Hello, I've been trying to use remote play for a while ,I tried everything from directly connecting to ps4 or connecting normally to using a phone hotspot and I everytime it gets to the "show toolbar" with a black screen before telling me "connection has been lost" Is it working for anyone and have you tried to fix this?
Hey everyone! I just got a used vita on eBay and would like to pay someone to open it up, repaste what needs to be done, and just overall deep cleaned.
I live in the San Fernando valley and don’t mind driving to drop it off somewhere as long as it’s in good hands.
Would love recommendations! Thank you all
Basically, it’s my last connection to my childhood. I had to sell off all my other childhood consoles in 2022 when my mom passed away unexpectedly and my dad and I had to sell my childhood home that she was still living in. My (bricked) PS2, PS3, PSP GO, Wii, as well as a Nintendo 64 and SNES I inherited from my uncle, all gone. Only my Vita remains in my possession now, alongside my PS5 which I got myself.
I got my Vita as a birthday gift in 2012. I’d been desperately wanting one for the past year, and finally in September, they got me this one. Let me tell you, I LOVED this thing, and still do. Even after I got a PS4, I still would use my Vita quite regularly. My fondest memory was taking it with me on a trip to China in the summer of 2016 with my dad. It was my only way to stay connected to my online friends on PS4 back then, and it was invaluable to me because of it.
Back then, I only had the money for a few games: PS All-Stars, NFS Most Wanted, Killzone Mercenary, Minecraft, and the Jak collection. Though I also had Uncharted and Wipeout via PS Plus. I didn't really start to expand my library until I became an adult with big boy money in the last couple years lol. Plus it was great for PS4 Remote Play in bed when I wanted to keep playing on there but couldn’t do it on the big tv in the living room at night.
Besides gaming, it was my go-to web browser and YouTube device before I started regularly using smartphones around 2014-15.
The Vita saw me through the formative years of being a teenager and young adult; and honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you for reading my little rant lol.
Which Vita games are still available to play online, and the servers are still up? Want to play some games on my Vita after a long time.
Does anyone know (and possibily link or send me a DM) where to find and buy some reliable and good replacement batteries and front screen for the 1000 series? I know I can find them on Aliexpress or Ebay, but I always doubt if a product is fine or not, and reviews could be bot-generated so....
I bought a PS vita from the net. Bought a charger for it, left it to charge for a while wouldn't turn on. The orange light would flash then slowly go back to being solid. Someone told me to plug it into a portable phone charger did that overnight now when I plug it in, the orange light stays on for a while then shuts off. Idk what to do now.
Wasn’t sure if question or discussion fit better as a flair
Like the title says, just wanna know if the server is still up. I don’t wanna be stuck with an incomplete trophy list (I hate how much of a perfectionist I am)
Always wanted one of these as a kid when they were released so really excited to finally get my hands on one!
What are some games that are either exclusive to Vita, or best experienced on Vita? I have already ordered:
- Uncharted Golden Abyss
- Lumines: Electronic Symphony
- Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
I really like the look of Dissidia, but i'm not sure it's actually possible for me to get in the UK any more?
Thanks in advance, happy to join the Vita family :)
"Obtain IP" is successful, but "Internet connection" comes up as failed. I googled a solution, and someone on this subreddit 11 years ago said to try 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS numbers, but when I try that it says "A DNS server cannot be used". Any ideas?
For me, probably adjust the brightness so we could make it even darker at its lowest setting so playing in the dark wouldn’t burn my eyes lol.
That and probably have the main menu music we have selected play when we’re in the trophies app. Also mix and match music with different themes.
as you can read in the title i have lost my original charger. Is there any way to charge it without the original one or am i forced to buy a new one? (Sorry if this is a stupid question i am desperate)
Hello /r/Vita and welcome to game night's new format! Every other Monday is now a night dedicated to one of our console's favorite online games - Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed! No fun alliteration for this one, because we're not creative enough! :]

Title says it all for the most part, I have a 2nd hand copy of the legacy collection for MGS on ps3 and I was wondering if buying vr missions on ps vita will also give me the ps3 version
Just what title says. Is there any maintenance steps to do after swapping the battery ? Some calibration or something else ?
Just recently charged it up, when I turn it on I get a solid blue light on the PlayStation logo but a completely black screen. I looked up how to fix this however nothing is working. I tried entering recovery and safe mode however its never appears even after holding the buttons down for more than 30 seconds.
It’s unmodified and hasn’t been used in a couple years because of this issue. Any help would be great.
checked aliexpress, ebay etc and i only found ones for Slim model.

The announced closure (and subsequent cancellation) of the PS Store in 2021 is a distant memory now, and I find it fascinating that we can still browse and download on Vita, when storefronts for other more recent and/or more successful consoles have shut down.
The question is, how much longer do we have? And why is it still open? I see three possible scenarios:
(As for me personally, I saw a post recommending PixelJunk Monsters, so I'm about to make a purchase...)
My vita is like lock but on the home screen i can still open it but when it opens i cant press anything and when i press the PlayStation button a prohibition symbol appears on the top left
I wanna play a LBP vita private server but my ps vita just won’t mod for some reason so is there a private server you can join with no mods?
My analog stick has a insane drift and from my country I cannot found a analog that fits in my game, and buy it is too expensive for me, someone can help me for how can i fix this or just amenize the drift
I really think if the Vita got its own exclusive God of War, Monster Hunter, and GTA titles, that would’ve helped sell consoles a LOT.
These black spots only appear when it’s a black screen(turned on), what causes this? And is it fixable?
I want to add FFX2 to my physical Vita collection but I'm not really sure how to go about fulfilling my goal. I'm in the UK and have a UK, PAL Vita2000. I have seen a few posts that mention Playasia selling copies R3 Asia copies that are compatible. I want English language and Trophy support. The parts I'm unsure about is can I save the game. A few people mentioned in other posts that saves are region locked. Then others have said the Vita's are region free. Others have said the consoles are region free but the PSN accounts aren't compatible with different regions, including trophy support. Also didn't see any prices on Playasia. Is that because I don't have account or because they no longer have it in stock. Thanks for reading 🙂
Has anyone ever tried using a bt keyboard on a ps vita? Which one did you try? I'm going to buy one but don't know if its going to be compatible or not. Thank you!
