How do I make friends?

A bit of background: I (16M) went to my first (official) rave yesterday and it was AMAZING! Seriously the best feelings in my life! But since no one I know likes this type of music I had to go alone which did make me feel a bit lonely there watching people come in groups or as couples and have fun together. I noticed this one girl that was super energetic and seemed very fun and I wanted to approach her and try to make friends with her but I didn't know how to. I came up with the line "I really like your vibe, do you wanna dance together?" But it seemed too dumb to me for some reason (and also I can't really dance and she seemed way more experienced than I am so I think I was also scared of embarrassing myself) and then again, she was with her friend there so I didn't know whether I'll be interrupting their time (even tho she was very social and talked to a lot of people). Making friends is smth that I struggle outside of raves too but I feel like it should be easier in raves since we share a common interest. What is your approach to it?

Let's just assume that you already love their music, that's a given. What have some of your favorite artists done that made them stand out from the now heavily oversaturated crowd?

I’m a house head, I prefer watching Tech House a lot. Recently been to hard techno show, IDK I kinda liked it(I did 🧬). Started digging more, found there is a huge fandom for hard techno. Is this future? Heard from a friend saying hard techno is just clatter!

Hey everyone! I’m fairly new to the community - started going to some smaller events here in az and finally decided I absolutely need to attend decadence.

My boyfriend surprised me with a vacation to Vegas and we are going to be attending Jackpot. I am a seasoned raver (12+ years) but I've never left the country for one (we are from Canada)! Any advice about the venue (DTLVEC), how much drinks cost, what food options there are (if any), what the crowd is like, how to dress for December Vegas weather? We are staying at a hotel within walking distance so we aren't concerned about transportation. Anything else we should check out while we're in town?

Does anyone else get a strange sense at a rave or in a large crowd of dancing people, when it feels like everyone is moving a bit too in time? Almost mechanically so. As though they are being crontrolled or they are puppets with their strings being pulled at the same time??! It’s hard to explain but it comes with a sense of dread. Sometimes while this is happening I will acutely notice someone moving out of time and it will feel menacing or meaningful and I will keep thinking out the movement in my minds eye. This feeling often goes away once I am out the crowd. I get this more often if I’m high but also when sober. I wonder if it’s something linked to overwhelm/panic? I do get overwhelmed easily, but it’s just such a specific feeling that’s hard to put into words and I’m curious if it’s a known thing?!

I enjoy making Kandi and I make a ton of different phrases most are relatively tame like Guacamolly, Gum God, drink water, rave to the grave, etc.

I'm just curious what's your opinion on R rated ones like Cum Slut, Cunt Energy(friend gave me that one), head down ass up, etc.

It got us hella hyped. We're wondering if it was tobacco?

I didn’t have any money attached to my wrist band and when I asked the bar tenders for water they “said were a rave not a restaurant” and refused to give tap water. I told them I don’t have my card attached and the person working there said “not my problem”. Every bartender refused water tonight. What’s crazy is that bars are required by law to provide free tap water… has anyone come across this? What can be done?
