I was planning to play classic fallouts since i finished fnv, and I quess now is a good opportunity

Every time I press the home button on my keyboard to exit the fallout screen and check discord, I can't seem to go back into the launcher

For some reason I was not allowed to enter the vault after completing the quest and returning to the first citizen saying "it's taken care of" instead of saying I fixed it because I know she would get mad and exile me. Do I need to be a citizen to actually open the computer though? I tried a few computers and nothing happened but maybe it was the wrong ones. I'm stuck at work and ansy to know so sorry for the dumb question.

Fallout 1 is pretty much legendary and wanted to experience how it originally came out. I used the DOSBox emulator to run the original DOS version of Fallout 1 and it was a struggle! I love the idea of playing older games how they originally came out, but in this case I wasnt able to. I was able to work around the bugs, but eventually hit a major roadblock after destroying the military base. After leaving the area the screen would turn black. I tried to include a DOS mod that is available out there, but didnt have the correct version. After a lot of tinkering I realized I wouldnt be able to get it to work and gave up. I was almost done with the game so I didnt want to just walk away from it. I ended up buying the collection on steam and fully expected to start from scratch, but I copied the save file from the DOS version to the modern windows version and it worked flawlessly! I was able to finally find the master and save the wasteland. If someone else was able to play the original DOS version entirely somehow please let me know. Now onto Fallout 2.

sorry if I sound lonely and crazy, I just have a vibe I have with my companions that makes me attached to them, even if they don't have much dialogue, I am just kinda like that, I wonder if it isn't just me

I just started fallout 2 and I am on my way to Klamath with Sulik I'm at level 3. As the title says I hate the knockback but my characters small guns is at 18% so would it even be worth it to start dumping points into guns now?

Im so close I just need the red card and presidents card to blow up the bomb om the rig but I just cant I dont know where to go or where to find them and im sorry Arroyo yall better start getting comfy cause in my timeline The Enclave was VERY succesful.

I beat Fallout 1, but mostly with the crutch of occasional guides and tutorials. But Fallout 2? I have no idea what I’m doing. Every fight feels too hard, quests feel confusing and convoluted, I have no idea how to ever get any quest items like parts for the highwayman. Maybe I’ve been handheld too hard by modern fallout games, but I could use some advice for fallout 2. Does anyone have any tips? Similar experiences? Am I stupid?

Running msdos Fallout 1997 on anbernic rg35xxh

I’m asking this in case I do an energy weapons build.

I am currently away from home and wanting to play FO1 on my android. I have Fo2.exe downloaded but don't have access to my computer to copy the game files. I would gladly purchase the game from Steam/ anywhere else via my phone in order to get the files needed to run it on Fo2.exe. Any solutions, or am I doomed to wait until I have access to my PC? Thanks.

Just spent 20 minutes bartering with the red 888 gun merchant and going between my companions to get guns. Once I finished the game crashed and now I have to do It again.

I don’t there’s no specific example of what they look like, but I was wondering at least what race, skin color or gender they are? I kind of like to picture someone when I’m playing.

Is there a way to blow up the rocks under the outhouse without turning half of the city in to shitfest?

I cant find any info on this, maybe some of you have successfully done it? Is it even possible? Modock is a very relaxing place and it would be nice to keep it clean after completing all the quests there. It makes me sad to see all the buildings covered in feces :(

I was playing Fallout 1 and arrived in Junktown, I did things according to my character, I helped the Darkwater guy (I don't remember his name) to get Gizmo's confession, he asked me if I could help him kill Gizmo, I accepted the proposal in exchange for money and he told me to talk to Lars (From what I saw, he's the first guy at the entrance to Junktown). The problem is that when I approach him and try to talk to him, he tries to kill me, as do the other soldiers in the area.

It was probably because I killed some guys before, I killed about three NPCs that attacked me when I entered the bar and talked to one of them (I didn't try to pick a fight but I fought back when they attacked me) and I also destroyed the Skullz at the hotel with my dog and another faithful ally 😈. I think this completely broke the Quest and made the soldiers want to kill me, it's not such a bad thing as I can just decline the offer and continue gameplay normally, but does anyone have a solution for this or can explain to me what happened? I still want to beat Gizmo to death, I don't like casinos 😡

Note: I'm not using weapons inside the city, he attacks me even without them. I've already used Sneak to be able to talk to him without him attacking me, but the option that should appear doesn't appear and he just sends me away (and tries to kill me later).

Note2: I found it extremely funny that everyone had a different problem in this city.

Companions blocked me in the airlock, what do I do?

Hey so I just started playing this fallout and it's really fun but junk town guards are attacking me, I got attacked in the hotel but the knife wielding gang and so I just used my superior firepower to kill them all, i assumed they'd be glad the gang is gone but apparently not, can I de aggro them or am I screwed and doomed to restart an hour of progress

Everytime I'm in the Dragons Kung Fu Challenge it crashes by the 3rd or 4th guy. It's been 11 times in a row but only if I do the kung fu. (I'm doing an unarmed playthrough so I really don't wanna forgo this)

I really don't want to do the whole Gecko powerplant quest and interact with Lynette (she gives me a fucking headache)

Basically just a simple question with a simple answer, can I just go straight to Vault 13 and get the G.E.C.K?

So is the poor buddy just fated to face death by force field. I can’t make it through the base without him dying to them. I’d really like to save him if possible but I heard some people say he’s meant to die here. Is that true?
