Brought a PAX mini and having a few issues;

brought my first ever vaporiser today and i’m having some issues;

  1. it gets hot REALLY QUICK. like scorching hot within a minute

  2. no visable vapour at all. i’ll do long drags and nothing, i’ll do short sips - nothing. i can’t even taste the weed either

i’ve packed it properly and it’s fully charged, so im not sure if I’m missing something or…

How often are we changing our sploofy filters?

I'm using a sploofy in an effort to keep the smell down but I also haven't been able to smell bud for a few years lol so I feel like I won't be able to "tell" when it's time. I vaporize 4-6 times a day with it for reference.

Questions from a beginner

Hi there! Brand new to dry herb vaporisers and just ordered myself an XMAX V3 Nano. I just have some questions about DHVs more generally. I should preface I'm not the most frequent smoker, 2-3 times a week I'll smoke up, and my tolerance is on the floor (4-5 puffs off a pure joint of ~20% THC is my optimal high level)

First question, how often should I clean it? With my current usage of 2-3 times a week, I'm thinking every 2 weeks, but it doesn't quite sound frequent enough.

Tangential to that, what about dosing capsules? I hear they're controversial in that some people love them and others really hate them. The main talked about upside with them is that they cut down on cleaning, but I'm not sure if that would be worth it considering how comparatively infrequent my usage is to other folks.

And finally, how many tokes do you reckon it would take for me to get high, but remain functional? As you will recall, tolerance is rock bottom. And, I suppose connected to this, how many sessions do you reckon I can get out of one oven full?

Thanks for any help y'all can give!

HR Rogue - can I soak the O-ring in iso?

I’m talking about the rubber thing that holds the screen. Somehow I saw where you are just to wash it with soap and water but that doesn’t cut it. The O-ring has sticky terps on it and I really need to give it a good iso soak but I don’t want to ruin it.

Replace NO2 Vapir

After many years of loyal service, my NO2 vapir vaporizer died. I went to buy a new one, and discovered they no longer exist. I need to replace it but after over a decade of using the same thing I'm lost. Does anyone know something that is similar? (Change is not my favorite!)

Tempest issue with torch

Hello, i have alot of butane vaporizers. And was waiting for Almost a year to get the tempest.

But it have alot of problems with it. I use it arround 8-10times a Day and the consistency is Just not there.

I tried Almost Every torch i have. And currenly using a triple torch. But with Every heat up from cold it the avb is darkbrown still green at the Bottom or charred, dark avb.

I have the setting on full open airflow. I aim my torch between the lines and wait for second click. If i heat till first click it doesn't really makes a difference. I tried 1flame above the ring, 2under. And the other way and also the 3flames diagonal.

I take slow long Pulls and played arround with different breating methods

Nothing helps. Do i really need an IH to make the Bud tasty or Just put it away

With my dyna and bfg its Just heat till click and done.

Custom Stems by Yours Truly

Left piece is 62mm long, Bubinga wood carved into an octagonal prism with an air hole. Helix tip at half-bowl setting, coil cap, HyperDyn condenser. Love the look and feel and the wood barely gets warm after multiple bowls. This is hands down my favorite Dynavap setup. I’m eventually gonna replace the mouthpiece with a Woodwynd

The right stem is 45mm long, Black Walnut that I originally carved into an octagonal prism as well and then I followed up with the spiral design. This one does not have an air hole. Dani Fusion 2.0 tip and cap, 9mm-8mm adapter, standard titanium condenser with the dark wood spinning mouthpiece from dynavap and a titanium cooling unit from TRWW. It’s far from perfect but I really like how it turned out. I haven’t had a chance to use this particular setup because I went dankrupt while breaking in my Bubinga stem.

Looking for more recommendations

Hey everyone!

Several months ago I made a post about getting the dynavap and how the effects and flavor were great. Lots of cool people had came in and we had some wholesome interactions.

Since then, I've really enjoyed it and have moved on to getting a lookah that I've been using for hash but still have been using my dyna as well.

I'm not a huge consumer but I do enjoy a weekend vape and doing physical farm chores outside.

Here's my question, with what has came out this year, what is a good battery powered option I can get? I've searched and read people mention that getting one with a replaceable battery is ideal. There's just too many to choose from. Below I'll list exactly how I'm planning to use it.

1.) Something that I can add my homegrown or concentrates to. (Bubble Hash or rosin)

2.) Something I can load and take a hit or two from and still have it loaded and waiting for later.

3.) I want something simple, preferably smaller that I can keep in my pocket, and something that either has a case or any way to protect the mouthpiece from getting dirt or other debris in it.

Thanks everyone, I look forward to reading your recommendations.

Best screen for 14mm QC

What are you using and why?

I started with conical screen shipped with device, but it was clogging up fast and difficult to insert and remove.

Next was screenless. This was a non starter, anything but the stickiest of material would have crumbs everywhere.

For a while I used a couple 4mm quartz balls. It was really effective, they’d settle to either side of the dimple and greatly reduced the ability of material to pass without experiencing clogs. One criticism would be debowling. I sort of had a technique that worked, but every so often hot balls would end up in odd places and no matter which way you choose to read that it’s no bueno.

Then I remembered these jacks style glass screens. They didn’t cut it for me on the single-hole bowls they seemed to be designed for back in the day, but I found some at a local head shop and it seems to fit perfectly. I think we have a winner here folks. It’s just small enough to fit inside and slide down with a bit of juggling, while being big enough that it’ll kinda stay in place while debowling.

Tell us about your QC screen solutions!

Looking for Device Suggestions

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a pleasant and relaxing day!

I'm looking to get back into consuming flower. I did browse various "best of" lists for devices, and I quickly perused content from the sidebar but I am utterly overwhelmed with selection paralysis. There's just so many devices on the market, and with my price range it would be way too pricey for irl trial/error. Would love suggestions for a device!

Originally I was about to just buy the Pax Plus and call it a day, as I have used a pax back in the day around 10 years ago and it was great! However, I found a few older posts from this sub that state for the a similar price much better devices can be acquired (but the comments always seem to fail to mention *what* device lol)

I will explain my situation/needs to help narrow down suggestions from the experienced users here:

Looking for a non-butane device. Price range probably $250 max (but willing to stretch a bit). Use case: solo, indoor use. Would be cool if it did dual purpose for herb/concentrate like the new Pax, but not a deal breaker if not.
Would love something that's not too complex to clean/something that doesn't retain a very strong odor. My indoor vaping situation is I'm trying to limit odors to an absolute minimum. I will most likely pair the exhaled vapor to a sploofy in hopes it eliminates to 99% no odor blown out.

Thank you for reading and for your suggestions! Excited to get back into THC consumption, I've been on a 3 month break and I know my first few sessions are going to be nothing short of spiritual lol.

Lobo dosing cap

Which way do you prefer to insert? 🤣

Right side up or upside down?

I’ve heard folks recommend upside down and I can’t determine any difference.

My friend who I introduced for vaping is looking for a heavy hitter in the 100-150 dollars range, please help with suggestions.

My friend has the mighty and enjoys it but uses carts when he wants something to hit harder. I want to suggest a dynavap for him and not sure which model to go to right now. I used to have the M and the Omni and the omni used to be much smoother. I don't want him to overspend so, Is the M a good starting point? Does the ti make a lot of difference when it comes to cooling? I don't want him to spend $70 then regret it, nor I want him to pay $150 and regret it.

I'm basically looking for a heavy hitter for him but I know that desktop vapes are out of the question for him, or anything that has a high chance of combustion, and I think the dynavap are the way to go but I'm open for suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

What's the best Vape to suit my needs and budget?

Hi all,

Apologies I know this question gets asked a lot but I feel like my needs may be different to a lot of others.

My girlfriend recently got prescribed for medical use, previously when we used recreationally we both smoked using skins however she wants to follow guidelines and start using a dry herb vape and I've not followed this space since MFLB and PAX where by far the best in the game.

Basically she doesnt need anything crazy her needs would be; Portable

Low maintenance minus occasionally easily cleaned

Little to no issues and easy to use

Durable as I expect her to drop it often since she can be clumsy lol

Discreet as to not draw attention

Relatively low budget (thinking minus £100 but could stretch somewhat depending on options)

I've been advised by a friend with similar needs that he chose the Zeus Arc S Hub and I've found it in sale for £140 currently, but other opinions would be great since I'm not familiar with what specs make a vape good, or what ones people typically recommend or stay away from now days.

Edit: Thanks for all of the suggestions I appreciate it. As it stands I'm currently looking into the Rogue SE (since Rogue 2 doesn't seem to be in the UK) as it seems to be highly recommended and tick most of the boxes.

Ball vape vs Quartz TEDs

I'm currently trying to reduce my intake to once a day in the evening but I'd like that sesh to pack a punch :D

I have an elev8r clone with rubies which I really like but am curious if a ball vape would hit harder or if it's just the convenience of it being electric.

Any thought or insight?

Thanks ents

Lotus owner, is buying a dyna M7 xl worth it?

A slightly VAS question but I have a lotus and so far totally loving it, im generally into butane vaporizers, I have vapman as well, so was considering trying a dyna for the first time. Eyeing the rosium m7 xl - seeing the lotus is such a great device, is the getting the m7 xl a step down, or could it add different advantages to the quiver? Obvious advantages is the click instead of watching the glass j-hook, less fragile and more portable etc..

Dry Herb Vape Session Question

This might be a really obvious question, but I can't seem to find answers within my limited Google research, so I figured I'd turn once again to the experts on reddit. My question:

During a dry herb vape session, the herb would be burning in-between hits, correct? If that's right, the I feel like I almost need to feel rushed to take as many tokes as I can before the herb is toasted. However, I hear that people are having 10-15 minute sessions with their portable vapes. Am I missing something? Does that mean you're just reloading a bunch, or I'm doing something wrong? (I understand there are dry herb vapes like the Volcano that work differently. I'm just referring to portable dry herb vapes like the one I use (the Venti).

My Argo just broke, choices for replacement

Well I could just buy another since I have 5 extra tubes. But I am wondering what I am missing with a different unit. Are all the devices in the $140 range about the same? What is gained when you go to the much more expensive models? I am pretty happy with the Argo nevertheless

Finding a Mighty+ Cooling Unit replacement in LA

I’m in a bit of a bind, I’m traveling in LA from NYC and before I left I decided to dismantle and clean the unit for those preem terpy favors.

Unfortunately my screen went down the drain, and I was apparently high enough to remember to put a new one in after walking 20 ft. Now I’m in LA without a working mighty+.

Any local chooms know of any shops that might sell a CU replacement?

Water attachment for POTV lobo

I love using a bong but I’ve never used it with my lobo, I have a water attachment for my lobo . But I haven’t really seen a reason to bring my bong inside and use with my lobo , it’s stinky and yeah I’d rather get a different water piece for the lobo . But like what reason would I want to ? I feel like when I combust cannabis with a bong it just hits better and I love watching the smoke fill up the bell . Also does anyone believe that the water from the bong would make the hot lobo smoke pull harder and just better ?

I'm really liking this...

My table-top dry herb vaporizer that is... I do like to spark a joint or bong still, but they maybe make up 10% from this last year. I can not believe how little grass it takes to get baked! One well filled elbow pack and I'm real good for a good while.

In the mid-80s where I lived getting caught with even a joint was going to the station kinda shit, and it sucked when shit dried up and you REALLY did not waste a speck - Now I have so much green and can barely make a dent 'sipping' it slowly now!

Love the bright wonderful terpene flavors from the vape, it's handy, fun to do and I LOVE no stinky hands! I visited this sub before I got my vape, and appreciate those who helped get me on the DHV path. Well, time for another toke, as I twist on a Great Lakes "Commodore Perry IPA"; damn they go together great!
