It’s that time of the year again so I decided to try this and a pumpkin ale. Didn’t particularly care for the ale.

Pinter is hosting our first International Backyard Bar Awards. The winner gets $10,000 and its free for anyone to submit. (no purchase.) Just a photo and some basic info is needed!
We’re welcoming bars large and small, simple and complex, sleek and silly. It’s all about the bar that creates the best experience. (aka, it's not about the biggest or who spent the most money)

Does anyone know what is going on with this distributor? The beer person at my local grocery store said that they are cutting 75%-80% of their portfolio. I have to imagine some of the craft beer they distribute will be affected.
Would love to share some of my cellar with some like minded people. New to the area and would appreciate a recommendation to find bottle shares in Birmingham
First Salty Nut, then Fractal and now Bowler Hat is closing too!
What's going on up in Huntsville with all these brewery closings? All I ever hear is about how many people live in that area now.
Flying into Birmingham tomorrow and driving south to Autaugaville, but want to stop somewhere to eat by the airport preferably heading south. Saw Monday Night’s brewpub and that’s the plan as of now, but am just curious if I am missing anything? Will have two kids with me as well and outside seating would be ideal. Timing will be around 11:30am.
Additionally, what’s everyone’s favorites in the Montgomery area? Not sure I’ll get there, but just in case. Like just about everything, but especially saisons and lagers. Thanks and cheers!🍻
What are y'alls thoughts?
If I travel through Alabama what local beers should I try?
I have a TikTok where I post shower beer reviews. I have been hitting Alabama breweries pretty hard. If anybody would like a good laugh and to hear about some beer I like let me know and I’ll post the link.
Anyone checked it out? Randomly came across it looking on Google maps of the Mobile area and hadn’t heard anything on it. How long have they been open?
Does anybody know anything about their plans?
I had a 12+% 120 minute IPA this weekend and was curious about if anyone else goes out of town for beer purchases.
Have any of y’all been? Can’t rem the name, but I think it’s in the old Cheaha building. How’s the beer?
A GABF Gold winning hazy IPA quietly snuck on to shelves here in Huntsville.
I moved here from Denver back in January and was excited to see this gem show up. Coors doesn't even have anything about the medal on the package, they're being very modest.
Gonna be in Birmingham for Furnace Fest over the weekend. Just kinda wondering if there is anything to know about the beer scene down there. I'm seeing that most breweries close around 10, but are there any silly laws or other things to know about? You know, like in Montana where you can only have 48 oz.
To-go limits yet?
Anyone managed to score a sixtel to go?
Chime in! Let's hear your experience!
yup! As of Sunday 1 August! From the Free the Hops newsletter:
Did you know that starting on August 1, 2021, each customer visiting a brewery in Alabama will be able to purchase up to 864 oz of beer (the equivalent of 3 cases of 12 oz beers) to go from the taproom? Did you realize that includes a sixtel? While not all breweries will be set up to sell kegs to go on August 1, some will. Ask about it, and support your local brewery!
