Does ATT sell/provide a cell booster that doesn’t require home WiFi? I have a very poor coverage at home and want to use it as a backup when Comcast is acting.
Lost my phone and went to an ATT corporate store to get a new SIM for my old backup phone. The guy put it in and it worked for 3 seconds (long enough to get an SMS message from ATT saying I was moving my phone number to a new SIM) and then reverted to no service/emergency calls only.
He went back and made a call then came out and told me the new sim is active on my account and had my phone number attached to it. He doesn't know why it's not working and that I would have to call the pre-paid division directly and ask them why it's not working (I am on an annual prepaid plan). He also said att recently "phased out" a bunch of phones so he's not sure my phone works on their network anymore and that I might need to buy a new one - it's an Asus Zenfone 8 that's 3 years old I have no clue what he meant by "phased out" I don't think that's a thing.
Anyway, I came home and went through a half hour of troubleshooting with the att pre paid support lady, and she finally tells me they have to escalate it to the network team and they will email me in 24-48 hours.
Anyone have any idea how to get this to work? I have zero faith in the "network team" fixing anything and I really don't want to go back to the store and wait for another hour for service.
Can anyone help? I've been on the phone with CS for an hour already, and they've been unhelpful.
Background of how account is setup, my wife is the primary on account. She has a phone and a watch, I just have a phone (iPhone 15 pro). I just recently got my phone where it’s basically free, via credits each month. I’m interested in swapping to first net and am eligible, but what I don’t know is can I just simply swing my phone number off of our plan and swap to first net on it, while not ending up having to pay for the phone?
Is code TRADEOFFER24 needed for in store trade in? The paperwork that I received from store doesn’t have the code TRADEOFFER24 so I’m curious whether the associate forgot to add the code or not. I noticed it after I left the store. Does yours have the code written in your paperwork that you received from store?
Does anyone here know that pay structure for AT&T for store sales reps?
Id like to keep my iphone 13 pro max rather than trade it in for the 16, Ive got $170 left to pay off on it before its eligible to be unlocked. But any way I can keep both my old phone, get the new 16 without a huge jump in my monthly bill?
The account holder is unable to pay the bill on our plan (I cant afford to pay it in full either) and I am trying to look into my options. its an iphone 12 pro max that is paid off. I eventually want to use this phone on a plan of my own and am trying to avoid buying a new temporary phone. I am not sure if I have an esim because the phone settings say "convert to esim" but I swear when I activated it it was an esim. I don't care about keeping my existing number and I realize the phone is carrier locked (until the bill can be paid)
So, would I be able to buy a sim card for an ATT prepaid plan at walmart or something and put this into my phone?
UPDATE: I went to an ATT store and got a sim with a new number on their prepaid plan. Physical sim was free as opposed to getting one at Walmart or target for $10. $15 activation fee.
So my questions answer is a YES. I wasn't sure if they let you do prepaid month to month in store but they do, it's not just the $300 12 month prepaid plan.
Internet suddenly went out around 130 am and I’ve tried unplugging it, restarting, moving the hub and still all I get is a flashing AT&T logo…don’t know what to do,anyone ever had this happen?
I want to not be charged anything international
IM BRINGING MY PHONE ONLY TO RECEIVE SMS FOR 2FA NOT SEND
what do I need to do on my galaxy flip z phone ?
When we switched to AT&T, we were a joint account that I then separated out onto my own. Since then, there’s been an ongoing issue with connectivity with account access and with iPhone settings and controls.
It would seem that there is a proxy server that is controlling access to the Internet, and that is delaying text messages via the cellular network.
There are certain settings on the iPhone that I cannot alter particularly is relating to iCloud, backups syncing, etc. Can anyone offer insights on what is happening?
How could I determine beyond the shadow of a doubt what’s going on?
Has anyone ever used international day pass in Uganda? Did it work well?
2 of my credit cards have a policy where you can’t notify them that you’re traveling, but they will send a text if there is a “suspicious transaction” for you to verify it was you. I’m hoping I can use IDP if needed for this.
Anybody successfully using any Chinese phones? Looking at Xiaomi and Vivo specifically.
Hello everyone!
I was living in new york until 2023 and using a AT&T sim card with my pixel 6 until i shifted to India.
While in India I got a Sony Xperia 1 V (model -XQ-DQ62) from US amazon store and have been using it since with my Indian sim card.
Now I will be returning to USA soon and as I have misplaced my AT&T sim card I asked my friend who's carrier plan I'm on to get me a replacement sim card but AT&T customer support is telling her that they cannot provide one for that model.
Can someone help me out on this?
Does anyone know if IMO discounts feature add-ons too?
We added a new line/phone for my husband at the store recently, and it was loaded with a bunch of junk that we didn't sign up for or agree to. So I've been cleaning up the account online and dropping some stuff we didn't want.
We got an email reminding us to complete the action items to receive the discounts included in our bill.
One of the discounts was $20/month for our affiliation with a large home improvement chain. We've never worked there. Never had a family member who worked there. I'm 100 percent sure I never mentioned this company to the employee at the ATT store in any context.
Did he just put a random company on our bill to get the discount to make it look less costly in the store, and then we'll lose the discount once we can't verify any affiliation?
Or is there another explanation that I'm missing?
TL;DR: New phone line came with a $20/month discount for a company we’re not affiliated with. Did the store rep add this to make the bill look cheaper, and will we lose it if we can’t verify?
Important question: I have a Samsung s23 ultra that I am receiving a credit on my bill of approximately $33 every month, but the device is locked and I need to use the remaining IMEI with a Verizon line, and here comes the question if I will pay the remaining balance of my device so that it can be unlocked, would AT&T continue to credit those $33 until the 36-month agreement is finished or would I automatically lose the credit.
Decided I've had enough of ATT after getting various offers through the mail from competitors. If I sign up with someone else, could I cancel ATT that day or should I be trying to time it to avoid paying two phone bills at once?
Hey guys! Im a new sales rep working out of costco. I just started this week and just got used to the script and pitch. Got my first sale today! I am wondering if any fellow reps have advice for pitching and when to "go off script" because there are times i feel as if theres more i couldve said past the how many lines, are any iphone, and discount. Sometimes they just kind of say i have so and so provider. At that point should i ask them their price and then proceed to ask lines and phones? Im jw on how to keep them interested while also following compliance rules. I work in PA in USA
Well it seems in order to get service I have to go to a store and prove who I am. After sitting on the phone for an hour tonight trying to get an account started just for them to say they can't proceed with it and don't know even why. I'm not sure either but I'm not sure it's even worth wasting the money anymore.
Just got fiber today and I'm trying to port forward call of duty ports so my roommate and I can get "Open Nat Type" rather than "Moderate Nat Type". I was able to port forward the necessary ports for MY computer, and now my NAT type is "Open". The problem is, I can't also port forward these ports with another device. It just gives an error saying it's overlapping. Is there not a way to open ports for every device, or multiple?
Edit: when i go to port forward for the second device (my roommates computer), my custom services for cod dont show up anymore. When I make a second service with the same ports, it then gives me the overlapping error
Edit: Problem solved! ActiveArmor was the issue, speeds went right back up to expected levels after disabling ActiveArmor on my account.
I'm experiencing internet speed issues that I'm having a hard time of troubleshooting. I have AT&T 1G Fiber Internet, with the BGW320-500 gateway. Testing the speed from the Internet to the gateway with Smart Home Manager, I see that I'm getting the full 1000 mbps that I'm supposed to be getting. Great, if only I could get anywhere near that speed to my devices.
I've tested multiple devices and multiple connection types, and I consistently am only getting around 125 mbps no matter the device. I've restarted the gateway several times to no avail. I've tried multiple cable types, multiple ethernet NICs, and Wi-Fi 6 capable devices. I can still only get around 125 mbps max, and sometimes lower. The max speed seems to syncronize between separate devices when I test them as well somehow, regardless of connection type.
The main weird thing that I noticed is that if I connect to a VPN on my PC, I'm all of a sudden able to get 900-1000 mbps like I'm supposed to be getting. Does this imply I'm getting throttled? Usually a VPN should be slower, so I'm confused how it's somehow better. Does anyone have any insight or advice on what might be causing this issue and how I might troubleshoot it further?
I have two BGW320-505 routers. The primary is connected to the 1Gb fiber box. The second has never been connected. I have a mix of wired and wireless in my house. I'd like to use the 2nd unit in another part of the house, hardwired to the first unit, to expand my wireless network. Is there any way to do that?
I just checked my ATT account and it showed my bill being past due/due immediately. I checked my autopay settings and everything was turned on, accurate, and up to date. My card on file is fine and there are no pending charges or fraud alerts. Under my billing page it says "Nov 10 autopay failed" - but today is only the 8th. I updated the card on file to a new one just in case, but does anyone have any idea why a future autopay would have failed already?
Hello, I am looking to cancel a line which has a paid off iPhone (recent model) on it. I have another line with about half of the installment left to pay off. Can I cancel this line, and turn in the iPhone as credit to pay off the line with the installment? I appreciate any feedback. Thank you.
