Is the Narcotics Enforcement Team still in operation in the county? I know that years ago they had a lot of corrupt cops on the team. I remember one was caught trading drugs for sex. The FBI I think set up a sting to catch him in one of the local hotels. They had to keep it a secret from Sheriff Tirey so he wouldn’t tip him off. I think it was Danny Robinson. Does anyone know if he ever did time for this? Of course he was fired but I never heard if he went to prison for it.

I was wondering, what is the best restaurant in Jasper based on your opinion? (Personally, I think Los Reyes is the best)

I'm an Australian with American heritage. My 3rd great grandfather was born in walker county, Alabama in 1839. He would eventually move to Texas. But it's really cool to find my ancestors dotted across the south. Are there any local historians here who could tell me about what was happening in walker county during the 1830's?
