The Weapons reddit
Weapons - any device used in order to inflict damage or harm to living beings, structures, or systems. Weapons are used to increase the efficacy and efficiency of activities such as hunting, crime, law enforcement, self-defense, and warfare. In a broader context, weapons may be construed to include anything used to gain a strategic, material or mental advantage over an adversary.
While just about any ordinary objects such as sticks, stones, cars, or pencils can be used as weapons, many are expressly designed for the purpose – ranging from simple implements such as clubs, swords and guns, and to complicated modern intercontinental ballistic missiles, biological and cyberweapons.

Okay, I'm x army, my go to is a 40 or 45 but I have an M-9 I use when contracting.
A former officer who I worked on their PSD 20 years ago and is a "buddy" contracted a disease that is wasting muscle. She's in the middle.of the desert but has trouble holding a .45 94 full frame 9mm for much time. She wants a home defense pistol for a min. Of 10' - max of 30' based on her bedroom to hallway angles.
Before I made recommendations I took her to a PHX range and confirmed she.was good at 15 yards with a lighter 9mm but it was harder on her. (Still center mass but loose grouping - fired a full box so not bad for 65+ and weakened)
Any suggestions on best Ballance and lower kick/weight that's intruder effective at that distance?
I thought about the FN 7.2 but I can't find a lighter compact. Would a.9mm with subsonic ammo reduce recoil or what about .380 ? I tried to recommend a suppressed Ruger .22lr since shed use it inside and I know what that feels like after with a .40 and no plugs...
She watched my butt when I came into that unit as an E-4 and she helped me toward WO so I owe her but she can't lift and hold steady my duty pistol (sig .40)
I want to learn a weapon with a relatively steep learning curve for use in martial arts, and I'm a huge fan of the three section staff, so I was wondering if anybody could point out a solid brand with a good budget option for a training version (rubber, foam, etc.)

This freakish looking axe is from the 3rd Edition of D&D, it definitely is bizarre, but I'm gonna be honest. This shit looks fucking rad as hell. Like, I cannot imagine finding a way to make this thing look lame. So, my question is, would this thing actually be viable in any form of real world combat? It seems, strange for sure and sort of unwieldy but, at the same time using it seems pretty simple just based on the image, I could definitely imagine how you could hold it, but I'm not sure.
Basically you have a normalish handle with a upright stick and a locking mechanism for the top bow at the back of the handle. Basically the Bows are in a T formation and is hallow so you can put liquids in it to coat your ammo in, including poison and flammable liquids. It allows you to shoot 2 arrows at the same time, and it is really upgrade friendly and easily able to become other weapons. For example: having a hard time seeing past the bows, turn them into X-Bows who do the same but allows you to shoot 4 arrows. Usually hand held as well as made of metal and wood with some leather and tight rope. String can be replaced with rope.

I don’t trust the people in my neighborhood so I want to keep myself safe. I did my research online but I can’t find anything that I can carry as a minor, I’m wondering if I missed anything. Thanks! (Rockford, Illinois)
Imagine if you turned shovels into weapons, how cool would that be
Does the yashin 105 use heat-fs or some other type of warhead?

Been playing Fallout 4 a lot lately and loving the lever action rifle in game. Got me thinking how practical these babies would be in an IRL scenario. Seems like a winner to me, powerful, reliable, doesnt give a shit about your cover. Pros and cons of lever guns in a post apocalyptic wasteland?
I also made this version. Tiger Shark teeth cast in Nickel Silver and Bronze.
I made this a while back. The teeth are Tiger Shark teeth cast in Nickel Silver
Rusty weapons generally have a higher chance of giving you tetanus I believe. If you were to slash someone with a rusty weapon and the person managed to live would they have a higher chance of dying to tetanus? Similar to how people would coat arrow or blow darts in poison but instead you just let the knife or sword made the poison.
So I’m planning on doing a smash test for a weapon I’m building when the epoxy fully sets just having trouble finding stuff for said test have any suggestions. Now I don’t want to use anything soft like foam I want something that’ll bring test the true strength of my weapon like what I’ve seen in forged in fire.so any suggestions do include where I could get your suggestion. (Disclaimer this has been hard to explain due to its kinda odd nature and me thinking it up as I typed so I hope I did in a way easy to understand)
My friend asked I'd I knew how to make a molotov and I said no and he laughed at me, can someone tell me how, for strictly educational purposes only.
I’ve tried looking it up on Google and I can’t find anything. I saw something similar on a page about Naruto. Is that what this is from? I swear I’ve seen a real one I just can’t remember where.
