I usually find these sorts of discussions silly but I was wondering earlier what other players (active or not) would actually fit well alongside a non-traditional "point center" like the Joker. Below are some of my personal picks/considerations.
Michael Jordan: kinda goes without saying, absolute weapon, lethal from anywhere on the court and an all-time defender
Steph Curry: provides amazing 3 point shooting, spacing, and his off-ball movement would be amazing alongside Joker's passing and vision
Lebron James: a secondary "floor general", great cutter, lob threat, rim pressure, great in transition, and another all-time defender
maybe Tim Duncan or Kevin Durant(?): this is where I'm a bit unsure, I feel like Duncan would provide better defense but might clash a bit with Jokic's presence around the rim, whereas Durant would provide another weapon alongside Curry and Jordan but lack a bit on the defensive end of the floor
Thanks for reading! Would love to hear your thoughts :)
Hello! With Christmas rapidly approaching I was hoping to get some insight into website recommendations for knock-off Nuggets jerseys. I would love some specific sellers if possible, and any experiences you've had shopping or sellers to avoid are welcome!
What's up!
I'm a Hawks fan, live in Atlanta. Nuggets have been my second favorite team for a while. My dad's a pilot and he tells a story about flying a charter flight for the nuggets and that Melo checked another player who was being a dick to a flight attendant. And then there was an SI Kids article about Carmelo's Yellow and Blue custom Lincoln and as an adult my dream car would be to get a Lincoln Continental and fuse it with that Hyundai EV Concept interior.
Also Nuggets staff is very nice and my dad still flies for Delta. It's a weird way to have NBA opinions but here I am.
Michael Porter Junior for Bogi. Makes a lot of sense in the fact that MPJ and Trae Young are good friends, and that Bogi won bronze with Joker and has secondary playmaking chops that MPJ doesn't.
HOWEVER.
Bogi is not nearly enough for MPJ. In terms of players that would help y'all, there's DeAndre Hunter, Nance, Bufkin that we would trade I think.
There's a trade that works that involves The Nuggets giving up MPJ and Zeke Naji and getting back Bogi Nance and Kispert. Hawks would trade Bogi Nance and Roddy and some picks, Wiz woild get Zeke and picks.
Nuggets would get two plus shooters and a back up big that can shoot and has athleticism to back up Gordon as well. And get off the MPJ contract thus freeing up flexibility.
Wiz get picks and get rid of a player that will help them win games.
Hawks get a player that is more on Trae's timeline, who can shoot and fits the Hawks brand of long and light skinned. (Dyson, JJ, Rissacher, MPJ with Trae as their master splinter)
I'm bored at work. Not even sure I like this trade.
I guess Zeke Naji and David Roddy would hate this trade as they now are doomed to become a Wizard.
Seriously I’m starting to hate sharing this fandom with all you doomers lmao

This is the kind of game that you'll actually miss KCP. We really need a decent perimeter defender just like him if we want to be at least a contender for the chip this year. So the question is, will we have a mid-season trade this year?
Hey everyone, just wanted to lighten the mood after a loss by asking what’s everyone’s first memory of a nuggets game? Maybe even how long you’ve been a fan for! I’ll start. I remember watching Jamal’s first game as a rookie. I’m a Kentucky native, and Jamal was always one of my favorite wildcats. I think we were playing the Pelicans? He didn’t really do anything but I remember thinking how good he’d be. I tuned out from the nuggets until about six or seven years ago (I am a Jokic Merchant™️) and I’ve been hooked ever since!

We are a 1 seed when we play back to backs or with 1 day rest, but have yet to win with 2 or more rest days.
Feels like with to much rest, everyone seems to focus on anything but basketball.
Its time to quit the "Its a Job, we have lives outside of it", dudes you play basketball for 6 months getting paid 100x yearly salaries.
We went from the best 1Q team to a nonchalant jogging team, and only turn it on when the opposing team punches them in the face.
Has become increasingly clear to me with this version of the team with this roster construction that this team essentially needs Braun and Watson to both become very good if not elite defenders to be legitimate contenders going forward
CB - mostly solid rn esp on the ball I wouldn’t rule out him becoming potentially very good/borderline elite but he’s just not there rn
P Wat - has moments of truly elite defense but those are more flashes rn he could also get there but I’d be surprised if it happened this year
Jamal - at best he’s above average not elite
Mike - at best he’s average to slightly above average not elite
Jok - at best he’s average to a net positive won’t ever be elite bc of rim protection shortcomings
AG - mostly solid and at times can be very good but at this point in his career he’s not elite
Bench:
Saric - below average at best
Strawther - below average at best
Tyson - average at best
Westbrook - very good with flashes of elite defense esp on the ball - him being considered a top 3 defender on the team coming into the year (and that still being the case) is telling imo
And that’s potentially the hard truth about this team - with KCP gone now, nuggets are going to need CB and P Wat to both reach that consistently very good to great level defensively if they want to be considered serious championship contenders - compare their current roster from a defensive standpoint with okc celtics cavs (namely with Mobley and Allen both great defenders anchoring their defense) - even the rockets you see all these very good/potential lockdown defenders in brooks thompson eason etc
Just finished watching today's game versus the clippers. For what this team is meant to be and what they are being paid it is an embarrassment. Here is what everyone did wrong and needs to improve
Jokic: I mean this man is the Goat. He is really good but needs to make his free throws and try minimise those turnovers, otherwise as I said before he's the Goat.
Murray: locked in today made his shots but bros defence was not there. Lot of shots made on him
MPJ: This guy's green light is insane. I swear I saw Jokic open on the 3pt line 3 times and Porter shot the ball. The thing is he made all the shots but please improve that free throws percentage it's killing us.
Gordon: Coming back from injury we give him the benefit of the doubt. He also thought he was MPJ during that last minute shooting that 3. Just needs to find his rhythm.
Westbrook: Energy and defence was there but cost us points with the missed 3s, layups, free throws. Russ please improve that offence. Passing good though but make your shots.
Braun: This guy's stepped up. Confident but needs to be more of a leader in my opinion. Defence amazing but had that one mistake with he 3pt foul on Norman Powell.
Strawther: 3 is there but your defence is ass. Bro you committed a 3pt foul twice (from what I remember) Learn from the first time. He is still young will improve over time hopefully.
Watson: From what I remember I think he committed a 3pt foul as well. Defence wasnt too bad. Made some shots. Not too bad p wat.
Coach Malone: You waited 4 or 5 minutes to put Jokic back in in the 4th quarter. Very small Brian move. What else can I say
In summary this team needs to act more professionally except for the Goat. This is not a high school game or a college game. This is an NBA game. You are NBA players who are getting paid millions of dollars to play Basketball. Show that you are worth your contracts and are NBA players.
Rant Finished
