FREE PARTIES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is a free party?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For those who do not know, a free party is a literal free illegal rave normally based around Europe. Its a collection of people who listen to underground tekno/drum and bass with large rigs that are running of generators. Normal locations include; fields, warehouses and forests.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How is this subreddit different too /r/aves?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This subreddit is a break off from /r/aves.
The reason for me creating this subreddit is because I feel that big raves such as Ultra for example are very different. Keeping the two separate will be able to please both subcultures.
I've seen many people post on /r/aves mentioning free parties and those expecting to see stages and set up as large as "normal" raves get disappointed and then in turn un-necessarily downvote it.

RULES:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Don't be a douche nugget
2) NO LEAKING PARTY LINES/LOCATIONS, we don't want the events to get shut down before they even start.
Posts will be removed if you ask if there is a free party at your location. We are a discussion page, you have to find your own way there.
3) Please keep drug references to a minimum. Obviously mentioning the subject will not get you banned, just many people think these events are purely for the drugs which is not true. We are there for the music.
I always hear people saying “ I’m going to have a project X summer “ or “ this party is gonna be just like project X “. My question is, has anyone here ever been to a crazy ass party and how did it even form? Like do people actually have parties like this or is it just a mindset people want.. and if not how do you even find crazy parties in your area.
I'm organising a small outdoor party (20 ppl) and need a generator for sound and lights. I'll be renting, is a battery generator (or 2) worth it? Or should I go for a fuel generator and bring a gerry can of fuel? i'm worried a fuel one will be to noise for the small crowd?
Hello, I am currently thinking of building my own soundsystem. Do u have any tips for me? What do I need exept speakers? Whats the perfect setup? Mixer or stage rack or both? These kinda things. Just a small system for private Partys. I am thinking of 2-3 bass/woofers, 2 mids, 2 tops… I have little experience as stagehand and building stages but only for concerts nottekno parties or something similar Thanks!
Is there any place in the world where free parties can, at least technically, be considered legal, without penal law enforcement onto people participating/organizing them? It is currently impossible to find many results on the Internet from my country (Italy), as if it was censored content (that wouldn't actually surprise me!!), but there MUST be at least one country allowing them!
EDIT: What I'm looking for is a country where there are no laws specifically prohibiting free parties, nor any other law being enforced that permits to law enforcement to identify who participate. Basically, the perfect country, anywhere in the world, that could allow for an unknown amount of days of free party/teknival: a safe space for such events. Ideally, it would be characterized by no penal/civil (or legal in general) consequences towards both the organisers and the participants.
cant find any info abt this online, whats the scene like over there? what cities are best for parties? also wondering what sort of genres are popular?
*not looking for lines, just interested
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have tips for a small table that's cheap and portable?
No need for a super large surface - I'd just put my MacBook Air and a small DJ mixer on it (mixer is same size as laptop)
Asking here as I'm also very open to DIY and makeshift solutions.
Ideally looking for something that could fit on, in, or attached to a 50L backpack.
Thank you in advance 🫶
