IMEI Not Found

I was looking at switching from Cricket Wireless to AT&T under one of their BYOD plans. It would allow me to also get a $20 discount on our fiber plan. When enter my device IMEI number in their system it says it's not found. When I enter it in Cricket's it is found. Not sure why the discrepancy.

What are your thoughts working as an Installation tech (Premise Tech) for AT&T? Specifically Union.

I’ve been given an offer letter for a Premise Technician role with AT&T at a union. Anyone here familiar with that role and what the training was like?

What’s the fail rate during training? Any particular skills I should study? Math, Terminology, etc. Pros? Cons?

Discount for Therapists- Medical

I know that they do not given therapists discounts and just physicians and licensed nurses. Even though I agree that is deserved for them, what about the other working in the healthcare field? The speech pathologists, the physical therapists and their PTAs, the occupational therapists and their COTAs? It’s not right. We are still helping patients, transferring them, bathing/dressing them, and helping our nurses. Does any know where or who to contact about getting something like this?

Need help setting up

I’m trying to help setting up my son phone and I’m stuck .. it’s a Motorola g and I try calling both att and moto there no tech support available this is crazy I’m having issue with copying over old device it was pairing but my phone slip and disconnected and I put both side by side and now it claims it can’t copy..

Do I need Bluetooth on?!8 can’t remember and the old device is giving me issue wifi keeps going out.. plz help..

There no tech help at this time of nite?

how long do att prepaid visa reward cards take to ship?

anyone know? its my first time receiving a reward card and i had accidentally picked a physical card to be mailed rather than a digital one. they dont provide any tracking and im usually not home often which leads to a lot of people stealing my mail.

Att breach. Any past customers not getting a code for free monitoring but were alerted by other monitoring services you use your info is on dark web!? Idk what to do!

I found out Att wonderfully leaked my social, an old address, old email and number on the dark web via Experian and my other lender monitoring service. I call ATT and nobody will help me bc my account was old and closed years ago and they can’t see anything as a result. They keep telling me bc I’m no longer a customer I’m fine. It’s not fine!!!! I have found out two ways I was compromised by specifically ATT in the worst way. It’s how I found out about all this. Nobody at customer service speaks English and refuses to help bc my account was closed long ago with an old email they said would be emailed and no longer exists. Same with an address I haven’t lived in in 6 years. If that’s the case then why on earth did they have our sensitive information without protection still????? Yet now they can’t help me even get their measly one year offer of support. This is a nightmare. I will be joining any class action lawsuits. I am beyond livid and their customer support is an absolute joke. Most of them I’ve spoken to don’t even know a lot of us were customers a long time ago and don’t even speak English

Received AT&T reward card with $20 balance instead of $100.

Anyone had this issue before? I activated and checked the card and it only came with $20. Can’t call them today but definitely will tomorrow.

Trade-in program did not grant credits - need help!

So, I traded in my devices a couple months prior - 3 to be exact. I did the whole process, got sent a box, traded them in. However, it has now been 6 months and I have not received any credits for my devices. I contacted ATT and was told they only received one device. But if I remember correctly they only sent me one box and I simply shipped all three in the same box. I have the tracking number for it. Can anyone confirm that only one box is sent for trade-in devices? Or is there a box per device? If so, then how can I prove all three devices were sent? Thank you for any and all help!

Ordered new phone and plan for wife, not sure if I did it wrong?

Hello, I am wanting to clear up whether or not I messed up.

I went to the ATT app and pressed “Buy a new device” located right under my “current devices” which is just my phone. I ordered a new phone and a plan with it for my wife and am trading her old phone in, but after I placed the order I realized I may done it wrong.

Did I order a new phone for “myself” or is it separate? My plan now says something along the lines of “we received your trade in request…” etc.

Just wanting to see, just Incase I need to cancel.

EDIT:

They had me send them my ID for verification, and then they cancelled my order as they “couldn’t verify the order came from me”

EDIT 2:

My normal plan for myself which included a trade in has gone up nearly $50, from $104 to $150. I think I accidentally messed up mine.

Why can't I get my monthly bill lower?

I bought a hotspot in November [added $50/month to my bill]. I have 3 lines on plan and get Education discount. I removed and cancelled the hotspot from my bill in January. All of the phones are paid off and I get HBOmax from AT&T. So why is my bill $310/month?

I called AT&T Retention last week and while it seemed like the Customer Service Rep helped [I was on with him for 45 minutes!] I just got my bill and still have sticker shock. Before I got the hotspot [my bill in Nov. 2023] was only $175. What the heck? Any ideas on what else I should do beside changing carriers? I'm happy with the service, but this price is whack.

First Net Trade In- Scam?

I sent my trade in phone inside of the box provided. That was on Dec 29th. Today, still no trade in credit, I call about once a week. Everybody promises case numbers, none of them ever get generated. I was told I’d be getting my credits by the 3rd billing cycle at the latest. We’re well past that now. The tracking says delivered. So no phone, no credits, no help.

Title: Solution for Persistent "Mobile Data Turned Off" Notification on Samsung Devices

Hello everyone,

Like many of you, I encountered a frustrating issue with my new Samsung phone connected to AT&T. I noticed a persistent notification stating "Mobile Data Turned Off" that wouldn't go away, similar to the problem discussed in this post. Since I keep my mobile data turned off most of the time, this notification was particularly annoying.

After trying every possible setting and adb, I decided to write a quick fix myself. The typical solutions like using ADB required root access, which I wanted to avoid. So, I developed a small piece of code that effectively blocks this notification without needing to root the device.

You can find the code and installation instructions on my GitHub: Samsung-Data-Notification-Blocker. This solution is currently tailored for Samsung devices, but if you are experiencing similar issues on other types of phones and need help, feel free to reach out to me. I’d be glad to assist in adapting this fix to other devices.

Refer-A-Friend denied

Hello everyone, I recently (~2 weeks ago) switched over to AT&T Fiber using a friend's referral code to get a $75 bill credit. However, I just received an email from AT&T saying:

"Thanks for signing up for AT&T Fiber. However, we're not able to apply your bill credit for the following reason: Ineligible Due to New Customer Account Status."

I am not sure what this means, and it doesn't give me a way to contact them about it in the email. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and how was it resolved?

Does the loyalty $5 per line offer still exist?

Bill is high and trying to not switch to T-Mobile, we have 5 voice lines and I saw some people have been successful talking to loyalty in getting an extra $5 off per line. Do I have to be on a certain plan to get that, and do I have to do an upgrade to do so? All lines are on unlimited premium except for one which is on starter. Will be upgrading my tablet line in a month when the new iPad Pro comes out (hopefully) and my mom prob needs to upgrade from her 12 at some point anyways.

Customer Service Numbers on AT&T Website Keep Changing?

Hi,

The company I work for is thinking of using AT&T for our internet so I went on the AT&T website to do some research on the plans they offered. I had a short call with a representative using the number provided by the website under their Internet Air plan and went to call again today. I realized later on that the number I called yesterday and the number I called today were different and went back on the website to double check and the number they had provided changed again. Is this normal or is the website I'm using corrupted or something? The representative that I talked to today also sent me an email regarding placing an order through him and asked me to provide things such as tax id, desired 4 digit security pin, and an answer to security question so that he could place the order. Are those normal questions to ask before an account is even set up? I'm just wondering because the person that emailed me this had a LinkedIn profile linked in his signature but the profile that shows up in that link is a completely different name compared to the name that shows up with his email address so I don't know if I somehow am getting scammed/phished by one of their customer service reps. His email address ends in @ att.com so I thought it might be legit but am not sure. Thanks for any help/information anyone can provide!

iphone is missing from my Unopened Return- Am I being scammed?

My dad recently sent back his unopened iphone 14 and after weeks of trying to get confirmation that AT&T received it, they finally told me they did receive it. But now AT&T is saying there wasn't a phone in the returned Apple box and that it had been opened. I know for a fact my dad didn't mess this up and there is clearly something really fishy going on at AT&T. Someone is obviously taking returns and now AT&T wants me to pay for a $700 phone that was returned to them. What is happening!?!?

WiFi disconnects all devices for ~10 seconds every 10 minutes (ATT Fiber)

Please help, I'm losing my mind. My wifi has been working perfectly fine for almost a year. Starting last week, now the Wifi seems to crash every 10 minutes or so.

It disconnects my TV, all phones, and tablets from the wifi for around 10 seconds, then they auto reconnect. What's weird is my PC on wifi has not experienced these issues though. This makes my wifi basically useless.

I have been on the phone with ATT support for a total of like 7 hours and they are utterly useless. Probably the most unhelpful support people I've ever experienced. They messed up my router even more to where it was unusable so I just factory reset it, but still have this issue.

Again, the issue began randomly and persists after factory reset.

Anyone have an idea?

How much Gbs exactly is in the At&T Value Plus VL Plan

It says unlimited and data may slow down when it’s busy but I really don’t know what that means and it has deprioritization so the high speed data definitely caps somewhere but I find no information anywhere. Does anyone on here know?

Prime Connections how is it like working there?

I have seen previous post(s) of whether people enjoyed working there or not but most of them are from a year ago or 5+ months ago. Most that I’ve seen are negative, but I want to see if it’s still the same.So I just had my 2nd interview today and they want to push me forward.

How is it like working at prime connections? I would say that, the managers are pushing me towards a more busier store (I am located in socal) the reasoning is because I am bilingual, I also have experience in sales I used to do D2D sales for Verizon for around 7months it was good money averaging around 800-1,000 a week. After that I moved on to Car insurance and it is pretty good but I’m am moving away from that as the environment that I am in is toxic.

So I did see the pay is 16.78 hourly + commission, however I am choosing between this job or a retail sales position at a jewelry store, the pay is 21 an hour (no commission) I got an offer later and I also went for my 2nd interview today and the job description is pretty easy just seeing if ppl are interested in jewelry, the only reason I haven’t accepted is because there is no commission to be made. I guess I wondering if I could also get some insight of what job to chose from.

Paying for the service after cancelation

So, I bought an iPhone 15 Pro 'for just $50' with a new line at Walmart. I asked the Walmart employee if I had to pay for the phone afterward, and he said no, just for the line. I asked him multiple times to clarify. When I called AT&T at home to inquire about this promotion, I was informed that it wasn't true. I would have to pay for both the line and the phone, making my total monthly payment $75 (or something similar). Realizing I didn't need it, I returned the phone to Walmart and canceled the line the following week. However, I've noticed that I still have to pay $110 for the service, even though it's canceled. Do I have to pay this money to AT&T, or is there a mistake?
