Its been years of this and you guys still don't get it.
The starting lineup that starts the season isn't the one that will be starting after the break
It's a marathon not a sprint
You have to manage egos as much as wins and losses. This means showing RESPECT.
You guys think Spo didn't know Rozier wasn't the answer before game 1 ? He started Rozier and Jovic out of RESPECT for Pat Riley who cashed in assets to get those guys. He did it out of RESPECT for Rozier who is a vet in this league, who has said all of the right things in the media and done everything asked. He started Jovic out of RESPECT for a kid that played through injury to represent his country and was injured from putting in the WORK to help the team win. Most of you don't have that same level of respect.
Spo KNOWS the 82 game season + playins and playoffs is too long for a 9 man rotation to make it all the way through. He has guys that will get us there and guys that will take us home.
Spo KNOWS that a rookie will hit the wall, or get injured, or get discouraged if he is advanced too quickly. He knows how to make them earn his RESPECT.
Spo KNOWS the real answers might be at the end of the bench or in the G-league or 2-ways come playoffs but he has a plan to bring them up to speed in MONTHS not YEARS and that doesn't involve throwing them in the deep end. And pissing off his vets by giving rookies minutes over them at in the FIRST 10-20 GAMES.
I thought you all would have learned by now.
the worst seasons it seems most of these fans have dealt with was maybe 14-15/18-19, but this team won 15 games in the middle of wades prime, yes that is a testament to consistency, however the days of middle of the pack regular seasons turning into deep playoff runs are obviously over with this core, there is nothing wrong with a quick rebuild by sending jimmy/terry etc off to get whatever we can and get a top 10 draft pick in what looks like a really good class (at least the top 8-10 picks) no reason to keep this current roster together just to finish 10 games below .500 and miss out on a high pick in this class, why people call that tanking I will never understand, if this core is kept together past this season the returns will be next to nothing especially if the play of our "trade pieces" continues to diminish, all this to say as we can absolutely deal with a rebuild year, we have been spoiled as fans, we can handle a down year if it entails future success.
Idk the dip in his game seems pretty mental to me. He’s more hesitant and timid on the court. He’s getting good looks like before but passing it up way more.
He doesn’t seem as aggressive while attacking the basket either

I saw a post about jimmy and I agree trade him he’s done a lot for us but he ain’t winning here we need to do a rebuild or a restructure get rid of him for picks trade rozier for giddey so we have a primary player who can dish out assists and let the core develop we then should be in a good spot in 3-4 years
So let's look if we keep Precious Achiuwa, I don't know he is the big next to Bam we require, but he probably helps. The lowry trade helped us for the 1 season but now, the big we drafted is gone and not replaced.
But also look at guys drafted after Precious Achiuwa... 20. Precious Achiuwa 21. Tyrese Maxey 25. Quickley 26. Pritchard 28. Mcdaniels 30. Desmond Bane
Now those guys don't help us be bigger. But maybe they allow us to trade for a big.
If we have maxey, herro, Jimmy bam can we package a bench deal for a starting calibre C?
If we got Bane does that mean we look bigger as a team 2 through 4 and the C position becomes less valuable, like our run in the bubble?
End of the day, that is really the gap that's missing. I think miami ultimately drafted a guy that probably fit with this group long term and we sold it.
I'm not including Antman, or Dame/Giannis cuz that's just unrealistic af. Those are all the realistic options tho.
So tonight was terrible. To be honest I think we’re cooked.
If we blow it up. Aka trade Jimmy at minimum, but maybe several pieces. Can you root for this team if it’s not pretending to a championship?
I definitely can root for a young team that is not ready and figuring it out. Even if it’s for years. I don’t mind rooting for a real underdog.
But to root this team is to root for a fake underdog and a fake contender at the same time. And it’s just not there. They’re just not good enough.
Can we talk about how overprotective the Heat front office, media persons and fans are of Bam. I remember when Herro struggled last season, every single one of them was ripping him too shreds and demanded he was traded. But for some reason everyone has a million excuses for why Bam can't make a layup. It's gotten so bad to the point where the broadcast is dead silent when Bam misses a shot. He's not a fucking toddler so stop treating him like one.
Jimmy is my guy and is my favorite player of all time. But you can tell we don’t have a plan this year and we can’t make a run. Jimmy should be traded to a contender and the rockets are the 2 seed in the west and tied for the 1 seed if I’m not wrong. I keep seeing videos and clips about how they have too much talent. They have too many good pieces and they won’t have enough money to pay everyone and can’t play everyone the minutes they deserve. I feel like we should send Jimmy over for maybe Amen Thompson and another piece if possible.
They have Fred Van Vleet, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith , Amen Thompson , Tari Eason , Alperen Sengun , Reed Sheppard ,
Plus Dillion Brooks
To me they have too much talent and I think it would help them if they got an Allstar level forward like Jimmy in exchange for two of their guys. Lmk what u guys think
Nobody doing absolutely a ffing thing, besides letting Boston shoot open 3s all night. Almost no defensive effort, and Bam was ultra soft tonight.
This was the game I thought we'd turn shit the f up, and that playoffs would come early just 1 for game but nope.
This was the least effort we gave all season, and it's sickening and we're now 20 games in with zero identity.
Sure yea, but what about the 4 blown leads we had? Our players just decide fuck it, we get a big lead and can't finish the game so why try?
Maybe for all of the fans sake, and for one last chance at a championship in the Jimmy Butler window man.
U look at Boston, they never brought more bums back. They dug deep and they used their developing players for the bench. They also sacrificed Smart(who's not to say we shouldn't sacrifice Jaime or Niko or both)
Still as hospital ring and didn't have to play anyone(but still, show us they're frauds Miami Heat) even without Jimmy, tonight should've been that night. You're gonna lose close, OK fine, u not gonna try tho and no effort is whack af lol.
Jaquez still refuses to shoot 3s, Niko went from Hero to Zero. Spo is now not playing him
This team would look near elite if we did that. I'm looking at Ware, Keshad Johnson, Josh Christopher.
Then 1 or 2 marginal moves.
Cuz if this is the effort we're going to continue to be giving (not named Herro or Jimmy, Bam, Pelle, or vets) Nobody else should remain on this team.
Dru Smith, nice effort and thx for playing defense
Ps. GAWD Dammn, we'd be a lottery team without Tyrone Herro
I’d say you keep Tyler and the young crowd (JJJ, Ware, Dru, 2-way guys, maybe Jovic)
Everyone else gotta go lol
I mean I know these aren’t the actual numbers but why does every team seem to just light us up. I guess it’s cause we have good 3-point shooters but not elite ones…
Even with half of the roster out and beat up, Miami managed to pull out a win on Boston’s home floor. We’ll always have that at least.
Anyone have any ideas to help us cope?
I’m honestly a fan of this.
Vucevic can play next to Bam seamlessly.
He’s avg 20 & 10 so far this year shooting 46% from 3.
Even if he shoots 35-38-% that’s a huge improvement for our team.
It hurts losing Duncan but we have to try something and this seems like a Miami style of a trade.
Spo has a man crush on Vucevic too and if we can get a few picks it’s probably worth it.
With jaylen brown being out (one of bostons main shooters) do you think we will atleast keep it within 10 points? Maybe steal the game? What do yall think

Like seriously, go get some real basketball players from the gleague in Josh Christopher, Keshad Johnson and play Ware more.
Obviously I'm not talking about the vets on this team. Or even Bam, he can only do so much. Just in general tho, we can't keep having Herro masterclasses and lose games. This and the Bucks game were the only 2 Ls that felt like Ls. Every game L we had the leads in and didn't finish.
Figure it out Spo, maybe Bam focus less on defense and just score the ball
Sad Jimmy probably got injured again, and has to play against bum teams.
Riley needs to make a move, if this is the effort outside of our vets and Pelle Larsson are going to give Herro.
Not really time to panic til after the Allstar break and we're barely 2 games about. 500
We play ball now, there's no excuses why we can't have the 4th seed locked up and 10 or 15 games above. 500
This is Jimmy's last chance at a ring
