurred, had the starter replaced and the alternator tested (good).

3. Car started for about two weeks until 1/30. Ran some errands in the morning, went home to get ready for work and the starter won’t turn at all.

Dash & radio light up, head/tail lights turn on. No codes on the dash, no codes on the scanner. Disconnected and reconnected the battery multiple times, starter doesn’t turn. Tested my fuses, they’re all good. Tried the “Anti-Theft Method” with the push start, no go.

What else could this be? I’m trying to figure out if this is something that I can fix before dumping money into it at a shop.

Hi guys, I’ve been looking to buy a scat pack challenger for some time and am very interested in this one right here. But I wanted to make sure it’s an actual scatpack and not just an rt? Also, is it really a widebody and how can you tell if it is actually a wide body?

REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR INTAKE MANIFOLD BOLTS. I will have to admit, I didn’t believe anyone when I was told this before, but I finally decided to check my intake manifold bolts tonight and they were extremely loose. Most were torque to below 4 foot pounds and they should be at 8. I also noticed there was a lot of oil sludge near the manifold, I am unsure if this is due to the loose bolts or if my intake manifold gaskets need replaced, I torqued them down to spec and will observe to see if more oil residue appears, and if so, I will swap out the gaskets

I'll try to be as short as possible. Replaced the battery after a tow truck driver hooked up a jumper box incorrectly. Would crank but no start. Ran through the fuses and tested the relays with a multimeter and read 126.12 in all of them... Got a weird tip from the previous owner. I lifted the backseat, disconnected the fuel pump and started the car. It fired up! I quickly connected the fuel pump connectors and ran the car for a bit. Shut it off, and again crank and no start. I am going to run through all the fuses again to make sure they are not cracked... Weird AF. Hoping a dodge guy out there can help out. Seems to be some issues with the electrical system on most of these turds but I do enjoy driving a car that gets great gas mileage and cost me little to nothing. Thank you.

Hi for quick back story… I have a 2013 charger rt with a cam and tune. Recently it has been overheating so I took it to the shop. It has a 7 month old water pump in it. Thermostat that was already checked and looked fine.

When I dropped my car off at the shop for the overheating they found the inlet tube has been leaking. The replaced it and did a coolant service. I have my car back now and it has been having symptoms where on a 55 to 70 mph road the temperatures will go from 222 all the way to 226 and 230. I did a slight pull from 60 to 100 and it went from 219 to 235.

I went back to the dealership and told the advisor of the issue he said it was head gasket case. Which doesn’t make sense because they did a pressure test and i looked no find no symptoms of so.

Would this be that when they did the coolant service and topped it off they did not burp(bleed) the air out of the engine. Cooling fan does turn on, water pump functions as normal so I’m at a loss

I am considering the 2023 Challenger GT because I live in the northeast and I need the AWD for the snow. This would be my daily driver. Also it has only 850 miles so it's basically new.

It's listed at $27,295. With the taxes and fees it comes up to about 36k. I live in NY so things are pricey.

I know the fees sound wild but...Most of the GTs I see have over 10k miles and are priced about the same or more.

I shared a link at the bottom to the dealer's page.

1. Is this still a good deal? Or could I do much better? I am getting tired of looking.

2. I have found R/Ts around 36k with a few more miles but I was worried about snow.

3. I am suppose to buy tomorrow. Should I do it or hold off and why? Are they ripping me off?

Bought a 2024 Dodge Hornet GT about a month ago for 24k, 6000 down with an actual loan price of 18k, with 2500 miles. My (19M) interest rate is 6.5 but I’m currently putting 800 into it a month, with my actual monthly payment being 310. I’ve been enjoying the car a lot so far, and haven’t regretted the purchase at all yet. I’ve had no tickets and only one accident on my record, when a drunk driver t-boned me at an intersection on Thanksgiving last year which lead to me buying this car. My question is, is this car a mistake or did I make a good choice? Looking online it looks like I got a good deal for the car but I made it as a bit of a spur of the moment purchase and didn’t do my due diligence, would like to get the honest opinions of others.

On a Dodge journey 2012, the unlock switch on the driver's side sends the wrong signal (I'm guessing) it sends the order to close the door instead of opening, any idea what the cause might be? Thanks.

Hi so I have a 2019 Charger Scat Pack and I installed a new abs module in my car. I’ve tried to program it with my 500$ obd2 scanner but its not letting me program it. I’ve tried everything to program it but it won’t let me. My scanner is “Xtool model Ds8” Any help would be appreciated.

Our dodge journey stopped on us back in September and we finally got answers to the problem. I think. After replacing the battery and many attempts to get it started it just won’t crank. Dodge dealership says it’s the ABS module that’s not allowing it to start. They told us that the part was on back order and they didn’t know when it was going to be in. They also said it’s the would cost $1200 to fix and a few hundred for the part. My husband has been searching for a shop to do it but hasn’t had any luck.

My questions are, has anyone dealt with this and how much did it cost you to fix? Is it worth fixing? Can we get this done for less? We did find the part for $219 on carpartsource.
