First Time Tincture Maker... Help!

Please bare with me before coming for me.šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«šŸ«£

So I made batches of homemade tincture via the freezer method. I have a few questions.. what do I do with the discarded flower? And when does the alcohol stop being soo strong? It stings a bit.. especially when you're trying to leave it under your tongue for 30 seconds.

First time gummies - Tips?

Hey!

This is the first time I've attempted making cannabis oil and make gummies, I think the oil may have separated and my measurements were all over the place.

Can anyone recommend a decent gummy recipe please, and is it easier to just melt down jelly sweets for future?

Question about safety of brand bought

Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit but was looking for some guidance.

I bought hhc edibles from thedopestshop and just got them today. I did some research after the fact and it turns out they arenā€™t exactly a reputable vendor, does anyone know anything about this brand?

Trees In India

India is home to a rich variety of flora due to its diverse geographical landscape. It is home to a wide variety of trees, each with its own unique characteristics and importance. Let's look at some of the common trees found in India .

India, a land of vibrant culture and diverse landscapes, is also home to a remarkable variety of trees. From the towering Himalayas to the tropical beaches, these trees provide not just beauty, but also cultural significance, economic resources, and vital ecological functions. Here's a glimpse into some of the fascinating trees that grace the Indian subcontinent:

  • The Banyan Tree (Ficus bengalensis):Ā This majestic tree is truly a marvel. Its branches grow downwards, forming aerial roots that take root in the ground, creating a network of supportive pillars and extending the tree's canopy. The banyan can provide vast shade and habitat for numerous animals, earning it the name "Kalpavriksha" or "wish-fulfilling tree" in Indian mythology.
  • The Mango Tree (Mangifera indica):Ā The national fruit of India, the mango tree is deeply woven into the country's culture and cuisine. Soaring tall with lush green foliage, it produces sweet, succulent fruits enjoyed throughout the year. Mango trees hold significance in religious ceremonies and are a source of livelihood for many farmers.
  • The Neem Tree (Azadirachta indica):Ā Considered a sacred tree in India, the neem is revered for its medicinal properties. Every part of the neem tree, from its leaves to its bark, has been used in traditional Indian medicine for centuries. Neem oil is a natural pesticide and germicide, and the tree itself helps purify the air.
  • The Sal Tree (Shorea robusta):Ā A towering deciduous tree found in the forests of central and eastern India, the sal is a source of valuable timber. Its strong, durable wood is used for furniture, construction, and shipbuilding. The sal tree also plays a vital role in maintaining soil health and preventing erosion.
  • The Indian Sandalwood Tree (Santalum album):Ā Prized for its fragrant heartwood, the Indian sandalwood tree is a source of essential oil used in perfumes, cosmetics, and religious ceremonies. These slow-growing trees are protected due to over-exploitation in the past.
  • The Cluster Fig Tree (Ficus racemosa):Ā Also known as theĀ gular ka ped in english, the cluster fig tree is a fast-growing species with large, rough leaves. It's a common sight in India and can grow quite large and gnarled with age. Interestingly, the figs of this tree grow directly on the trunk and larger branches, a phenomenon known as cauliflory.

The ā€œstandardā€ 10 grams that goes into each batch of my gummies

I make two colors/flavors at a time, so 20 grams per run. Normally I use super clean translucent RSO but went with a blend of distillate & live resin.

Caramel Toffey Popcorn

Today I recently made some homemade Caramel Toffey Popcorn and it is yummy. I have been struggling with making homemade edibles as of late because I am taking mounjaro and it has excellent control of my blood glucose. Which often makes it difficult for me to make edibles. Hoping that this Popcorn is hard hitting. šŸ¤žšŸ¾šŸ¤žšŸ¾

Is it possible too create nano emulsions in a vacuum blender

For clarification, I've recently begun learning about nanoemulsions and the associated science and techniques. While exploring, I stumbled upon a video demonstrating the creation of a stable emulsion using only water, oil, and a vacuum blender. I'm curious if anyone has attempted this or has insights into its potential effectiveness.

Butter or oil to reduce that grassy smell/taste?

Hi community! Amateur cannabis cooker here looking for advice!

My Purple Haze Auto's harvest had to be dried and jared rather quick due to travel plans I couldn't postpone and the result is a little of that chlorophylly smell we all hate. I figured this would be my experimental batch to give cooking a try. To reduce that hay like smell/taste would you recommend turning this into a butter, ghee, oil, or other??? Thanks in advance for your help!

Salvaging tincture

Hello I believe I recently made a mistake in trying to create an alcohol tincture and would like to seek some advice if it can be saved.

I usually make edibles out of oil but thought I would try an alcohol infusion this time. But I had probably eaten too much oil because I fucked up this cook

First, I forgot to decarb the weed and dumped about 3.5g into a mason jar with approx 230ml vodka. Then I set it in the sous vide for about 2 hours at 80c. I have not tried it yet but I have put it in the freezer where it has remained liquid. I am worried that I have boiled off the alcohol at 80c and thus created a nice jar of chlorophyll juice.

Basically I would like to ask what I should do to save this stoned attempt at infusion. Should I strain the weed out to dry and then properly decarb it and then reinfuse in the same mixture?

Thanks

Taking edibles on a empty stomach than eating a meal right after effects me strongly

I used to eat first than take the edibles, but I find eating AFTER works way harder for me. Your body need fats so never take edibles on a empty stomach.

Anyone relate to my method of taking edibles?

Is shaking Green Dragon everyday really necessary?

I'm not saying it isn't necessary, I'm Just wondering about the science of it. It seems that if weed is steeping completely covered in Everclear for a month whatever is going to be extracted into the alcohol will be extracted with or without shaking. Of course it's not so great of an effort to shake it everyday -- I'm just wondering if someone has ever made it without shaking it and found it was the same.

Ate a bunch of edibles today after not feeling it yesterday, and only got vertigo and shivery

This is my first time trying cannabis ever, not only edibles. I made some cannabutter from hash two days ago and took what I calculated as 8 mg of THC. This I did dispersed at times 6-10 pm. Didnt feel anything. When I was in bed at 2am I started feeling giggly but ended up sleeping from it so didnt really feel it. The very next morning at 9 o'clock I down 16mg of THC, dont feel anything and after 11 am I downed another 16mg, then an hour later 4 mg, then another 4mg. All in all I downed 40mg of THC. I barely felt good until I got vertigo and shaky, as if I had very low blood sugar. Almist puked. This may be explained by me not eating from 10 AM to 6 pm. The cannabis made me too nauseous to eat. I ended up sleeping it through for 2 hrs and now that I woke up I'm just a little giggly and heavy, however not far from sober.

I didnt really get to experience the high for some reason. I got vertigo and shakyness too fast and that was all I really felt. Was it because I didnt eat or was it because I took too much. I did not feel very anxious nor did I feel paranoid, just dizzy and nauseous.
