The game is currently on sale on PSN and I've been on a turn based heater beating XCOM 2, Miasma Chronicles, Phoenix Point etc.
I've been interested in Wasteland for a while and W3 has an 86 Opencriric which is remarkably high for a game of it's ilk. I'm trying to decide between the regular or Colorado Edition. This is my first Wasteland game and I'm wondering if the DLC is worth playing the first time through as W3 appears to be a large and busy game to begin with I wonder if hitting the DLC first time would be overkill.
Also, is the game truly as good as they say?
So I'm figuring out the game still and have been playing really slowly, trying the controls and stuff. I'm in AC and finally figured out the controls and ui. Anyway, Matt died from infection. Rose and Kathy called my teams assholes for taking too long and left.
I try not to save scum in RPGs and to play blind but I'd like to at least have an idea what happened before I commit.
Unlike say fallout, does time pass in real time when you are in a location? So in this case, Matt died because I literally took too much time irl going back and forth in the room (which i did)? Or is it event based, for example I shouldn't have saved both researcher teams nor gone back to sell junk and buy bullets from Mark (which I also did multiple times) untill I had gone to the basement? Or maybe i just should't have tried talking to Mark after he said he wasn't in a fighting mood?
Thanks
edit: to anyone googling this, i literally didn't speak to them until i got the musthroom thingie, and he didn't turn. He only turns if you speak to them and scientist lady says "don't tell me you don't have it" and you say no.
Just found a nuke launcher inside a booby trapped bunker out in the rad 3 zone, I’d previously found a tac-nuke and was wondering what to do with it, so this works out perfectly. As you can see, my explosive expert Preacher is now double-pumping with rocket launchers. Lord have mercy on the souls he’s about to send up.
Which choice is best? I'm not sure if I should side with the Gippers, the machines or take the AI for myself (or something like that). November Rules is the optimal best decision so I want Colorado to be a better place. Could you tell me what decisions are best in this ending? I know the requirements, but what else is worth doing? Thanks if you reply
Is it possible to edit the faction reputation in the editor? I want to get the best ending (Novermber Rules! where the guards rule Colorado or something like that, I read that it's the best possible ending) so in case of a mistake I want to be sure that I will have the support of each faction. If you reply thanks
I’ll admit wasteland is my first game in the series I’ve owned the game over a year and I’ve stopped and started a few times. Recently I’ve really gotten into the game I’m about 80 hours in and have racked up a lot of achievements I play on Xbox but I’ve noticed almost all of the achievements have very low rates of completion. So I have to ask does anyone actually play or do people just buy and watch YouTube videos?
Anyone else self enforcing ironman at the moment? I’m looking for tips / advice on these kinds of runs.
Basic criteria:
-Supreme Jerk -Permadeath -Difficult Checks (Optional. I feel like it hamstrings the early game too much and doesn’t matter late game.) -No reloads (This is the big one. No savescumming to get the best/preferred weapon out of Liberty’s safe, no redoing a fight that goes poorly, etc… and if you party wipe that’s gg).
Anyone else run games with similar rules and if so what’s your go to strategy to get the run off the ground?
I don't know why I lost one chicken. Can't find it anywhere. I remember I delivered 5 of them to Ranger HQ now one just gone. This is annoying. Is there anyway to cheat or edit save game just to get him back?
Scorched Basin, our Desert TTRPG setting inspired by the Mad Max wasteland is going to include:
Meet the Riders faction:
The Riders in the Scorched Basin live fast and recklessly. Existing only to feel the rush of adrenaline as they push themselves and their gnarly vehicles past their limits.
If you'd like to know more about the Riders and the other factions of the Scorched Basin, check out the subreddit r/ScorchedBasin. We are posting cool behind the scenes / teaser content there pretty regularly. Hope to see you there!
Hey all. I'm playing on a crappy laptop and I would like to try for 720p to have a better framerate. However there's only an option for 1024x768, which is 4:3 or something, and the lowest available windscreen resolution is 1600x900. Is this normal?
I tried googling but found no answer. I'll play the game at 1600x900 for now, which gets me 30 to 40 FPS on this old thing, but ideally I would probably prefer a little more fps.
As the title suggests, Looking to add a few mods (specifically Better Equipment Mods, Free Retrain and Party of Six) but also want to keep getting my Steam Achievements.
Does anyone know? The best answer online o found so far is a steam discussion board talking about portrait mods not effecting achievements. The above mods are little different though since they use DLL plugins for example (instead of just a texture file)
I’m starting to get burnt out but want to truck through to the end. Just got to California and have visited Rodia and the mannerites town. I’m overwhelmed by the number of quests given and what to do. Any suggestions on how if I should focus on doing each town specific quests and then move on or should I just jump all over the place
A dig pile emerged but can’t be dug am I missing something or did they just trick me into following a turtle for awhile?
On my last run, I created 2 snipers with the perk that have red aura visual which iirc increase their crit chance and dmg, they kill 4 enemies in a single turn
What other powerful team combination I can do?
Or what's the strongest build in this game?
Played the first one for 10 minutes and got murdered in the ag center by Harry and his pets… the interface and combat was a quite a bit less intuitive then I was expecting (going in blind) then started playing 2 and have been enjoying it a lot. Should I lock in and figure out the first?
I can't complete the quest, it seems I need to find a console to open the gate but I don't know where it is
Psn is Godsieghart Brazilian
I was just wondering if it is possible to avoid any sexual content in these games. I read that there is a brothel, can this be skipped? I get pretty triggered by sexual things and prefer to avoid them
Howdy folks, I've been working on Backstory for one of my ranger characters I've been playing, who I will be taking on the personal of for wasteland weekend 2025. I wanted to get some feedback from the community and any folks from InXile who might be browsing the subreddit today.
Current Backstory: Born in 2070 in The Palms (Formerly known pre bomb as 29 Palms), Sweetwater grew up in the tribe that called The Palms home. The locals in the area referred to this tribe as the "Leatherneck" tribe, a name that once rang true with the people of The Palms ancestors. Eventually in 2087, with the rising threat of the first plague of machines, many of the Leatherneck Tribe would join with the desert rangers in order to get protection for their home, including among those new rangers was a then 17 year old Sweetwater. Fast forward to 2102, Sweetwater and Ranger Team October were assigned to the San Fra (Formerly San Francisco) tohelp deal with local reports of "Strange metal men in the surf". Unbeknownst to Sweetwater and Team October, they would be walking into the oncoming path of second wave of Cochises machines, chaos descended upon the city as Ranger and Civilian alike took a stand in the old San Fran mint building. For several days, the defenders held out as slowly their ammunition began to run dry, as the machines began to breath the front of the Mint, suddenly all noise outside stopped. The machines were began to power down, no longer moving, some collapsing to the ground. After helping where they could, the surviving members of Team October buried their dead and with Sweetwater now leading them, began to return to the citadel only to find it in ruins. Eventually he and his team would meet back up with the surviving rangers and begin to try to help re-establish a foothold in the region while an expedition was sent to aid a group up in Colorado.
That's mostly what I've got written for now, but if anyone has any feedback or criticism, please let me know down in the comments below.
I want to play this game with my boyfriend, but i have seen that multiplayer was really bugged. Does anyone know if they have fixed this? I saw a post about the status on PS4, but we play on PC.
I think i am having issues with the DLC, or at least leveling issues.
I been trying to do a non lethal run with disruptor weapons on Steeltown, but everytime I enter a fight, the disruptors do so much damage that the people just die normally, with blood showing up regardless.
I cheated to have a lot of perks and attributes from the start of the game, artificially breaking leveling cap likely, does that mean my guys are just going to be doing to much damage to the enemies of steeltown for non lethal runs?
My friend and I are looking to play Wasteland 3 online coop, he is on PS4 and I am on PS5; the reviews from last year are not favorable for online coop and making us nervous about buying this game... we really want to play a turn-based RPG like Divinity and don't really have many options since he doesn't have PS5 yet.
Has anyone tried to play online coop on PS4 in the last year, or have any other game suggestions to stay in this genre for Playstation?
I made it about halfway through the game on Xbox before eventually putting down. I really love the world and lore of the game but I've been wanting to try a duo run and I'm hoping PC servers hold up better.
