A community dedicated to the OUYA console.
OUYA is an open, inexpensive game console that brings gamers and developers together in front of the TV.

On the wiki page for postmarketOS it has a tutorial but for some things it just says "install this tool" and I don't know how to., especially because some of the links are dead. Does anyone have a full in-depth tutorial on how to do this?
Hay,
it seems, that Meltdown still connects to the online-servers.
Unfortunately, the OUYA-Version is 1.6 and the PC-version 1.7.
Does anyone knows, if it still works to play online for 2 OUYA-Players?
Thanks in Advance

I literally have no idea anything about the Ouya. I was on ebay sad bidding (got some irrelevant shitty health news) and saw one for 25 bucks, and won an auction.
What can one even do with this in 2024? Is it just going to be relegated to a cool desk prop? I mean I have a few of those so like whatever (also bought a still sealed Google Stadia).
I was thinking maybe it'd be possible to install an OS on this as it seems like it has good enough specs to run a super lightweight linux distro. Anyone know if there's a jailbreak for it?
I was thinking of getting an Ouya, and I know how much the original controller sucks. I was looking for third party controllers and then I came across this switch controller that look quite bit like the Ouya controller. I’m thinking of getting this but will it work on the Ouya?
I saw a working Ouya on Ebay for about 40 bucks and I heard it's great for emulation. Pair it with a Playstation or Xbox controller and emulate on my TV maybe?
My budget is on the low side but the ultimate goal is to do some emulation and be able to play it on my TV.
I just noticed that Amazing Frog was on Google Play. Not for Android TV, but my kid was excited he could play on his Chromebook.
Soo i was checking some development of this indie game when i found this Their was ouya port planed Only thing theirs left is this sprite work to show it was gonna happen
If i could imagine clickteam fusion probably didnt work well on ARM Devices so they scrapped it to be on PCs on launch

I want one
I don't know if OUYA is still alive. I have one collecting dust.
I know it ran on Android, so is there any support for Steam Link where I can just stream my games from my PC to my TV and use an OUYA controller or wired xbox controller?
Hey guys,
I've tried using my (4) ouya controllers on PC, but something seems wrong, probably with the analog sticks, games seem to register the ouya camera view as constantly spinning.
Did anyone have this problem and managed to fix it somehow?
I kinda want one but i think it would kinda weird to get one since the servers are off and such like is it hard to get the fan servers on it just kinda wondering
I still have my Kickstarter edition Ouya and 2 controllers, which has survived several moves over the years, but is unlikely to remain in the keep pile for an upcoming out of state move. I've been indecisive about what to do with it, since I feel bad ewasting something unique like this, and am not sure donating it is likely to help it find someone who understands what it is. Would anyone here be interested in it?
I'm in the greater Boston, MA area, if anyone is localish, or I'm happy to ship it if you cover the cost of shipping. I just booted it up and it still runs fine. Happy to provide more proof in direct messages.
It's a unique piece of hardware, I would love to see it find a use and avoid a landfill, if possible. Recently saw that you can connect it to community servers, which is awesome, but at this point, I don't see myself using it that much if I did.
Thanks.
Edit: On the way to a new home, appreciate the upvotes to help visibility.
The OUYA just had the on/off button. Is possible to add the volume +/- buttons as they are in any Android phone, maybe by wiring some board track?
Is there an updated tutorial on how to get the Ouya working again? I tried putting the config file I read a while back into the system but never got it to work properly.
Wondering if there’s a new update to bypassing the Ouya ‘connected’ glitch.
Has anyone tried configuring the Ouya controller on the Blueretro? Any tips? I've been trying to make it work on the Dreamcast but I'm not succeeding. Thanks!
I know it is very absurd that this could happen to Ouya exclusives (Towerfall did get a sequel but it did get a port a bit later) but what if the theoretical Ouya 2 came out and you could get a sequel to a game. What game would it be?
I managed to manually change the values in the ouya ver with dnspyex so that the game thinks you've purchased the toilet pass

This works fully on my Huawei P30 pro, and splitscreen somehow functions, although I can't seem to get a PS4 controller to work. The only noticable bug is that the trail that appears when you fall from the sky is broken, but I don't know if thats just the game or if I caused it (sorry)
EDIT: got my ps4 controller working after reconnecting, if it stops working again I'll see if i can update the inputs in the games files.
It seems to be lost media or nobody archived it

So I was following a tutorial on YouTube on some sort of bypass and for some reason I can’t get the command prompt to recognize one command (“cp” which from what I looked up is a copy command). Does anybody know why it won’t recognize it despite following the instructions?
This is the video that I am following https://youtu.be/dzY4z2qO3mY?si=ZDlt26fIXjbwzmrf
Hello everyone, I've been thinking for about a month now on buying an OUYA a friend of mine is selling to enjoy on it the releases it had of two of my favorite games, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and Oddworld: Munch's Oddyssey. I'm a big fan of this series and I like playing their titles in every console or device I can. I'm also interested in checking out how's this console homebrew world looks like. So, knowing what I want to do with this console you think it's a good idea? Is it hard to install apps and games on it having its official servers discontinued?
I recently got an OUYA, and in a rush to set it up I didn't put the battery in the controller with the strap and now it is stuck, and then realized that the rechargeable batteries I was using are dead.
How would i go about getting it out?
Thanks in advance
I'm a software developer and I have an old OUYA gathering dust. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with converting it into a more general-purpose machine and if it's something they'd recommend. I was thinking it would be cool to put Node on it and run custom applications for my home network.
Hey all! We were huge fans of No Brakes Valet when it was on the Ouya - but I sold mine years ago when we moved.
I was excited to pick up the Android version a while back but it didn't have gamepad compatibility (touch screen only!) and I gave up on it. HOWEVER, the WINDOWS version supports gamepads without any issues. I don't want to put a pc in the living room unless I have to...
Is there any way to get the Ouya version of that game (assuming it has gamepad support)? I'd love to put it on an android tv device and play it with my family again :)
Thanks in advance!
