Let’s say you have to travel for Boston to New Vegas on foot. You can only carry one weapon and as much ammunition as you can realistically pack. What are you bringing and why?

I owned it on the 4 now it's on my PS5 when I go to view the product in anticipation for the update it shows there's a 5 dollar buy now option. Is anyone aware what this could be?

It's a humble collection, I know. Back when Fallout 4 released, I was a broke 22 year old college student who couldn't afford much. Fallout 3 is my favorite game of all time, I played through it a dozen times in high school, so when Bethesda dropped that E3 conference, my hype was through the roof. Now I have been blessed to purchase the pipboy edition and the game guide, along with other creative items.

Fallout 4 was met with some divisiveness (if you couldn't tell by the current arguments online post TV show) but it checked every box for me.

I have only played on console so I have never experienced any mods. This next gen update might not be much but I'm looking forward to traveling the Commonwealth once again. It's a great time to be a fallout fan!

So I recently finished the show and decided to try playing the game. I'm mainly a warzone and battlefield guy, but I loved all the far cry games and loved starfield til new game + got boring.

I'm on a Series X, by the way. Hate that I can't use mnk for fo4 but whatever

So I just finished the recon team mission for BoS and was headed north to the bunker and ran into some robot death laser guy and a Mr Gutsy and some mutant bear ( they all have skulls on their names so I know they're bosses and supposed to be hard) dude I can't get past them. They melt my shit. I had power armor on, a mini gun that ran dry, 4 grenades, that named laser rifle thing, an assault rifle, and a 10mm pistol, and a companion. I have the difficulty set to Very Easy and am getting clobbered!

Only mods I have are the 60fps4k one and the AIO visual thing (tried to read the xbox mod subreddit, it's like drinking from a firehose)

Can mods up the difficulty as a bug orrrr?

For reference, I've played every halo on legendary solo with almost no discomfort, and I'm a 1.56 on warzone, starfield I ran on Hard.

Just noticed that the Fallout TV show (mostly) uses the Pip-Boy UI layout from Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 but uses the Monofonto font from Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas instead of the Share Tech Mono font from those games.

Any way to reduce my movement speed? I've found a lot of mods about increasing my speed but if anything I think the base speed is extremely fast and floaty

Also, Anyway to change the controls to shift to run instead of shift to walk?

I have been brought to the master by Morpheus and the game will not give me the option to show the master the autopsy report, after selecting the option “there’s a problem with your master plan” it just gives me two options “sure” (give in) and “no” (initiates combat)

One thing I just thought about is the first episode of the fallout show when Lucy sleeps with her new husband but then after her pip-boy detects the rads from him and she says "raiders". How would she know what a raider is? Wouldn't she just say something like "oh my gosh you're from the surface!" and leave it at that? Later in the show when she proceeded to the surface, she seemed naive and surprised even to see other humans. Just something I wondered about. How would she even know that raiders exist unless there was some news from the Vault grapevine that other vaults had been raided?

What are they putting in the air? Everyone seems brainwashed. Reminds me of the Fallout 4 vault expansion.

Is this a new or fixed vault created by future Vault Tec? Everyone being from Shady Sands and all.

Why are there so many vault experiments occurring simultaneously? This is unusual.

Yes, people were correct to be skeptical. Why, you ask? I would ask you the question, what recent IP adaption into movies or TV show has proven to stay accurate enough to lore to not be completely off the rails? Halo? Nope. Witcher? Nope. Reacher? Ha. Those are just three of the most recent examples off the top of my head.

Were people looking to have something to be skeptical about? Sure, some were. But seeing something that implies the collapse of the capital of one of the two major factions during a time where lore was established for them to be going still? That's not a stretch. At all. That would indicate a major timeline shift and retcon if it was meant to be a total collapse around that time. That's a reasonable reason to think something is a bit off.

Overall, the show did an amazing job with keeping in line with just about everything in the fallout universe. But that date and what was written was not something unreasonable to get a bit wierd about what the implications were and clarification was needed, and thankfully, given.

Now we know that this was an intentional mislead. It was always supposed to be the Prydwen, they just didn't want us to know in the trailer. East coast and West coast BoS have reestablished contact.

So last week when the show came out and I saw that the NCR was destroyed I immediately started to ponder the question of who could have destroyed the NCR and nuked Shady Sands. And I think I can confidently think that I know who destroyed New California. My best guess is that it was the brotherhhod and let me list you the reasons why I believe this:

1. The brotherhood hoard all kinds of crazy technologies, so it would stand to reason that they could be in the posession of one or more nuclear warheads which is how they could have destroyed Shady Sands.
2. Considering that the show is canon to the fallout timeline the brotherhood- NCR war with the western brotherhood still happened which gives the BoS a very understandable motive: revenge.
3. The ferocity of how Moldavers "Raiders" fought against the BoS was really surprising, almost as if there was some deep hate against the BoS.
4. The Nuke crater in Shady Sands was to large for a regular nuclear grenade.
5. There are maybe two factions in the wasteland which could have nuclear weapons in their possession who are the Enclave and the BoS. But since the Enclave was virtually destroyed by the NCR they basically are out of the game.
6. ( this doesn't really impact my theory all that much) Some of Moldavers men wore NCR Trooper uniforms meaning that they could be formar NCR Military.
7. The Prydwen being present in the Western US. In Fallout 4 it was stationed on the east cost but the brotherhood could have easily moved it to the west to oppose the NCR after learning that the NCR was actively fighting the NCR.
8. The brotherhoods own fanaticism. All throughout the show the brotherhood is portrayed as super religious and fanatical in their believes. And the NCR was famous for reusing and reimplementing pre-war technologies which the brotherhood really did not like at all.

So, there are my reasons for why it was the brotherhood who destroyed the NCR and nuked Shady Sands. But, what do you think? Could my theory hold up?

I’m enjoying fo76 because online it’s a great thing for me. But I’m wondering why people say 4 it’s way better.

Nobody gets a sun burn. That should be a very serious hazard with they way they're walking all over the place with no sunscreen.

Am I wrong or the did not a single brotherhood of steel member have a single energy weapon, only the ugly assault rifle and 10mm pistol in the show? I can only recall seeing two members of the ncr having a energy rifle and pistol.

I can understand if they are trying to make them super rare in the show but should the brotherhood be the only faction that should have access to them in that case.

I have fallout 4 with no DLCs and lost two companions, codsworth and valentine. I sent them to what I thought to be my main base and they haven’t showed up. I’ve played awhile since so they should be there by now. Is there anyway to easily track them down?
