It’s obvious that we have issues with our roster outside of Giannis and Dame (most of the time). Low hustle, poor defense, abysmal offense. What players could we target and what could we trade in exchange for them?
Moveables: GTJ, Bobby, Brook, Pat, MarJon
Assets: AJ Green, Tyler Smith, 2031 First Rounder, Second Rounder
Needs: Big, Wing
Sellers: Portland, Toronto, Charlotte, Atlanta
Apologies for the novel y'all, but I gotta rant here. Giannis and Dame are still incredible players. Giannis always was, and still is a god tier player. Dame has proven through 5 games that he’s a different player than last year. Grizzlies game was rough, but outside of that he’s been stellar in 4/5 games thus far. We have one of the best if not the best star duos in the game and their chemistry looked MUCH improved against Cleveland.
Khris coming back should be a godsend for the bench, where we have literally zero perimeter shot creation/playmaking. Having him to stagger lineups with and run some of the 2nd unit lineups with Giannis will be massive.
The biggest problem right now for the Bucks is that they have one of the single most destructive players in the entire league right now taking up 25-30 min off the bench - Bobby.
He’s quite possibly the worst defensive big in the league right now getting rotational minutes. He has no lateral quickness, terrible positioning/anticipation, and simply doesn’t give near enough effort to compensate for that. He is a walking layup line for the opposition when he’s on the floor, and constantly makes mistakes that put everyone else on the floor in bad positions.
Even on offense, he is 2nd in the entire league in post up frequency, despite being terribly inefficient at it. Completely unacceptable and selfish player on a team with two superstar level players. He is incredibly sensitive to fans/media criticizing him and is completely obsessed with proving people wrong, but is too dumb to realize that inefficient post ups are NOT the way to do it. He has no ability to play within the flow of the offense and make quick reads/passes to help his teammates, and any offensive flow dies completely when he’s on the floor.
He has the 4th worst net rating in the entire league right now - we are BLEEDING points when he’s on the floor because he is so terrible defensively and so selfish offensively. The way he’s playing right now, we would literally be better off just cutting him out of the rotation entirely and letting Ajax/Green take up the remaining rotation minutes and playing more small ball Giannis at the 5.
If we can find ANY halfway decent defensive big in a trade for Bobby, even if they’re not particularly skilled on offense, we’d be better for it.
It sounds crazy to say it since we're 1-5, but this team still has championship upside in them if they just A) get Khris back, and B) can swing a trade for Bobby. The former will happen, the latter I'm not so sure. But they absolutely need to do it.
Are we cooked? Giannis and dame balled. Everybody else on the roster is terrible minus maybe Prince and Ajax. Fiserv was about half full for a Saturday night game vs an undefeated conference opponent. We all really just took the ring in ‘21 and rode it into the sunset. I’m sad
I’m a Blazers fan and obviously a big Dame guy. Like everyone else we’d think this duo would be unstoppable and hit the floor running. We gave it some time and things still seem off. I’m wondering from y’all’s point of view what seems to be the issue? Why the 1-5 start? Is it coaching? What is it?
Can we trade Bobby for Grant Williams?
Sam Merril killed us tonight outscored our whole bench and dribbled the ball like 3 times all night. Our bench is atrocious. 13 pts jesus.
Dame and Giannis played lights out, Prince contributed, Brook has a solid game and it never felt like we weee in control outside the first 10 min of the first quarter. FUUUUUCKKKKK! 💔💔💔 I was glad about the urgency showed and I felt like we played better than we have all year but damn we need everything to go perfectly to win it seems 😔 outside of Giannis and Dame our team scored like 38 pts.
For the next 10 games the team faces
Cavs (A) Jazz (H) Knicks (A) Celts (H) Raptors (H) Pistons (H) Hornets (A) Rockets (H) Bulls (H) Pacers (H)
what’s your prediction?

BMO Club so worth it!
We need to get rid of Gary trent jr before we lose Giannis, dame and our whole season. Gary is 8-29 on three point attempts, litteraly the only thing we need from him and hes not delivering.
Still no Khris.
We are 1.5-point favorites (?).
Let's shut these bitches out get a damn win, just any win, for the love of god!
FMD.
#Go Bucks!
Our rough start is just good old fashioned bad coaching, Doc Rivers has tanked the beginning of this season with historically bad rotations, for this team to succeed we have to start with the rotations, That means less Brook Less Bobby and NO Pat C, Our lineup of Dame-Wright-Ajax-Prince-Giannis is a lineup we need to see more of in the future, the Bucks and Bucks fans need to let go of this we need shooters next to Giannis Philosophy, At this stage in Giannis and Dames careers they need 3&D wings next to them, Wright Ajax and Prince all are versatile enough to guard multiple positions and can shoot and pass well enough to open opportunities to Giannis and Dame, Bobby and Pat have regressed to the point where they both are borderline unplayable for more than 10 minutes, Gary Trent and Brook would work better of the bench to fix our scoring,Aj Green is one of the best shooters on our team, he should be playing Pat Cs role, Even Marjon deserves at least some run to see what he can at least bring to the table, this team success hinges on Doc Rivers
Bounce back game starts with everyone doing their part, including us
This is the energy that's needed to win tonight at Fiserv Forum.
We're going through a ridiculous transition top to bottom.
After we won the championship; ownership being hedge fund managers decided they capitalized on their investment so they sold us to Jimmy Haslam.
Since '21, Jon Horst:
-Mortgaged any future draft capital on Jae Crowder
-Fired Bud.
-Hired Griff
-Traded Jrue/Grayson for Dame
-Fired Griff
-Hired Doc
-Is currently shopping our aging, middling roster for picks and apparently other players?
This transition will only get worse before it gets better. ESPECIALLY with no accountability in our front office whatsoever.
Horst should've been fired BEFORE Bud. Plain and simple.
The transition defense is the worst I've ever seen.
