Serious question, how do y’all deal with Bammers? I just feel like they’re so insufferable, I wonder how y’all keep your composure. They’re bad enough on the internet, finding their way to our own pages just speaking nonsense and hate. HOW do y’all do it?!
If you were to assign a figure, for instance 50% QB / 50% coaching, to identify what our problem formulating an effective offense this season were this season what would it be?
I ask because I am of the opinion that we aren't going to simply plug another transfer QB in and have all our problems go away. That's not to say it couldn't help a good bit if we got the right guy.
I don't think we built an offense around our players, rather forced them to play in an offense that didn't align with their strengths.
I'd go 30% QB / 70% coaching.
Edit: I get this isn't a scientific question the way I have formatted it, however the responses are all way more interesting so far than the "Thorne sucks and I'm so happy he is gone" that has plagued this sub the last few days.
Now that you've had 48 hours to digest both the alcohol and the events of the past weekend, how are you feeling about both last week and the upcoming week? Discussion and analysis about both the previous weeks SEC games as well as upcoming games. Are our in-conference foes looking better than expected? Worse? What did the past weekend do to your confidence in our future matchups?
Hey all, here is an early preview of my annual "Continuously Updated Early NSD post." This is a twice a year post detailing where we stand as National Signing Day progresses. Below I have a lot of our signees / commits / targets. Feel free to take a look and see where we currently stand. I put it out early so people can A) Point out all the dumb things I’ve got wrong so it will be correct come NSD, and B) Just get people familiar with the names involved (as well as crowdsource any additional names I have missed in setting this up). I would appreciate any input anyone could provide as it's a lot of names to keep up with. I probably missed several changes in number of stars or commitment statuses. Any updates there would be appreciated. I’m also including a transfer tracker which is a newer addition. That is going to be a headache and a half, so PLEASE help keep me straight there as well.
Final notes: Early signing period has had a date change starting in 2024 and going forward. It’s been moved up three weeks. From now on, it will now be held the week before conference championship games rather than right before Christmas. This year, it runs December 4-6. All times below are Eastern. All projections are my own. I’m not sure how many we can take this time around. If someone else knows, please let me know. Also keep in mind that transfers don’t count towards rankings. War Damn.

We had a 5-7 football season. That's not what we wanted but that's okay. We don't just love Auburn football, we love Auburn. I believe in Auburn and love it. War Damn Eagle!
So, football is done (most likely) until next year. Basketball season is upon us. Before we close the football season what are your keys to success? Secondary question, what do you consider success?
My take -
#1 - Play calling. Freeze has to either start passing off recruiting and solely focus on being an OC or make adjustments at OC and hire someone he can trust to do it full time. Dude wears too many hats.
#2 - Special teams. So many screw ups. Part of that is McPherson being out (hope he heals up well, football is less important than health) but even outside of kicking good god we need help.
#3 - QB. Whether Walker White rises or we hire a “gun for hire” we need a “dude”. Plain and simple.
Those are my big 3. What are yours and do you think it can be done?
Success to me as much as it makes me gag is 9-4 with a bowl win and a “winning” attitude.
Portal Szn chaos is upon us!
Since I enrolled at Auburn in the COVID-19 year 2020. Auburn football has been historically bad. 5 Straight losses to Alabama, 28-33 record (18-26 SEC). 3 head coaches. Just an absolute waste of talent of Jarquez Hunter, Bo Nix, and others. But there is hope for next year. Not because of our recruiting class, but because I'm the bad luck charm on auburn football, and I'm graduating in May. So we'll be back to our winning ways in 2025.
Who gets the spot? Who (if anybody) should Auburn pick up in the portal and why?
Hunter accrued 3,371 in his Auburn career, with the final 56 yards against Bama moving him ahead of Ben Tate and Joe Cribbs. He now sits behind only James Brooks, Cadillac Williams, and Bo Jackson. I think it's safe to call Hunter one of our all-time great running backs.
For the record, he finished 8th in rushing touchdowns (25) behind Ronnie Brown, Stephen Davis, Tre Mason, Kerryon Johnson, Joe Cribbs, Bo Jackson, and Cadillac Williams.
I was thinking about it this morning. We don't have a dominant running back in the wings. We don't have a great offensive line returning five starters. We don't have a quarterback who could beat out Thorne this year.
I know we have receiver talent coming out of our ears and a hell of a recruiting class but I'm just not feeling that optimistic. This year was supposed to be that growth year, the year we accepted 7-8 wins as we grew into a powerhouse. So is next year now the growth year where we are happy to go to a midweek bowl game nobody watches?
Use code “Thanks” on Ticketmaster. Sale ends today. Let’s pack out State Farm Arena!
Now that this failed coat hanger abortion of a season is in the books, who are we about to massively overspend for at quarterback while we get Deuce ready?
That's all I have to say🥂
I have memories of Ben Leard being inconsistent as well as some pretty terrible memories of Daniel Cobb. Who else should be on this list?
We have the best team in the country and we're on a roll.
We're going into hostile territory and ESPN analytics favors Duke heavily.
Anyone have any insight? Thoughts on how the game will go?
Your last play for Auburn was another turn over. That is how you will be remembered.
As the choke king.
Buh-bye
