just wondering how the ID checks are. is it one line or multiple? do they scan or not? asking for my friend who uses my ID and we're both planning on coming here for an event:)
I've been trying to find just basic Chanukkah stuff (wrapping paper, gelt, candles, decor) that won't break the bank. I would love any suggestions you have. I do have a car, so can travel some, but would prefer someplace easy to get by BART or Muni. For search purposes, since transliteration was never standardized: hanuka hanukkah chanuka
Hey y'all,
I'm not sure what these little guys hanging off the powerlines are called; a capacitor maybe? The closest one in the video keeps randomly glowing amber (flashing?) with no discernable pattern. I hear no arcing. Also it's only the one doing it. The line is too low for it to be a visibility marker, and those are a single flash with a steady interval pattern.
Anyway, I can't tell if there's a problem with the line, if it's actually some kind of "status" light, or both. I tried Googling but I didn't get any useful results. Everything was too generic.
Is this a failing component that would be cause for concern? What is this thing called? They are obviously intended to be something purposefully added by PG&E techs. If I'm to call 311 or PG&E, it would be extremely useful to know what this is called. Lol.
Thanks!
Howdy people of San Francisco, I am currently working at a 5 star/ bougie spa as a massage therapist, but this company has had slow business for the 3 years I’ve been here. For everyone. Was wondering if anyone could point me in a better direction? I currently make $45hr 20% tips. This would be great, except it’s slow and no one else I work with has ever had a raise. I want to work somewhere that is decent, pays well, AND is busy. What’s the point of making good money if you can’t build a clientele…
Hello. My 23yo daughter is living in SF and has been looking for a barista job for the last month with no luck. She lives near SFState. She has no car and relies on public transit. She has 3+ years experience as a barista and 6 months experience with roasting coffee.
If you have any leads on barista or barista adjacent jobs I would appreciate any help you can provide.
What’s the deal ya’ll? I’m not inclined to even consider it human at this point. For at least a month every time I get on the train to go home from Embarcadero the fart smell is overwhelming. It doesn’t last more than a stop or two. Any ideas what’s going on?!
Looking for somewhere to read my book by a fireplace this weekend. Have seen all of the bar / restaurant options but was hoping for more of a cozy vibe. Maybe a cafe or a hotel lobby? I know wood burning fireplaces have been banned so maybe tricky, but any suggestions would be awesome!
Woke up to find my car window smashed in after street parking it overnight at Harrison and 2nd. Nothing of value was taken since I know better than leaving anything in the car, and that’s why it’s slightly more frustrating. Is this just a rite of passage at this point?
I will be traveling to San Francisco for one day exactly. I land at SFO at 7:30 am and leave at 10:30 pm. What are some things I should do in the city for relatively cheap? Budget of $100
Important caveat, made with real fresh roast turkey, NOT deli turkey (eg, Boar's Head). What we want is a place that fills the void left behind by Pluto's demise. RIP.
To further clarify: Must include real turkey, stuffing and/or mashed, gravy and cran. Other sides? Great. Sandwich and/or plate, and available to go, preferably. Affordable, as was Pluto's, certainly a plus, but looking for the good stuff.
NO: The Arguello Market turkey sando does not meet the reqs.
ALSO NO: Let's skip the recs for Tommy's Joynt. We all know about Tommy's Joynt. We're looking for other -- dare I say it better -- options.
Thank you.
OK, GO!
I rent in sunset, my sink became clogged on 11/22 and reported it to my landlord for maintenance. They have since sent two plumbers for pricing and are sending a third this week for quote. It has now been 12 days since my sink has been operable. What ground do I stand on for recuperation by the owner?
For real. I don’t know if it’s just me in my morning delirium, but I’m convinced I’ve see garbage and recycling get tossed into the same truck.
I’ve tried looking online and while I’ve seen that SF “diverts 80% of all material discarded in the city”, what the heck does that even mean? (source: https://www.sfenvironment.org/blog/san-francisco-sets-north-american-record-recycling-composting-80-percent-diversion-rate#:~:text=San%20Francisco%20diverts%2080%20percent,Greenest%20City%20in%20North%20America.)
Basically, is stuff really getting recycled? Or is it just that a lot of people engage in recycling?
Don’t get me wrong, it’s in a vibrant neighborhood (and I’m sure there’s still plenty of gems nearby, just found this amusing and also a bit sad :/ BTW, has anyone lived at this apartment(2175 market)? How was you experience?
I just got my Rolex Submariner this weekend and have been excited to wear it. I’m wondering for those who have nice watches do you feel comfortable wearing it around in public or do you only wear it on special occasions and not in public?
I bought insurance on it but still undecided about wearing it around town.
Really hoping to get a pack of Vampiro, it’s been so long since I’ve had one.
