Living in NYC is a blessing as I can be with my kid until their bed time and then go out to see great artists (the next morning is kinda rough) but friends in similar positions keep leaving the city and the group to go out with gets smaller and smaller (none of whom are parents themselves)

So, wondering who else out there is in a similar spot?

hi guys!! my friends coming to nyc for the first time this weekend and she really likes house music. i was hoping to take her dancing somewhere in the city, either brooklyn or manhattan (somewhere close to public transport) any recs please??

I havent been to paragon in a while and the last time I left pretty early. I wanted to go to escape on friday but have a party in manhattan before. On RA it says the party ends at 3 which seemed early to me.

curious if thats a legit end time or if the party continues and the bar closes at that hour

I’m going to paragon tomorrow for their Halloween night, and my costume is a knight. As part of it I have a big (~3 feet long) sword. It’s made of some sort of foam, isn’t sharp, and isn’t particularly hard. For example, you can easily bend it with your hands.

What are the chances they’ll let me in with it? I figure it’d be very funny and very fun to have it (not swing it around obviously), but I also assume it’s a long shot. Does anyone have any experience/thoughts on the matter?

All of these communities are totally neglected on Radiate. lol. It’s a bunch of mostly straight US domestic 20 somethings going to very mainstream concerts/festivals, far as I can tell … nothing on Resident Advisor, nothing on Funqtion, no major gay circuit parties, almost no major international music events are listed.

All of those generally unsupported uses would make this app SO MUCH MORE helpful for me. Are there alternatives to Radiate that might be a better fit?
