There's an outage so I thought no problem Ill just watch a movie off my file server. But nope can't even ping my local server with out Internet. Come on that's is total bs literally any router not provided by att allows you to do local networking without Internet. Its just evil. I see no reason for it to require Internet for something thats entirely local
I'm trading in my old phone for a new Samsung Galaxy. The Galaxy somehow shipped early 2 weeks before it is officially released and is in my hands now.
So how do I go about physically turning in my old phone? I don't think ATT has sent me any instructions.
Are they going to send me something?
Hi,
I'm currently on my sister-in-law's AT&T plan and I want to keep my phone number and transfer it to another existing AT&T account. The issue is my sister wants to keep the line and only transfer the phone number, but AT&T doesn't have anything online showing I can do that without a transfer of billing which AT&T is telling her if she does she will lose her line. Does anyone know how to only transfer the number from one AT&T account to another without canceling the pre-existing line my sister has?
It's very frustrating as I don't want to get a new phone number.
Ever since I switched to eSIM on iPhone 15 Pro, I don't get voicemails regularly. I only get them in bulk randomly. How do I fix that?
I bought ATT prepaid phone from ebay for cheap (it is well worth paying whatever money ATT asks for). I want to unlock the carrier, but the ATT unlock app on the phone says it needs 6months on prepaid service to be eligible for unlock.
As I am based in europe, how can I get 6months of prepaid service on the phone? Do I just buy the cheapest eSIM from ATT and keep it connected in roaming for 6months or do I need some contract with ATT signed in person? I have no idea how these things work in the USA.
Thanks for any guidelines.
Recently, I switched from t-mobile to ATT and also got the opportunity to upgrade my old phone (ip 14 pro to an ip 16 pro). that has never happened before on tmobile, but the salesperson opened my phone on his way to register without asking anything. I was wondering, I bought an Ipad and Im waiting to be delivered in store, when picking it up, can I ask the salesperson not to open the box? I would like to do it everything by myself.
I'm an HOA board member for a small townhouse-style condo complex that wants to get Fiber, since it's available here.
ATT MDU only seems to apply to 50 unit buildings so I can't figure out how to get g.fast or some multi fiber terminal from AT&T reps.
ATT Residential installers are willing to install fiber, but are only willing to run fiber straight from the overhead poles, across the large property into people's walls. We don't want fiber cables running straight into people's walls for aesthetic reasons.
Our units all have Coax and Cat5E running from the utility junction box, which currently has AT&T phone/dsl, and another companie's cable service. What are our options? I'm considering:
Buying a Nokia Lightspan (g.fast) or something similar, if somehow possible, setting it up by our cable junctions, and seeing if AT&T residential guys can hook up fiber to it. Not sure if they will, if I can even buy it, and if needs AT&T provisioning.
Building an outdoor electric junction box that can house several AT&T ONTs for each unit, and connect that to their cat5e or coax via moca, in the adjacent junction box. This would be big and would require running AC power but it's doable. I'm not sure if the AT&T residential installers are allowed to put the ONT in something like this. It will be much closer than 90% of the units though. I'd have a pole coming out vertically that they can run the fiber over to, and down through, to the junction box.
Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe alternative:
a) AT&T contacts that can help w/ smaller buildings (<50)
b) Hardware I can buy that's cheaper than Nokia / g.fast or is faster / more convenient to install, like a reverse powered from the house, like a reverse powered ONT?
c) Anything else?
Jesus Christ. I just got done with interviews in a corp store in a major city in the southeast. I got a call from a corp recruiter telling me they decided to move forward with me. YEEPIE right? I work at a job that keeps me outside in a brick shack the size of my closet for 8 hours with no A/C or Heat, no toilet, and a small 30 minute break where you are expected to go get food and bring it back to eat and work plus the manager is the worst person on the planet but he doesn’t micromanage or manage at all. All that for only 15 an hour. So when I heard they were moving forward I was excited. 16.2 an hour plus commission I can’t wait to start….. that was until I saw this Reddit. Everyone saying that it’s soul crushing and that they will give you insane sales goals. They set my goal at 11.5k in commission. But now I’m scared beyond belief and I’m wondering if I should just call and tell them I’m not interested anymore. I am you guys all seem to say it’s just the absolute worst job to work, AND THATS COMING FROM A GUY WHO SITS IN HIS CAR WITH THR HEAT ON MAX JUST TO FEEL HIS TOES AGAIN. So now I’m absolutely terrified. Wondering if I made the worst decision of my life. I’m 20, planing on moving soon, and I’m in collage (online for now) to get my business management degree. I have friends that work for cellular touch who are doing pretty well and my dad has worked for Bell south and Verizon and has never had bad things to say but he was always B2B and never in a store and my cousin is in a Verizon retailer as a manager in lower Florida and he doesn’t complain although he does want to become a firefighter now. But I just want you guys to please give it to me straight. Is it a decent job or not. If this isn’t it what do I do. I hate my current job and I’ve applied to T-Mobile and Verizon and never of them would take me (well I could have and still could make it into Verizon but that’s a whole story itself). I’m super scared and stressed now and they haven’t even finished my background check. Oh yeah I work 6 days a week only getting Monday’s off at my current job and the corp store is in a very high income area in the major city.
Edit. I’m now afraid that there is some corp assassin who looks at this Reddit and when they see this they will have me fired before I even start
Hi, I just bought a prepaid flip phone today, activated at the store, but looking at the app and website I'm really confused as to what I'm even paying for or how to continue paying. It looks like it's saying so many different things and I honestly have no clue which applies to me, or what Im even looking at. This is my first time every with at&t so this is all new to me. Am I paying a monthly service? Minutes? I can't even seem to find what plan I have or anything. I wish I could explain better but I'm so lost to even explain lol
WELP, today I learned about a mistake I made a few years ago. I went to try to upgrade my phone today with the AT&T NEXT UP plan and was told that I would not get my full trade in credit of $1,000 for my current phone. They said since I was halfway through my plan that I'd only receive half of the credits from the trade in program.
I have learned that I need to either read and observe the key details or maybe just stick to unlocked phones from now on. Has this happened to any of you all?
i ordered a apple watch in store at att yesterday and the guy who works there said i should get it this week and then the tracking says it won’t ship until April?! that’s like months away has this happened to anyone else
I am presuming this is rhetorical, but is there any way I can speed up the process for the OTP verification? I switched from Cricket to AT&T on Sunday. Ever since I have been trying to purchase the new S25 Ultra from the Samsung store via AT&T financing ($1,000 trade in). I add my phone number and last four of my social. I then copy and paste the One-Time pin, then I get the message "The mobile number you have entered is not eligible to receive an OTP. Please provide an eligible mobile number or check with your carrier."
I talked with AT&T and Samsung and they both say there is nothing they can do and it will take 48 hours for the OTP to verify. The S25 Ultra in Black went from 2/7 ship date, to 2/20, and now 3/5.
To finish my rant, is there any way I can speed up this process.... thanks all.
2 Questions:
1: My current phone is paid off & I want to trade it in for an upgrade. They are willing to give me $830 for my phone and the new one is $1,000. Am I able to pay the remaining 170 at the time of my trade in or does it HAVE to be on my monthly bill?
2: The rep said by default they add the $10 auto upgrade feature (you’re charged $10 a month but can upgrade phone at anytime regardless of what the remaining balance is on the phone) but I don’t want to pay for that. He said it’s set to the by default, insinuating it has to be set up on my bill that way but I am able to get rid of it any time. Am I able to decline at the time of my trade in or it does it also have to be on my monthly bill?
TIA

My wifi got really slow all of a sudden for about an hour but its working fine now. But Smart Home Manager doesn't let me check the devices on the wifi or any other information on the internet, it just says "Uh-oh! Something went wrong.
The internet is temporarily paused on any device connected to your Wi-Fi network. Please wait and try again in a few minutes"
Why coculd this have happened and will it fix by itself?
Its been 3 hours now and the wifi is still unstable, theres brief moments where it seems to be fine but shortly after it isnt. Smart Home Manager had started working again but stopped again and wont let me run wifi tests, diagnostics or restart the gateway.
When I was a kid I was flipping through the channels on my TV. I had AT&T. I came across this channel. It was just footage of fish underwater. It would play music in the background that had no words. What was up with that? Just curious. I was really little so I didn't understand the function of that channel.
I am currently on an older AT&T plan with a Samsung Galaxy S20.
I would like to keep the current AT&T plan, but get an S25.
If I purchase the unlocked S25 from Samsung.com, can I still go into an AT&T branch and ask them to set up the new S25 for me? (i.e. set up the SIM cards, transfer data, etc)
I purchased my iPhone on the 24th of November. My wife got orders from the navy to move to her new command in Italy. We got her iPhone 16 unlocked but AT&T says since I got my new iPhone 2 days after her report date they can’t unlock it. Is there anything else I can do, don’t really wanna spend an extra $120 a month.
Plus I also heard that AT&T will stop service after a couple of months of living here. Don’t know if it’s true but if it is I’m basically screwed
After hours with support troubleshooting my iphone 16 pro, I still cant make/receive phone calls and messages but my internet is working fine. Changed esim 5 times and still the same. All the troubleshooting for the phone they told me to do didnt work. I even tried getting a physical sim and use it on a different phone and still the same, I have internet but cant make and receive phone calls and messages. I been talking to them for a week now and they still cant resolve this issue. I even tried suspending my number and unsuspending it myself via app but still the same. Anyone had this experience and were you able to resolve?
I just experienced and incredibly rude sales team member when I called to inquire about a quote. I tried looking online for somewhere I can complain, but I couldn’t find anything. Can someone here help me?
When I said I was just calling for a quote when he gave me the available options in my area, he laughed, told me off, and hung up on me.
I have the basic AT&T Unlimited how do I know if I’m being slowed down?
We have AT&T Business Fiber with a block of static ip's and for the last few months every few days the internet goes down over the static ip's. I typically monitor it off-site and as soon as the the packets start to drop I get a notification from our firewall that the primary wan is down.
I've called AT&T Business support at least a dozen times and explained the problem, begged them to check and see over the course of the phone call if they see the static ip's dropping out but apparently they can't do that, the only offer is to send a tech to replace the modem.
They check the signal and everything looks good so it must be something else.
So my questions is there any way to get in touch with a competent AT&T business tech support to get the issue resolved or do we just have to go back to comcast?

Let me see if I can make this make sense. When I traded in my previous iPhone I got a significant amount in trade in credits, such as that my current iPhone costs me something like $4.44 a month. I have 16 months left on that installment plan.
I was looking at upgrading my phone, according to the website with my iPhone 14 Pro I could get an iPhone 16 for zero dollars.
I'm assuming I would have to pay off my phone sans credits to do that, which would cost over $440.
Is that correct?
If so, even if I get a free new phone it seems like I could probably wait out the term of the installment plan and get the same/similar deal in 16 months right? Trading in right now seems like a bad move.
Just started today after years of working fine. Plays for about 5 seconds, then loses signal. If I change channel it again works for 5 seconds before stopping. Read online that it can be fault wire or receiver, except can’t be that for me because it’s happening for both my main box and my wireless box.
Interesting note I tried completely unplugging the main box, and that triggered the wireless box to start working again. I left it unplugged and the wireless box worked for about 20 minutes and then stopped, back to the usual 5 seconds per channel thing.
Any other ideas of what I can try? Maybe this is the final nudge I need to finally cut the cord ha
I bought a block of static IPs from AT&T and was trying to assign the public IP to an internal TP-Link router. No matter what I tried (IP Passthrough on or off) I could not get the IP config to work.
The weird this is that the IP config worked on a Win10 laptop.
So, needless to say...I got pissed off and canceled the static IP order. I'll just take my chances with IP Passthrough and hope the WAN IP doesn't change.
For employees only!! Lol
I’m trying to do a shift swap with one of my coworkers and shift marketplace isn’t in the Shift app for me anymore. My SM and ASM are saying they “can’t do schedule adjustments” anymore
The normal shift marketplace isn’t where it usually is and people tools won’t load for me to submit the rest of my Rollover Vacation before March when it goes away. Does anyone know anything about these tools not working or when they will be up? Or how I can go about getting my shift swapped and everything.
