This groundbreaking work tells the gripping story of Abellamae, a young enslaved girl whose extraordinary gift of song becomes her strength, her salvation, and her beacon of hope for liberation. Through melodic storytelling and an emotional narrative, *Abella* sheds light on the resilience of the human spirit amidst the darkest of times.

Hi all. My team is putting together a free event next month for NBA All-Star weekend, and wanted to share it and invite you all to it! We’re teaming up with a couple of local organizations to make it happen. There's gonna be a few former Golden State Warriors involved, we'll have an athlete investor panel & then a celebrity game. Here's the link to get the tickets!
The Almaden Cycle Touring Club (ACTC) invites you to celebrate Spring on Saturday, May 3, 2025 by riding some of the prettiest roads in southern Santa Clara County on our 46th annual Tierra Bella. Go to Tierrabella.org to register today!
Two events - one great day!
All routes start and end at Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy CA.Register today and receive an early bird discount!
Registration for each ride is capped to limit the number of riders on the road and at rest stops, so don’t get left behind.
Whether you choose the challenge of a longer ride with beautiful climbs, or venture out for some fun and fitness on a pretty shorter, flatter route, you’ll be well supported. Over 200 ACTC volunteers will ensure your safety at intersections, provide SAG assistance, and be at multiple rest stops to offer great food, replenish liquids, and repair mechanical issues. Enjoy a hot beverage and nut breads before the ride and join in the finish line celebration with food trucks, beverages, fruit bars, and music (vouchers for food trucks must be pre-purchased).
When you register, you can choose to purchase a 2025 Tierra Bella Cycling Jersey separately or a cool looking T-Shirt.
In addition to the May 3rd festivities, your registration includes a free introductory ACTC membership through May 31, 2025 (or an extension for current club members). Club members have access to a wide variety of daily group rides for all skill levels, including conditioning rides to get you ready for the Tierra Bella (see the ACTC website, actc.org, for ride listings).
To register or for more information, go to tierrabella.org.Join us on Facebook for updates.Track and compare your training progress on our Strava club.
Welcome to the Gender Adventurers!
We have a new name and a new schedule, but we are bringing you the same brave joy to counter dysphoria. In increasingly hostile times, banding together is more powerful and healing than ever!
Why are we changing our name? It is hard to call ourselves "The Crossdressing Club" when a third of us transition or no longer identify with the gender binary!
This is our second name change in 13 years of monthly gatherings. We began as "Sissy Night" before that term grew to have such sexually-specific connotations. Back then, it was more like we were reclaiming a slur than declaring a fetish. After 8 years, the meaning of that word drifted and we became "The Crossdressing Club" to make it clear that we didn't require anyone to be "full time" or medically transitioning. Now that name feels limiting.
There is so much pressure demanding that we "conform" to gendered expectations! Instead of cutting our community into smaller and smaller pieces, let's allow our club to grow in spectrum and variety well beyond our original names.
We want to create the most welcoming space possible for everyone exploring their gender, encouraging you to get expressive and experimental, not focused on "passing" or medical procedures. Some of us may change genders with surgery, courts and paperwork. Some of us change genders multiple times a night, completely unsanctioned. Artists are still inventing new words, new movements and new colors to describe our untamed beauty, which transcends boundaries and defies labels.
These are strange times. Mistress Alice believes we must meet them with equal strangeness. Do not obey in advance by censoring or editing yourself. Protect your precious uniqueness, cultivate and celebrate it with us.
Please welcome our new name with all the love that we would show your new name, when you get brave enough to tell us.
