If you're new here, it's a modified version (8.1+ only) of a YouTube client for Windows Phone 8+.

Happy Lunar New Year (and also New Year) everyone! It's a bit late, but to celebrete, I'm dropping this update, it has a lot of new QOL features and improvements. Full changelog below:

• Support for Changing API Keys In-App: You can now change keys directly within the app (Access in settings -> keys) for a more flexible experience. (No more modifying keys!)
• Invidious Proxy Support: Play videos using the Invidious proxy for improved privacy and performance, this also makes all VEVO music videos playable (availability depends on the Invidious instance you choose).
• Personalized Related Videos Support: Watch more video with related video suggestions.
• Subtitles Support: See what people are saying in the video.

Fixes

• Fixed Subscriptions: Stay up-to-date with your favorite creators by accessing their latest videos in the new Subscriptions tab.
• Fixed Liked Videos: Access your liked videos playlist through the Favorites section.
• Readded age restricted prompt in video player.

Improvements

• Added more tweaks in the code.
• Added some improvements for login feature.
• Added an improvement to how main live tile updates.
• Modified the about page.

Notes

• DASH streams (480p,720p or higher) are not supported. Windows Phone Silverlight Framework does not support playing two streams at once (video + audio). Only 360p and audio-only streams remain.
• Since this patch's player uses Invidious API, beware of "Video Unavailable", "error while playing this video", or player loading indefinitely.
• Subtitles also uses Invidious API, so some of it can't display.
• When in fullscreen, you cannot scroll on the change subtitles popup, workaround: press back key to escape the full screen mode.
• Watch later are not supported.
• Subscriptions and related videos tabs loads a little bit slower than others because it uses InnerTube.
• Guide of how to create your own API keys, Oauth2 client will be created soon. For now, go to MetroTube Patched 1.12 guide (just do the "Create an API key" and "Creating an OAuth client" steps) (and images are dead).
• Oauth2 client needs to be a web application with the redirect uri http://localhost/oauth2callback .

any tips for making it usable in 2025????

so as you can tell by my user flair... i couldnt repair it and just gave it to a repair guy.

BUUUUT I TRIIIIIED

as from the last post i discovered, the battery connectors and the battery are the issue, but i thought the problem was just the battery and connectors not reaching together and not making a connection so i tried to put metal pieces in between them to make them contact, however it didnt work. instead i broke it even more!-ish????

well the thing is with all these put metal in between things, i made a small hole in the battery and made that broken connector pins completely get lost in the connector thing itself, and since i couldnt find any parts myself near me (iran), i just gave up and gave it to the repair guy

but i have a couple of questions for when the phone is repaired.

1. is it worth installing windows 10 on it? or will it just be an absolute battery drainer and slow and laggy

2. if it is worth installing, how do i do it? i cant find downloads for that ota updater thing.

I've been looking for months of pictures of my daughter being a baby I've finally found them, they are located on a lumia 1520. I pulled out the microsd and windows could not mount. Placed sd card back into the 1520 all pictures and videos are there. Connected phone via usb to my laptop. Its connected but no storage is mounted. Any one got any ideas?

Just got a Lumia 735 (for free!) and I'm wondering what I could do with it? So far I've been using it as a reading device as it basically can't do anything else, but I'm wondering if there's more to do?

It runs Windows Mobile 8.1, not 10.

Also, it has somebody's account connected to it, but I could find a option to delete the account.

It appears the account has had its password changed to what the Lumia saved, so it's probably fine.

UPDATE: My W11 Laptop isn't picking up the Lumia, any help?

I have recently bought a lumia 640 that I believe is running windows phone 8.1 I believe that this phone is also compatible with windows 10 mobile so I saw a windows 10 otc app that should allow me to install windows 10M on the phone. Is this correct? Thanks in advance

YouTube Discord Facebook FB Messenger Instagram & Twitter (can probably use the web version but okay) Spotify And some games. Does anyone know any apps? Thank you, It's alright if any of the apps I suggested don't work.

Is it possible to jailbreak Windows 8.1? I have a Nokia Lumia 630 and it's a great phone, but I still need an app, and if anyone knows how to get the updated store? By the way, I also bought a Lumia 950 XL and it will arrive in a few days, but I would still like to have Lumia 630 in using.

I found this Nokia Lumia 925 used, thankfully it turns on, battery is struggling, but at night i noticed the screen isn’t fully off, black is not try black. I understand it should be AMOLED?

The photo is exaggerated, but it does show that there seems to be black dots, i’m guessing the screen is broken or maybe it was swapped to a cheap panel sometimes.

it was working fine and my aunt was using it untill... the day came when the store for windows phone closed however i thought this was because the os was too old so i tried upgrading to windows 10 mobile but never did it...so she just bought a new redmi note 8.

after a while i decided to comeback and try to use it but my aunt gave me some very sad news, that my other aunt was watering the plants while the phone was nearby and... i think you know where this is going... the water spilled on the phone, breaking the battery, since than i had sometimes tried to use it again but nowadays that i use social media more, i decided to share it with the internet so maybe i could get it back...

I recently Windows 10 ARM on my Lumia 640 and i wanted to go back to Windows Phone 8.1, but when flashing with WPinternals, it got stuck at 0% and after 1 hour it didn't change. So i disconected my phone from the computer restarted it and the phone, but the screen went black and it showed up as QHSUSB_BULK. I tried WDRT but it failed. I tried using thor2 method but it gets stuck on sending signature. Please help me unbrick my lumia!

Hi everyone, good afternoon. I found a Lumia 1020 that I've had for a while and it doesn't work because I had problems installing Windows 10 Mobile on it and I've never been able to get it to work again. I followed the XDA tutorial but I didn't have any success either. It doesn't recognize the PC at all but the Windows symbol flashes... Any tips on how to recover it without changing the board? (if that's even possible).

So I want to buy a Nokia Lumia with Windows 10, so I'm interested in your recommendations
