I have a 6 mo golden retriever and I would like to start taking him for daily walks. We’ve been to the greenway in Bailey Cove a few times and he likes it but I would like to explore some other places too.
Would also love suggestions for dog friendly patios, just things to do with him out and about.
We actually live past Lacey on Brindlee Mtn. but there are so many strays here & no one keeps their dogs up so I am afraid of being attacked while walking. Because of this, I’m willing to make the drive with him.
Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 10 am. Please join the North Alabama Chapter of the Travis Manion Foundation in recovering the wreaths placed during Veterans Day.
Any help is greatly appreciated and if you have a truck, please drive it to help moving wreaths from gravesites to transport truck within the cemetery.
Hope to see you there and look for the TMF flag to find us.
Thanks!
I am looking to hire a housekeeper to do general and deep cleaning every 2 weeks. What is the average cost around here for a 3000 sq ft house?
Hello!
I have a mold issue in my apartment, it was making my son and I sick for about 8 months until I figured out there was black mold growing in my A/C unit and maintenance cleaned it. I continue to have mold growing in the bathroom, bedroom and around winds regardless of how much I clean. My apartment complex tells me it’s mildew and that cleaning this is standard apartment housekeeping. I send in pictures and have many emailed correspondence about the mold. My lease isn’t up for a couple more months but I would really like to move out and stop dealing with this.
What actions should I take? I’ve lived in many apartments and I’ve never had this mold issue before.
Thank you!
Hosting an event and wanting one of those big to go boxes of coffee. Problem is, I don't drink coffee so I literally have zero gauge for what's good. Someone recommended PJ's Coffee. Somewhere local would be preferred but not required.

So my fiancée and I are newly sober and trying to find stuff to do that doesn't involve drinking. Something fun that isn't a bar or bar like. There is gotta be something fun to do at night that doesn't involve the bar.
I received a call Christmas Eve from someone saying there’s a complaint against me from the county. They called twice. I answered the second time due to being confused about it but they claimed they couldn’t tell me what it was about. They also said I had received a letter about it and missed a court date (I think, can’t remember) but I never received mail about anything. The number she told me to call is for an interior design company that’s not even in the us but she kept saying it’s a law office. I ignored it due to others in my area saying they’ve received similar calls and it was a scam. Also mind you they know my address and said they’ve been trying to locate me. If you know where I live then you know how to find me…. Anyways fast forward to today they’ve called me again but this time from a number with no caller id (never blocked the first number) and they also called my mom. They’ve also claimed that they’ve tried reaching out multiple times yet I’ve only received two other calls. I haven’t done anything for anyone to be attempting to locate me and also I know people don’t call before coming so what is this and what do I do about it?
This cat has decided to start living on our front porch near Lowe Mill. It is super friendly. Anyone missing it?

Lowe Mill rent increase and lower reservation numbers between August and December has put the organization at risk of shutdown.
Is there anywhere in town I can get some good Mexican food for breakfast? I miss getting good breakfast tacos in Texas
Hey guys! I moved here from Birmingham about a year ago and am seriously missing Birmingham’s more upscale restaurants. It doesn’t seem like Huntsville has too many fine dining restaurants. Maybe I’m just missing something! I’m wanting to go out to a super fancy dinner with my husband, but can’t find more than maybe 5 nicer restaurants. Can anyone suggest some places?
What are some good areas to live in north Huntsville? I'm going to be working in south Tennessee and want to live close to Huntsville.
This is a passionate call to action for animal advocates in Madison County, North Alabama. The goal is to raise awareness about animal neglect and abuse in the area and push for positive change at the county and state levels. Currently, at the county and state level, the only criteria for abuse is if in the animal is visibly starving or has been visibly physically abused. Basically, the animal needs to be on death’s bed before Animal Control can step in. This also ties the hands of rescues or other organizations who want to help.
Next week is important. There will be two meetings where we can be the voice for these neglected animals.

Friend of mine caught word this morning that all the employees showed up for work this morning, sign on the door stating they were permanently closed and weren't notified... Anyone heard any rumors about this?
I've checked and their HSV location webpage is gone, social media accounts for the location are also gone... Looks like the last "update" to the webpage was back in October for the location as well. SOMEONE had to have known something and could have forewarned them to start looking... I feel bad about folks being out of a job on New Year's Day.... ☹️
We are having issues with 60+ year old cast iron sewer pipes and were recently told that we would need the pipes replaced under our basement slab. I know the technology exists to reline the pipes rather than replace them, but I'm not sure if anyone in town offers that service. Has anyone know of a company and/or had this service done? Any help is appreciated!
I am working on a project that looks back on 2024 and I need to know... what are the biggest, most noteworthy things that happened in Huntsville in 2024?
Examples are:
What else?
Hi Friends! I’m looking for a place to take my mama out drankin’! Myself, my husband, and a friend are taking my 76 year old (but very young for her age) mom out on the town this weekend.
She likes dancing, and karaoke, and doesn’t mind places that are too loud, but smoking indoors wouldn’t be fun for her.
Seeking a few places with an older crowd, like 40’s plus, because a bunch of teeny-boppers screaming Pink Pony Club also would not be fun for her.
All suggestions welcome and appreciated:)
This is the second year my home insurance has gone up by 40%! I am insured with Travelers. I have all my policies with them.
Never had any claims, good payer, excellent credit score.
Is everyone's insurance jacked up too?
