Hey y'all - I'm brand new to the concentrates game, and I bought an ooze boost pen, at the recommendation of the dispensary. It immediately chipped, so they refunded me but let me keep the pen (which still works). Well, the floor of one of the atomizers just crumbled (which, idk how... But I'm betting it was something I did), and I only have one left.
Anyway, I love hitting the bong with my pen, but I also love the portability. Someone else recommended the Aeris Focus V?
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm trying not to spend $200 cuz I'm still so new to dab pens, and weed in general, but if more people recommend the same one, I'd be more willing to pour money into it.
Title. I'm buying my first portable concentrates device. I want something that fits in my pocket and can be operated with one hand. I'm not averse to the "buy once, cry once" philosophy but I won't use this thing super often and don't want to spend more for no reason.
Looking for portability without Q-tips
I find all the portable solutions to not be so portable…
I have divine tribe v5, however packing and q tipping after each hit is
socially odd / crackhead looking
impossible to do while hiking or standing outside a bar
the thing hits too hard for public, i always end up coughing
I love c4rts but even ceramic c4rts have chinesium alloy hardware that contacts the oil/cotton wick so theyre definitely toxic.
I loved the idea of the boundless terp pen until I saw a pic on here that showed its held together by glue…. Glue that is in the airpath (big yikes)
I like the idea of something like the yocan cubex that you can load a bunch into and hit throughout the day, however I dont trust the cheap hardware to also not have something toxic off gassing inside / the coil itself off gassing.
Im attracted to the huni badger for my needs, but it is also a little high key as well as large.
What do you guys think? I wish someone would just develop ceramic c4rts that dont leak and clog and that dont have any metal in the airpath.
I "upgraded" to a Puffco Plus and was very let down by the experience so I'm in the market for a new pen.
I keep hearing good things about their new Pivot pen (in their own sub of course) but haven't seen much discussion here.
I'm also open to any suggestions along these lines (also considering Lookah & Yocan).
I have the pivot and looking for a case to hold dabs upright with the device itself. Almost every single case I've seen has the device horizontal and the dabs facing perpendicular. I've seen someone post their 3D printed design but I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions
Hey guys, I’ve been a long time-user of the v3 with some thoughts on my new v4. For those considering the upgrade or looking at the V4 as their first wax pen, here's my experience.
The TL;DR:
What's Actually Better? The V4 takes what made the V3 good and cranks it up a notch. The hits are noticeably better - you get that dab rig feeling but with more consistency than the V3 ever managed. Battery life is a huge improvement, which means less charging and more seshing.
Hit Quality & Performance Like its predecessor, this isn't really meant for micro-dosing. The V4 shines when you're looking to take substantial hits. Load it up with shatter, and you're getting powerful, satisfying rips that'll leave you properly medicated. The V3 was good, but the V4's vapor production and quality are definitely a step up.
Who's This For? If you're coming from the V3 and enjoy its style but want better performance, the upgrade is worth it. For new users - if you like taking bigger hits and want something that can handle various concentrates (shatter, wax, live resin) without getting too gunky, this is a solid choice.
Here's a detailed breakdown comparing both devices. Not a sponsored review - bought with my own money.
Battery Life & Charging:
Temperature Settings:
Chamber & Coils:
Performance Differences:
Pros:
V4 heats up in 3-4 seconds vs V3's 5-6 seconds
Better airflow control with redesigned top cap
Less reclaim buildup in the bottom chamber
Bigger hits at max voltage
Cons:
Still gets hot after 2-3 consecutive hits
Mouthpiece can get uncomfortably warm
Price increased to $119.99 (V3 was $99.99)
No significant improvement in flavor preservation
Real World Usage:
Not Worth Upgrading If:
Worth The Upgrade If:
Price/Value Analysis:
Coming from someone who used the V3 daily for 8 months before upgrading, the V4 is a modest improvement but not revolutionary.
Final Thoughts The V4 isn't just a minor iteration - it's a meaningful upgrade that addresses the V3's weak points while building on its strengths. The improved battery life alone makes it more reliable for daily use, and the enhanced hit quality really seals the deal.
My dispo wasnt hitting, so i pulled off the bottom where the plug goes when you charge it, and i ripped the wires while pulling it. The wires are supposed to connect to a green circuit board with a v+ and a v- symbol. There is a black wire and a white wire. My only tools are a lighter, no solder, no solder, no soldering iron, and no knowledge of how electronics work. Someone please help me im gonna post this on every sub i can think of
I load it up pre fire then go to take my toke and then I get wax in my mouth I have to spit out almost every time. Any suggestions or help?
Anyone help?
Why does my Yocan xxx taste bad? I even bought ceramic donuts and they are not much better. puffco plus tastes much better.
not sure were I can buy dtv5 in the US since ineedhemp has been out of stock. Any suggestions or should I be waiting for a restock (if ever it comes)?
I recently bought a Yocan Orbit and the crystal bucket is slightly crooked, enough so that the opening does not fully align with the "vortex" thing at the bottom of the mouthpiece. Is this something that will impact the operation? I sent a message via Yocan's website to see if they have a solution.
Here is a pic of the cup/bucket. Not a great angle, but you can see the misalignment
Even on full blast, this thing can’t even heat up the oil fast enough to get any sort of hit. It’s made of a tiny metal coil sitting inside a ceramic housing. Any vaporization that happens is between the oil and the cheap metal. The ceramic absolutely does not heat up enough to vaporize anything.
I would highly recommending steering clear of this device and perhaps spending a bit more on something else. I feel like i’ve been scammed because it was $50 including shipping, and of course they don’t refund something you’ve used and experienced how poorly it works.
If anyone has any tips on getting this thing to actually give me a hit, that would be appreciated. Maybe the quartz tips work much better, but i’m not about to give them more money just to make it work the way it should already.
I’m so over buying new ones. I was loving the seahorse pro plus, I thought it was the best in the market that I’ve tried. But now the tube of my coil is full of goo and my hits taste weird. This coil is only a week old. And burning it out isn’t helping. The coil itself is fine but it’s just the trapped shit in the coil’s tube (not the big mouthpiece tube) M
Does this coil need to be trashed? https://imgur.com/a/mjFM86k
My Wax coils have turned from Clear to black. Is it time to switch or should I clean with Alcohol? I’ve had them on for about 9 weeks
I bought an Arc vape yesterday from a dispo. Maybe I shouldn't have. There is almost zero info about them online. I cannot get the thing to turn on. First, I put the whole thing together and then tried to charge it. Seems like that might've been a mistake. It flashed through colors but never charged it seems as it still wouldn't turn on. Well I took the top pieces off the battery and it now shows a red light when I plug it in. Figured okay, it's charging now. I left it all night and pulled it off the charge just now, still showing a red light but it's been hours, and it still won't turn on. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or did I just buy a paperweight?
I just receieved mine and I tried both attachments. sad to say that it took a good amount of wax to get me any smoke. Does that change over time? Just curious cus i'm not a wealthy person and wow it just ate up my wax and gave me like 3 hits.
Title, basically. I just got back from the shop and the dude told me I can put dry herb in there but then I found the lil dab spatula and now I'm confused. Any potential damages I may be incurring by using dry herb in this thing?
Some dabbing devices I've picked up over the last 4-5 years. Started with a wax pen, but when I learned of the limitations from a pen I switched over to box mods and havent looked back.
All of these electronic devices have the same 3 components:

I have an Apx Volt 2 and it doesn't seem to take a charge. I was thinking of replacing the battery.
Anyone know which kind would work in it?
Thanks a ton
Bro literally just puts concentrate on an empty coil in a regular RDA vape mod set up, the vape itself is newer and fairly high end with all the controls, what’s a good 510 threaded concentrate burner he can regular order replacement ceramic for?
Internet says the coil is not connected but I've made sure everything is as connected as I can get it I don't understand what to do
I am very new to dabbing and I am looking to get a wax pen for low temp dabbing, I’d prefer to save flavor than have high temps. I am torn between the puffco plus or the yocan regen. It seems everywhere I look people say that they are great or that they are awful. So I really can’t get a clear answer on what I should get.
I’m not looking to spend any more than the puffco plus but if there are other options let me know.
Additionally, which yocan ceramic coils fit the regen?
Hey guys I have a website that I order from and i just ordered 1g of some dabs that claim to be 99% THCA. I only have a 510 battery that i use and don’t have 200 bucks to spend on an eRig and since im in a college dorm i can’t go glass with a blowtorch lol. So i was curious if buying those 20 dollar 510 atomizer wax tanks are worth. I found one on everything420 for 15 called wulf tank and i saw someone using it and looked good on youtube. Just curious if anyone here as experience with these attachments and if they are significantly worse than rigs or close enough. Just want to know if i wasted 15 bucks on it.
Hello everyone,
I’ve read good things about the Utilian 5 here, but can I keep it in my pocket without leaks?
Was hoping to find a device that I could load up and not worry about leaks after / between uses.
Was taking the compartment with the coil off of the device to clean it with alcohol, and the little tiny metal insert that goes into a little silicone seal at the bottom of the piece fell out. I found it, and put it back in, but I was worried that the 💫unattached wires💫 weren't in the same spot that they were supposed to be, and when I put the coil/compartment back on ot the device all it does is blink when I press the button. Is there a fix to this? Is my device just dead and should work after charging? (It's currently charging) Or do I need to find a new quad coil attachment and buy it?
