I'm not sure this is the correct thread to be posting on, and I have pretty low karma so there isn't many places I can go.
The Germanwings 9525 crash was almost 10 years ago now and looking back through some older posts from that time several Reddit users claimed that the video from inside the plane moments before its crash does in fact exist. One user went as far as linking the supposed video but the link no longer works.
Does anyone know if the video exists? If so, can it be linked? Or if you remember seeing it but can't find it, can I have someone just describe it very very detailed?
I am really not trying to be disrespectful, but I still feel like there isn't closure until either I find out for sure this video does or doesn't exist.
Thanks!
Let’s say someone wanted to travel to attu island from mobile Alabama international airport (nearly a 5,000 mile trip) and wanted to do it in a small tiltortor plane and wanted to make said trip in under 18 hours. What would the best plane be in terms of affordability and range? and how many times would they need to stop to refuel?
All assuming the plane is carrying no cargo and just the pilot, copilot and 3 passengers.
Has anyone done a custom order from Daron? If so how was the quality of the aircraft model and can it be used for personal orders?
It seemed like every route bei g flown by a CRJ today was very delayed but none of the other routes with larger planes was delayed. Is there any reason to that? I noticed this at DTW but didnt check other airports
The SR-71 Blackbird reportedly evaded around 4,000 missiles fired at it. One close call occurred during the Vietnam War when the Blackbird narrowly escaped two North Vietnamese SAMs
It never been shot down It uses electronic countermeasures and an advanced jamming technology could block missiles from receiving updated locations
The SAAB 37 VIGGEN actually locked onto a radar and achieved a missile lock on an SR-71 Blackbird due to them knowing the flight path and other factors like experienced pilot and unique radar capabilities and the VIGGEN design capability , but still its missiles will not be able to reach the Blackbird's high altitude and speed of 3.2 MACH and no one ever did in the history.
I love this. Knowing this has happened on countless occasions makes me laugh. US Naval tradition dictates that when a pilot mistakenly lands on the wrong aircraft carrier, fellow crew members do their best to remain discreet so as not to embarrass the pilot.
How do the E3’s cables work? I mean like how do they not get twisted when the radar is spinning? Same for things such as the A50 and KJ2000.
Might be a dumb question, but comes from witnessing an extremely quiet plane hovering above my school and trying to figure out what the hell it is. This was years ago, so the details I remember must be taken with a grain of salt, but my mom was there with me so I know it wasn’t a dream or something and she has confirmed details with me.
There was a plane, passenger plane-esque in shape (large cylindrical body, one wing on each side, tail). All black, no windows on its sides. It was hovering a few hundred feet above my school, we couldn’t hear any noise from it (granted we were in a car so maybe something very low level?) and it didn’t make any more noise when it flew away after we stopped and stared at it for 10-15 seconds. I don’t remember any distinctive markings. Also, the town I went to high school in was right next to a military air base so my best guess is that it was something from there.
Any planes remotely match this description? The closest thing I can find is something like the Lockheed U-2, but even that is too small and isn’t capable of the quiet and low hovering we saw. Could also be a drone, so I’ll poke around a drone related subreddit and see what I can find. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
I really don’t know what the Boeing P-8 Poseidon is. May I get some help with it?

My first aviation love. This aircraft flew out of Kaneohe MCAS mid to late 80's. I lived near base and went to school across the bay. Used to see her fly all the time. Loved to the Red Devil. Now she is at the Smithsonian Museum near KIAD. Still a sight
Definitely weirded me out from a distance. Figured you guys might be able to give more answers.
