Where should I go to get loot? What guns should I get? Which bosses should I fight?

A lot of things are purple in sanctuary are purple and I don’t know what to do (sorry for the poor quality)

So I recently reinstalled the game on my Xbox series x and have encountered some issues. I want to preface by saying I have no mods installed.

I go through the start of the game and get back to sanctuary and codsworth won’t acknowledge me. I look it up and this is a years old bug. Ok try to restart with a new character. Same thing. I clean out all the bugs in town but no dice. I move on to concord because people say you can bypass it to complete the quest.

I go through concord it works mission complete I head back to sanctuary and codsworth still won’t talk to me. Well I scrap some stuff waiting for Preston to show up and I talk to him. Then the conversation freezes after telling him about my lost son. It just hangs looking at me like I forgot my line. Hitting the conversation skip buttons still has a reaction. And if I hold back I can leave the conversation but then I can’t have a conversation again.

Is there any suggestion for a fix? I tried using the unofficial fallout patch but that didn’t fix either issue. Is the game just gonna be broken until the next gen update? It seems like both of these bugs are years old. Does anyone have a good option going forward if I want to play the game?

I just returned to my settlement after a scavenging run and wanted to take some Radaway before I head back out on another run. I slept 14 hours straight, right after taking it, and I still have the Suppressed Immunity debuff active. Does anyone know the in-game timer for that debuff? I can't seem to find anything online.

Obviously, the show has helped to pull me back into FO4. But I've never played Nuka World or Far Harbor. So here we go again. I really don't have time for this. And yet... I can't leave it behind

I went with the Brotherhood and got the Boston Airport. It’s small and empty, and I felt it was the perfect place for my companion base, or HQ.

Just a small base with beds, workshops, power armor sets, etc populated only by the companions you can get. Like a barracks of sorts.

Unfortunately, they’re not really sticking around. They are never in the build area, but rather roaming the entire airport, or nowhere to be found.

I just wonder if anyone can recommend a good place for such a base. It doesn’t have to be too large, and I want it to be somewhat empty so I can build a single structure and keep my companions crowded together inside. My only other thought is the Drive In.

I have all the DLC.

My girlfriend is playing through Fallout 4 for the first time, and she sold the first Grognak comic found in Sanctuary Hills before realizing she wanted to collect them. Is there any way to get it back, possibly buying it off the merchant it was sold to (more than enough time has elapsed for normal merchant inventories to be refreshed), or is it gone for good now?

I have around 120 hours atm, I downloaded all the DLCs when I first reinstalled the game last month. I did Nukaworld and the Automatron dlcs with no issues other than Oswald glitching in Kiddie Kingdom.

Last night I started Far Harbor and most of the new assets where pink, the fog and the waves are what made it unplayable. I uninstalled far harbor and reinstalled it and when I went to play game again it crashed. I unstalled the entire game then reinstalled, now only NukaWorld wont cause the game to crash. Is there an order of how I should install the DLCS? maybe thats why my game keeps crashing.

I heard theres an update on the 26th but havent read if it will fix the issues. Might as well start 76 or 3/NV.

So I play on xbox and do have mods installed. None of the mods I have installed change the appearance of the game to my knowledge though. Plus, the game only looks like this when Im facing the zone with the most stuff. Im in the mechanists lair. I want some help because its quite the eyesore.

What are the best mods for FO4 that are lore friendly and do not break the game totally? Not looking to overhaul the game completely, but just to add some neat new stuff to the game. If there are any essential mods i should have please do let me know

Found a lot of confilcting information online, is there some definitive solution to this? I have a 144hz Gsync monitor, fullscreen works, borderless is a lag fest.

Will this cause OG mods to break forever? or is this one of those touch up update which dont effect all that much? been modding fallout since 3 and NV and i cant be doing with walking !!!!! or crashes when going into new cells!

Im curious how much mods there are in game that you can install compared to nexus nowadays. Do most of the important mods you use from nexus exist in game or is it a much smaller collection?

I'm making this post for every xbox players convince, I'm not currently at my xbox (And won't be till Monday) but I want your guy's help to post great mods that are present on xbox such as liberty reborn! (minutemen overhaul) so please comment any overhaul or quality of life or anything you think makes a play through better!

Specifically, making certain gear not useful due to it not scaling up with me ... or making enemies too tough from accessing a quest/area too late?

I was just graduating highschool when FO4 came out. I loved it as a younger fella, but being 27 now the game just clicks naturally for me now. I'm sure others feel the same way.

Titel, planning to downlaod mods. nothing major, just some enemy, and weapons mods and sim settlements. But with the new update coming in less than a week, should I just wait? I fear all my mods will die when the new update comes out putting my new playthrough on hold when Im right in the middle of it. Any suggestions? Should I just go for it? or wait a bit?

On PC, I’m not big on child labor but one of the kids at Somerville Place is not assigned to farming anymore and wanders around the place and was curious if anyone knows a console command to re-assign him to farming, as you cannot reassign him to anything because he’s a child. Again, I’m not a fan of child labor, I just want more food haha

I’ve just been trying to find all the actual firearm reminescant guns in fo4 like the wish.com Ak in Nila work but I was wondering if there are any other guns that kinda have the older fallout style

is it worth picking up now or should i wait for the update (no mod first playthru).

are there any major graphic overhauls coming to the pc version? or just the bonus enclave dlc ?
