Started as a question, now it’s a rant.
Needed new phones after one had been cracked for a long time and the battery swelled up in the other. Store said they can do 2 iPhone 14s BOGO with a bill credit, great! Spend 20 minutes waiting on the guy to get the plan going as he has visible struggles in his iPad. Turns out it needed a line added to make the plan work with “Magenta military”
I didn’t want a new line because I didn’t trust I could cancel but the store employee and the person helping him said I could cancel later on. I give it a few months, I chat with t mobile on the app who tells me I can cancel as well with no loss of promotions, immediately lose my promotions for the new phones as I end the chat with him and get a text from T-Mobile, I call T-Mobile and the best they can do it add the line back and keep charging me for it. The chat operator tells me they can put it on some type of military hold and it will take care of everything. I get a text two weeks later saying I need to prove I’m deployed over seas? That wasn’t explained to me so I let that discount go.
I start the process of interacting with T-Mobile again trying to get them to explain why I keep being told I can cancel the line and keep my promotions then immediately lose them. I’m on round 3 of trying to call and chat and clarify with screen shots of previous chat logs that are t mobile employees telling me it’s fine to cancel then I receive a text telling me my promotions are gone my bill is 30 dollars higher.
Who do I talk to or escalate to that can fucking resolve this? It’s clearly not the chat or the store. The last chat rep told me I’d be getting an email after asking me for my email, that never fucking happened.
Fucking typos and grammatical issues are gona stay I guess cause iPhone won’t let me move the cursor to the top to edit anything.
I just ported my 4 lines from T-Mobile to AT&T on the day my bill posted , I was fully expecting issues or a crazy last bill because it happens every time I move carriers , but this move went smooth , no delay in releasing my numbers and my final bill turned into a $27 credit . Had no issues with T-Mobile but just couldn't pass up the BYOD business line credits with AT&T .
Hey so I have the 15 pro max and I wanted to upgrade to the 16 pro max. I upgraded my old phone back in may and according to the app/online I can upgrade with the yearly upgrade benefit from the go5g plus plan which I have. So I go into one of my local tmobiles to take care of this so I don’t have to deal with the shipping of the device and so on. Anyways I go into there and they tell me I need to have my device for at least a year and I have to pay like 200 bucks in order to upgrade cuz I guess even though online it says I’ve paid half or something, I have to pay more to reach a 12 month period. My question is if they’re just trying to bullshit me or if they’re being honest cuz I’m not sure why online then it would give me the option no problem??
Hello,
My screen cracked and it's 400 to fix, so I want to trade it in through Samsung ($550 value with cracked screen vs Tmobile lower trade in value) . I have 4 months left out of 24 months on my promotional trade in credits. Can I trade in to Samsung and still receive the promo credits through Tmobile? I would continue making monthly payments to Tmobile but the phone would be sent back to Samsung. I would pay the new phone on purchase.
This question has probably been asked before but couldn't find a clear answer on the search bar.
Thanks for your help!
I am trying to upgrade through the app, I don’t see the option to pick up in store. Is it because the store is closed? Or does it matter? I would really like to pick it up tomorrow instead of waiting for shipping. Anyone know why it’s not an option? It says in stock.
I just moved from iPhone 12 to 16 (both Pro) so the physical SIM turned into eSIM. And now when trying to call (from Italy to US) through wi-fi, with airplane mode on (to ensure that I don’t accidentally switch to the mobile) I get the error message:
“No network connection. Connect to a Wi-Fi network or disable airplane mode to place a call.” I am definitely connected.
Two things: when I do disable it - the call does go through wi-fi. But I got burned before when it switched to the mobile line and I got a massive bill so I don’t trust it.
Secondly: why would T-Mobile even know (or care) airplane mode is on - it never used to (on the previous phone) and turning it on was in fact their rep advice.
Their chat support was no help.
I’m looking g to trade in my 15 pro for a 15 pro max; solely for the size preference. What would the process be like and how much could it possibly be. I’ve had the 15 pro for barely a year now btw.
I was denied since June because I had to have the birth certificate amended to show me as the bio parent, and I’ve got a balance of $1500 sitting there I just submit a claim for the last 5-6 months whatever it was.. but it was through the T-Mobile benefits website.. does anyone have any experience with this new app? I got a pop up saying it doesn’t require any receipts.. And submitted a full claim for all the missing months.. now shows “under review.” I want to know what’s the easiest way to have Tmobile honor their claim that they help with child care reimbursement.
Anyone ever have luck renewing an insider code?
I just made a new account, ported in my line from vzw, and then realized the code I redeemed a while ago expired. I didn't realize it was time bound and it took way longer than I expected to get off of vzw. Any advice? Can I even apply another one? It still lets me try to redeem on the insider page but not surprisingly now it's saying that code isn't valid anymore.
Thanks for the help!
You have been warned!
No service from 11 AM to 4 PM every business day. It constantly goes to SOS mode.
Chopped calls and missed texts even if there is some service (like 2 mbps/0.1 mbps).
T mobile does not have any capacity at all in this area! Forget 5G UC, they don’t even have 2G in these two zip codes!
If you’re on the 4 for $100 and need to add a line what is the best plan for 5 lines?
is the current BOGO still active? Do I have to add both lines right now or can I do one now and one two weeks from now?
I have a Razer+ 2023, temporarily unlocked it through System setting.
Tried to add a new visible esim line to esim slot, but visible says imei is not compatible.
Tried to use this phone on MetroByTmobile as well and got no dice.
So how can I really use the temporarily unlocked phone with other carriers on ESIM?
What else do I need to do ?
Thanks
Update: Thanks everyone, sounds like this only works for psim
Can I make an insurance claim on a device I can’t activate? I have BYOD insurance
Hey everyone!
A while back, I posted this guide which I personally did it and I thought it might be helpful to some of you, and today I have another guide which I am sure some of you already know but there are others who might not know about it.
I recently upgraded my device and preordered the new iPhone to be one of the first to get it. Initially, I planned to trade in my sister’s S10 Plus, but I noticed it had a crack on the back. Not wanting to take any risks, I went to a corporate store to handle my trade-in.
When I spoke to the rep, I explained that I wanted to trade in my device for the new iPhone I had ordered two weeks ago. After pulling up my account and checking my order, he noticed the system flagged my device as different from the one I had originally listed. I asked him to proceed anyway and select the option indicating that the device was different. Surprisingly, the system accepted my new trade-in and canceled the previous one.
The rep handed me a receipt but said he didn’t think it would work. However, just a few hours later, the system adjusted my trade-in value and the promotion. Both devices I listed had similar promotional values, but the system automatically lowered my monthly credit because some of the credits applied immediately to my bill. Instead of receiving $1,000 (about $41 a month over 24 months), I ended up with $37, with the actual device value credited instantly.
To confirm this process, I did another lease with a different device, and the system adjusted it the same way. My plan is GO5GNext, but I don't think that matters much. Just a heads-up: store reps may say it won’t work, but I insisted they proceed and select the option on their screen which is to tick/select (trade in a different device) Hope this helps someone out there!
The old app was perfectly fine. Why tf do companies keep "iNnoVaTiNg" on things that actually function?
Hi, do you guys know if we could claim the the 200$ gift card offer and blinks security camera offers together?? Purchased the basic Internet plan back in September, and don't know if I could claim them both ?
My plan does not include taxes + fees. Does anyone have watch lines with plans that do not include taxes + fees who can provide me an estimate of what the per line fee is?
https://blackfriday.com/ads/black-friday/costco?page=16
The link above is for the costco blackfriday ad. The wording says nothing about adding a new line. Our family will be ready to upgrade around this time for phones. on Go5g Plus.
If im reading that right, any line that finances a new phone will get $200 in costco gift cards in like 2-3 months. Anyone else look at this or know how to interpret it. u/Jman100_JCMP do you have any knowledge on this?
Good afternoon! Looking at switching from Simple Choice Promo to Go5gNext.
We currently have 3 paid and 3 free lines for $140 plus taxes - total $171 per month. We also pay for Hulu Plus and Netflix basic. This makes our total $196.
I reached out to t force via Facebook and they stated our 3 free lines would carry over to a new plan. Looking at Go5gNext, which they stated would be $230 a month, taxes included, for the six lines.
Can we trust this?
Unfortunately, I don't have the soc codes for the free lines to provide. Can I find them somewhere?
Reason for the switch would be the promos on devices. We have a OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8t, 3 iPhone 11s, and and iPhone se(2nd gen) that need to be replaced.
Total cost over 24 months is quite a bit less switching plans and getting the discounts IF it works out.
Thoughts on whether to trust t force?
Thanks in advance!
I know T-Mobile includes McAfee for phones. Do they also have McAfee for T-Mobile internet customers?
Did anyone else get this email or can provide insight on this promotion? Per usual the wording reads odd.
I am on the Magenta Max 55+ Plan. 2 Lines. iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro.
I received the following email today:
It has "redeem on your current plan" and "keep your current plan" plastered all over it. On the app/website, I see the following promotion:
There are 6 total promotions listed under the iPhone 16 series models. When I attempt to upgrade my line (iPhone 13 Pro), it defaults to the "Up to $300 with trade on Go5G" promotion. This is odd considering I don't even have that plan.
Does anyone have any insight on this?
What would happen if I lowered my T-Mobile plan to where it doesn’t include Netflix anymore? Would I just star being charged by Netflix directly?
I'm considering changing from my old plan to the Go5G Plus plan. I have 4 paid lines, 3 free lines, 2 free tablets, and free Digits watch line.
T-Force rep told me that to change my plan to Go5G Plus, my total would be $220/mo for all of the same (4 paid plus all the free ones).
If I did make that change, and then port out one of the paid lines (which is the 4th paid line from way back), would that then lower my bill to $185/mo while keeping all the other free lines as-is? Or do they convert a free one to a paid, thus remaining at $220/mo while losing a line?
Curious if anyone with Go5G Plus has done the same or similar. Thanks!
I am a 25 year sprint customer who was migrated to T-Mobile. With sprint, I had the iPhone forever deal. However, when we were migrated to T-Mobile, I was put on the T-Mobile unlimited plan. We have 10 lines, so I do not want to migrate to magenta or go 5G, which would cost me at least $300 more a month. My question is, shouldn’t I still have iPhone forever upgrade options? When I go through the website, it does not offer me that. Am I missing some thing or do I need to talk to someone? I thought once I had it, it literally meant forever. Perhaps I am wrong.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
I’m thinking of getting one for my kid’s backpack, but I was wondering if the tracking has any delays or if it works like the iPhone’s Find My Friends with live tracking?
Hey everyone,
Has anyone used the $10 bonus for a fast casual restaurant like Jersey Mike’s? The offer says dine in so wanted to see if it actually only tracks for a sit-down place.
Thanks,
Any idea if T-Mobile plans to offer any deals for upgrading iPhones? I want to do an early trade-in, but I have to pay off the balance first and then assume new monthly payments. Looks like they’re offering a bill credit as the trade-in. Are there better trade in options available? Or is this the new normal? Was hoping maybe for Black Friday or Cyber Monday there might be some better promos
Do you all think the kiosk partnership will last long? Personally I don’t think so cause even though the perks are alright, I don’t see why they can’t implement them at actual retail store locations and increase commission rates at retail stores too. Then not to mention, the no inventory and some people be wanting them upfront as well.
