Best recommendations?
Bay street in East Bay
Hello!
I'm looking for Portuguese Bilingual daycare for infants. Cities in the South Bay: Mountain View/Cupertino/Sunnyvale/Palo Alto/Menlo Park/Santa Clara/ Saratoga/Los Altos. Any recomendations / advise will be appreciated.
So my birthday is coming up and I really want to get a tattoo but I do not have a tattoo artist. I’ve been living in the bay for awhile and I just really want a tattoo. Any suggestions?
I just saw them on social media and it looks so good. Is it over hyped or worth a trip from the South Bay?
There is a big huge accident on 80 E. in the East Bay. Traffic is snarled everywhere, including on side streets.
I would say that if you have errands to run, give it a few hours.
Is there anywhere in the Peninsula / South Bay Area that have a lot of ginkgo trees? I’d like to do a photo shoot with the beautiful yellow leaves! Thanks in advance!
Hey guys!
Okay so i'll keep this short by saying, im a 20 yr-old college student in the bay area. And in the past, I've had to rely on using a shared Chase account that my parents arranged for me. But honestly, if I'm really aspiring to live more independently, I think it's high time that I open my own bank/checking account.
Currently, I'm unemployed. But in the event that I do become employed, I certainly would need a bank account to cash in all my checks. Ooh and I really do need an account to deposit all the personal cash I've been saving up too.
With all that said, & suppose considering everything I said above. I could really use some good credit union recs that are best suited for me, as I've heard they're the ones who offer the lowest rates / fees?
I should warn yall tho, my knowledge about credit unions & fees, is not my biggest strength. But from the research I have done so far, looks like i'll def need a checking account where I can easily deposit & retrieve money. Get provided a debit card that I can use anywhere for purchases. Hopefully has low monthly service fees (like i said, currently dont have a job).
Also honestly, any advice, any knowledge or directions from Bay Area folks here, who know a whole lot more than me, would be truly appreciated 🙏🏾.
Thank you!

I was wondering if there is any abandoned places in Palo Alto Menlo Park Mountain View Atherton or neighboring cities like RWC, EPA, or Los Altos/Sunnyvale
In half moon bay for the weekend. Are there any sports bars that show the English soccer games here?
Ho
Hey folks! Looking for some recommendations for good food journalism covering the bay area.
Bonus: Favorite restaurant(s) in the peninsula or south bay?
Hi, I’m currently living in SF but we are moving soon as we are expecting a baby girl in December and would love a bit more rooms. We are considering houses in either Walnut Creek or Tiburon (two houses in particular stood out to us).
One thing that could help us determine where to live is childcare at around 13-14 months- is it easy to find something maybe not more than ~$2500 a month in either of these cities? My sense is that Walnut Creek has more young families so it might be more difficult to find childcare out there but would love to hear thoughts from people living in either of those areas!
Don’t get me wrong, I have my spots here for some damn good carnitas, but it seems to be a version tamed down for the US. Generally shoulder or butt that’s braised and then refried on the plancha. It’s great and all but I’m looking for the kind that’s more of a confit of meat and offal and is super juicy and fatty. It’s a lot of work to make, which is why I suspect it’s hard to find. Pic for reference from a place I stopped by in LA.
For the Filipinos, it’s like eating sisig made with loin and chops vs the kind made with hog jowl.
We spotted a white dog who seemed scared and was running on orchard parkway. Didn't get a pic but if anyone is missing it hope this helps.
Hi all, I am looking to learn some self defense techniques - especially ones geared for women to use against taller, stronger aggressors. Does anyone know of reasonably priced group classes that meet this criteria? Palo Alto area would be ideal but honestly willing to travel anywhere in the bay.
Please help!
About six years ago on a trip to SF, San Jose and Santa Cruz, I ate at a vegan Chinese food restaurant somewhere near.... Palo Alto?? I think...
It was the best meal I've had in my nine vegan years but unfortunately I can't remember the name or exact location of the restaurant.
I've found a few possibilities but the place I think it may be, Garden Fresh, isn't in the neighborhood I thought. Could it have moved?
Any suggestions are appreciated. We're coming back in a couple weeks and it's on our to-do list!
Edit: thanks for jogging my memory. I did a Street View of the old Garden Fresh at 460 Ramona and that's the place. Thanks for the recommendations guys!
We will be flying into SFO and staying in Pacifica for a Niners game next weekend against the seachickens. Looking for good recommendations on an all you can eat seafood restaurant anywhere in the area!
Im 18 and my teeth have always had problems for years. The dentist my mom takes me to is western dental. They always have me jacked up. Like they always do a terrible job. I get fillings, the next week, they are breaking. Gave me a root canal, then my teeth been bursting with nerve pain for years. I cant do this anymore. I tried asking my mom to take us to another dentist but she doesn't get to it and I don't want to keep asking her about it. I dont really understand this whole Medi Cal thing but I just need to know, wheres a good medi cal dentistry over here that will get me right. I have cracked teeth, broken fillings, and I need another root canal. I ask that you do not judge me, I just want to get this fixed.
I'm doing a career research project in one of my high school classes. I chose to research marketing mangers. A required part of the projects research is to find someone in that occupation and interview them. So i'm trying to find anyone who is a marketing manager or in a similar position to interview. It would be just a few prewritten questions for you to write back on. So are any of you marketing managers or something similar. I think it would extra cool to interview someone local here from the bay for my project. If you are in this position please consider letting me interview you. I would appreciate it dearly.
We are family of 3, moving to SF Bay Area in Jan. Me working in Emeryville (1 day in office), wife working in Microsoft (5 days in office), kiddo in daycare. We both have to practice driving (used to the driving in other side). Assuming in a 2-3 weeks time, both will be able to drive to work if required. Where do you think will be an optimal area for housing and what are the recommended commute options?
Renting we are willing to go for max of 3k. I'm thinking of choosing close to my wife location - perhaps Milpitas or Fremont. Should we consider any other areas? Are there shuttles available for Microsoft Silicon Valley campus for her? What else should we be considering before moving to US. This will be first time for us in the United States. Quite nervous but excited about the opportunity especially for my kiddo to experience different culture.
Any suggestions/thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks folks!
