As the title says, I can't get any of my skills past level 1 in the library. I did do the rooftop glitch for XP. Wanted the story more than the gameplay. INT is 160 and I can't use any of it. Did I break something?
So after some googling i noticed i am not the only one having issues with scorpitron encounters. For those unaware AI just refuses to fight with me and even if i kill all enemies i cannot leave the area as it simply says i am in combat. Usually this gets fixed by reloading save and doing the encounter again however with the scorpitrons no matter how many times i reload saves the same bug occurs. The post i read about was 2 years ago soo maybe someone found a solution meanwhile? i really want to do this fight as i just feel i am missing a part of game if i dont. Thank you
Hello everyone! I have a few questions so if you dont mind responding
-should i do dlcs before main quest? -if i respec my sniper, will he lose books bonuses?
-if i let slavers get that girl (ranger hq), will luci leave my party?
Thanks in advance?
Please tell me I'm new to this game I only had 2 people in the party( me and the woman grieving for Ace) when I arrived at the ag center, I watch the walkthrough on YouTube and they have 4 people in the party
Hey! So, I've decided to try Wasteland 2, but I think something is off. I've decided to go to Highpool first, did all of the quests there, then I got to Ag Center, cleared it out, but didn't talk to Kathy (found serum though), that started a quest "Monitor radio for calls about spreading infection", after that I've cleared out all of the infected settlements and added the serum in water in each of them, but it doesn't say in the log that I did it. Essentially, the log just goes "General Vargas passed along a distress call from Marjorie at Stubbins' Farm..." and then immediately "Vargas has sent us a call from Shiitake Mushroom Farm..." and then "Ranger Citadel received a distress call from Knottsburg, a village..." The serum was used, as I have 7 of it now, but the quest never ends, I've returned to Ag Center and talked to Kathy, but that just updated my log with a message that Kathy asks to save the settlements. I've returned to the settlements, but nothing changes when I interact with reservoirs. So, is this a bug or I've missed something? I didn't save for quite some time, so that'll be nice if I've just missed something and didn't have to restart.
Just some thoughts I'd like to get off my chest after finishing the game today. (sorry for bad AI translation)
What I loved about the boss fights: The music tracks. It made the boss battles really fun when you didn't have to repeat them too often and then it got annoying. It's also not an everyday thing for me, but an interesting approach to the fights.
What annoyed me about the boss battles was that they were too easy to avoid. Especially at the end. My finale was underwhelming because I didn't have a fight against either Liberty or Angela. I like the idea of boss fights that you can solve with diplomacy (Deus Ex series) but then I want to earn it. Through skilful decisions I made beforehand. And carefully choosing the right dialogue options. Not through a [10 skill]: Congratulations you win. In the finale after the Ranger HQ, I was still expecting to painstakingly storm the Palas of the Patriarch and get the representatives of the factions as allies or enemies, but nothing. On the contrary, my reputation with the Refugees dropped from Loved to Hated in one fell swoop for plot reasons.
I was also very excited about the endings. Because the November Reigns was touted as the best ending. But after my Patriarch Ending and the Epilogue Sliders, I have to say that I actually like the Patriarch Ending better. It's a November Reigns with in-betweens. The Rangers have a lot of influence and are very popular with the factions. They know what the Patriarch has done and what his children are like. The important thing for me is that the Patriarch hasn't done anything bad during the game. We only know what bad things he did before the game. And I wouldn't go behind his back for that. The Rangers are true to their word and are just waiting for the Patriarch to kill his next wife, start suffering from dementia or let one of his children get away with something bad. Then the Rangers will intervene. Instead of ruling themselves by enforcing democratic elections or a successor who has proven himself. That's what the rangers do. They didn't take over any of the territories in WL 2, they just mediated between the sides or helped the more competent side to power.
But all in all, I really enjoyed WL3 and I'm hoping for a WL4. Maybe with more focus on the companions like Luisa.
I'm currently playing wasteland are there any items that I should look out for and what stats are best for a barter character
I've been dealing with an issue where Lucia and Kwon randomly leave my party, even though I’ve made sure no civilians weren’t harmed. I found a workaround on PC using the Wasteland 3 Save Editor (version 64.1.4). To fix this bug, open your save file in the editor, locate the lines "G_Kwon_AttackWarnings_CoSpr,"(same for lucia) highlight them, and click "Remove. Save file. To open a save file, just go to "File" > "Open," where you’ll see a list of all your Wasteland 3 saves.
Here's the link to editor - https://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?p=195674#p195674 USE THE TOP link. password is under the file name.
If anyone needs assistance respond to post.
Tldr: My display driver got messed upped after playing w3
I got a pc rather recently (pretty much “stress tested” it) so after breaking my fibula which restricted my ability use mouse and keyboard properly I decided to get back into w3 which I can play with controller after playing about 6 hours I started to play again which resulted in my second monitor losing connection and my main one shortly after. After some trouble shooting I found out that my display driver got messed upped which got fixed after reinstall. Anybody had anything similar happened before or was I just unlucky?
And after coming back from a long break, my first few fights in a row were brutal. Used way more value in consumable grenades, turrets and medical supplies than I was getting from encounters just to stay alive. Was about to restart from square one on an easier difficulty but finally thought to myself, "is this what Reagan would have wanted??"
"FUCK IT" I said! And started only taking encounters, moves, and shots I knew would hit. I don't come into your arena anymore, friend. Bitch you come through my choke point. Lucia is waiting in the wings with overwatch next to her undersexed nerd genius that never met a toaster she couldn't fix or fuck (not in that order) while toting her weird science freezethrower for whoever the first unlucky bastard through the door.
Pvt Bell and Ice, the .50cal gals are dual equipped with energy snipers and apple pie American high-caliber rounds for popping heads and servos every turn. Chris is a strong leader that found his voice and his action point buff let's the gals do it twice so nice everytime.
Meanwhile, there's an absolute psychopath, armed to the tits, stalking the field with impunity collecting 3 and 4 aggros and keeping them entertained with her cryoblade while the rest of the team picks apart the map.
I finish most levels without taking damage now. I'm rolling in cash and am always on the hunt for the next area.
Maybe the real easy mode was the friends we made along the way.
Say I max out my strength to 10, and then I equipped the Ranger generals hat, which gives one in every attribute. Would this mean, then, that I have a hidden bonus of 11? Or do all the respective attribute points to percentages ratios cap out at 10:% regardless of any extra points your gear may give?
Edit: so something interesting just happened. I had my speed attribute at nine (10 with hat). It showed that my combat speed was 3.8. And then, I unequipped the hat, and with nine points into speed my combat speed was 3.3. Naturally, when I unequipped the hat, I was able to put the last point into speed, which brought it back up to 3.8. Then a curious thing happened. I equipped the hat again after I put that 10th point into speed manually and so now with 10 points into speed AND the hat equipped, my combat speed is now 3.9. So that means there IS some kind of interaction with attributes having hidden bonuses of over 10. Not sure what exactly the interactions are for every stat because I know that putting a point into speed raises your combat speed way more than just .1. So I wonder how this translates to other stats. Maybe this is a bug?
I have been playing non stop for like 2 days now and I have had zero issues. All of a sudden I try and get into the Machine Shop in Colorado Springs and my game comes up with a "Download Pending" notification and I get kicked out of the game and can't play anymore l ..what happened?
The settings from the display section keep resetting to the way they were when I installed the game so I have to reconfigure them every time I play it. Not sure why the display section specifically, as everything else seems fine.
I've seen that for other games this may be that the settings file is read only, although I can't trace back where I've seen this. By going to "C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\Packages\DeepSilver.56575194F7E04_hmv7qcest37me\Settings", which I assume it's where the settings are stored, there is a settings.dat file and a roaming.lock file, none of which are read only.
So far this game has been 70% solving issues and 30% gameplay, which is a downgrade form the last one where everything was setup and running from the start.
Just beat WL3 last night (November Reigns ending), really enjoyed the whole game and am looking for other games that may help scratch the itch this game gave me.
Has anyone been able to or successfully played through the entire game with one character. I'm super interested in trying it out, and wanted to know if its even possible.
I'm in Cheyenne Mountain, Security Level, and from what I've read the Night Terror is behind this door I can't open. Every time I try opening the door it says "requires power". I've used every computer I can find but nothing does the trick. What am I missing?
This might sound silly, but I thought for years that the placement of Colorado Springs, Denver, and Yuma County were the result of the devs taking certain creative geographic liberties. Turns out, I just never bothered to turn a map of Colorado 90°. It's still a bit wonky and not 100 percent accurate, but it makes a LOT more sense traveling northwest to Denver now than it did before (also please ignore my placement of Yuma, it's not accurate).
Maybe this was intentional and never realized it. I really like the idea that the world has moved on so completely from pre-war identities/geography that Colorado is now completely reoriented around Colorado Springs. Reminds me of the old maps of the Chesapeake Bay that were oriented based on the incoming direction of sailors, and not how we'd view them today.
Replaying the game today - got Marshall's rep + Hundred Families rep + Cheyenne/Gipper energy. Met Angela Deth at Hoon Homestead and was once again shellshocked by the terrible argumentation. Was wondering if anyone was able to achieve November Reigns after "killing her" (she runs at first meet). Appreciate any help!
I just downloaded the game and read some stuff about the game on Reddit and some forums but I don't really understand the way custom characters and companions work. AFAIK I will create some custom characters at the beginning then I can add 3 companions I can find in the game. But when I find more companions can I dismiss custom party members and add companions?
I've seen two episodes where W3 world acknowledges itself a game: 1) a terminal in Steeltown which offers you to "end the simaulation" (instant gameover); 2) three bots discussing a tortoise's corpse (one of them sujjests that it is out of place and low-detailed because the makers of the simulation didn't consider it important). Did anybody find anything else like these events? What do you think of them? Are they just the devs' jokes not to take the game too seriously? Or do they imply something more sinister? Like Cochise AI actually won in W2, and W3 is just an alternative scenario played inside it's mind?
...is it possible to get the peaceful transfer of power ending if oil isn't being produced from Denver but you do get Colorado Springs energy from the Holy Detonation? My understanding is that only the Gippers can refine oil so giving Denver to the Godfishers, Hard-Heads or the Machine Commune results in the oil getting cut off, but Colorado Springs having energy is a pre-requisite for the ending
I know this has been posted somewhere before, but how do you go about getting Daisy's rifle? Is there a way to do it without losing rep with the marshals?
So I understand how Cochise can take over robots and synths, but how is he able to take over anyone with a cybernetic implant? Like how does a metal arm get him into my head? I have no experience outside of 3 and I can't find an answer anywhere
Looking for recommendations for similar games, iso metric rpg, nothing fantasy with spells or wizards, I hate fantasy stuff. Something like WL2
