For whatever reason the button is just greyed out and I can't interact with it, anyone have a fix?
I've been away from the fallout modding community for nearly a year now so are there any new armor mods that consists alot of armors?
Tl;dr I'm looking for a forest mod like "A forest" but toned down because the foliage can be a little much and a lot of the times I can barely see anything with all of the bushes and shrubs it adds to the wilderness. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations of nice forest mods that really only focus on things like trees and grass and not so much other foliage like large patches of bushes I'd greatly appreciate it
As the title says i have been experiencing frequent crashes(mostly when inside Diamond City) and i just can't figure out the cause. any help at all would be highly appreciated.
My latest crashlog.
And here is my loadorder.
Hello y'all! I recently got back into Fallout 4 on account of having a computer that can run it now! I purchased it back in ~2020 when it and the DLC was on a massive 80% off sale. My brother had always had the series games (on XBOX) and I'd been interested, but couldn't afford it for myself. Anyway, I played it on a really, really bad laptop that couldn't run it. Alas, I tried, and I got only three mods. 2 FPS was not stopping me (for awhile).
I was trying to find those three mods again, but I can't seem to find them. I recall the first one was a mod loader, so I hadn't searched much for that one. It's the other two I am having trouble locating. I remember it being on Nexus and being highly rated, thousands of downloads. It allowed players to produce children as well as settlers, providing a growing environment to Fallout 4. I LOVED the concept, especially the idea that you played as your children after you died. Procedural generation like that is so cool, but I can't for the life of me find it despite how huge it was! It also linked to several other mods, like weather changes and food/hydration requirements, but I can't find them either! I went searching Fallout 4's Nexus mod list for a couple hours and couldn't find it or any of the other mods anywhere. Stuff that was vaguely similar, but nothing close.
The third mod was the second mod's dependency. I clearly remember the original modder saying that they couldn't figure out how to do pregnancy and had help from someone who made a NSFW pregnancy mod, hosted on LoversLab. So I had to make both a Nexus account and LoversLab account. I would just pull those up.. if I remembered it at all. I just remembered my username was something like QuestioningMachine or something of the sort. I would just pop open my old laptop, as I still have it, but I'm pretty sure I uninstalled the Nexus mod loader or at least the Fallout mods. Besides, it's such a hassle to pull out, since it's been in storage for a hot second.
Does this description ring a bell? I know it worked, at least back then, because (despite the 2 FPS) I chugged through to see if it worked. I even remember someone doing a speedrun on the third mod on Youtube and there being a couple videos related to it, but I can't find it at all. Sometimes I do make stuff up, but I don't think I'm faking this.
What is it? Cus it seems all it does is allow NVSE to start from the launcher but is that all? Does it help with stability or anything?
My glowing sea is foggy and snowy instead of green and groggy. Is it because i have vivid weathers and south of the sea installed?
**Join Project Horizon: A Grand Fallout Mod Initiative**
Greetings to the Fallout Community,
We extend an open invitation to all those interested in contributing to Project Horizon, an ambitious overhaul project for Fallout: New Vegas TTW, aimed at reimagining Fallout 3 in its entirety.
**Project Horizon's Objectives:**
**Biome Transformation:** Completely overhaul the existing "Burnt Forest" environment, crafting diverse regions with unique weather patterns, flora, and fauna, akin to Fallout 76's immersive landscapes.
**Revamped Main Questline & Factions:** Introduce a new narrative arc and factions, including military, raider, settler, mutant, and cultist groups, each with distinct ideologies and societal structures.
**Expansion of Settlements:** Create several new cities and towns, replacing existing settlements to enrich the player experience.
**Enhanced Locations:** Introduce new, replaced, and overhauled locations to accommodate the revamped questline and factions.
**Dynamic Encounter System:** Implement new wandering NPCs for factions and dynamic environments influenced by player decisions.
**Significant Consequences:** Choices made by players will profoundly impact the game world, with major events akin to "The Power of the Atom" questline in Fallout 3.
**Post-Game Content:** Develop a post-game worldspace reflecting the long-term effects of player actions, with each faction exerting unique influence and interactions.
**Leveling Mechanics Overhaul:** Replace traditional perk/skill/trait/special systems with gameplay-affecting mechanics for a more engaging experience.
**Inspect Feature:** Reintroduce the inspect system from older titles, allowing interaction with objects for unique information and actions.
**Physics-Based Environments:** Utilize physics-based objects to replace static elements, enhancing environmental interactions.
**No Immortal NPCs:** Eliminate immortal NPCs, providing alternative progression paths and enhancing player agency.
**Expanded Inventory:** Introduce new items and equipment to complement the new locations, factions, and questline.
**Hazard Overhaul:** Introduce chemical waste hazards alongside radiation, with contamination systems and protective gear affecting gameplay dynamics.
**Mod Integration:** Create a new Wabbajack or Collection for seamless mod integration and accessibility.
As long as you are willing to consistently engage in discussions, we welcome your participation. If interested, a private Discord link will be provided upon request.

After downloading the mod to vortex, I entered the files and followed the instructions to use the optional meshes. Unfortunately, it does not work, I am unsure if I did something wrong, or if it was how the instructions were written.
Recently, I redownloaded Fallout: New Vegas, and I'm trying to mod it before playing. However, when I open the game, when the music starts, it stutters, with a hacked up version of the music coming out. For the playthrough, the voices and weapon sound effects are fine, it just seems that the ambient music is ruined.
What is causing this?
For my list of downloaded mods:
I had this idea for years, but somehow I never found it implemented.
This could open other pathways and they don't need to be complicated!
a) You need to find the GECK on your own, but must solve a string of puzzles or quests or must find the correct letters or databases that describe the location and instructions
b) you could try kill any faction in the wasteland and its branching into a wasteland-war.
c) each faction could be decimated or eradicated and maybe they get reinforcements or they don't
just skip the stupid and nonsensical Ending of F3 and let us resolve it with a Science- or hacking-skill or a doctor-skill that makes a scientist survive his journey to the plant and you patch him up so he gives you instructions.
Basically anything that removes the tacked-on and lazy end-"quest"
Sooooo many possibilities!
Implementing some open-ended or altered videos at the end, and voila:
We fixed Bethesdas stupid main story-quest!
Does anyone have trouble placing down the artillery cannon on the five corners of Fort Independence when using Green in The Commonwealth?
I recently updated it and it changed the hardcore needs from nice looking bars into just the condition bar. I can’t download any old versions cus they’re just archived and unavailable.
Does anyone know how to merge mods? I want to install Van Graffs overhaul and the mod author suggests merging their esp to other plugins but I don't know how to, anyone know how?
For some reason Fallout HD Overhaul makes my game crash, even if they are alone (im using all U. Patch, heap replacers etc) and randomly not load: one loading of save for example red rocket prop can be normal, I restart and load same save again and its black.
What mods shall I use to update DLC textures if im using NMC texture pack (this one works perfectly fine)? Just the landscape etc., I already covered the DLC armor, creatures etc.
I've followed the first part of Viva New Vegas and yet my game crashes before it even gets to the menu. I've attached my modlist here.
Is there a mod that adds the Fallout 76 soundtrack to FO4's ambient music? I found this mod: Fallout 76 Exploring Music in Fallout 4 but it's outdated and doesn't have music from the expansions. If there's a guide to importing the music myself that would also be great
Problem: After installing AAF and a few associated mods, an annoying random bug happens where I'm unable to open my Pip-Boy via Tab, the inventory via I, or attack/aim my gun. It always happens after exiting an AAF scene, but it also happens at seemingly random intervals out in the world exploring, in combat, etc. Reloading from the menu or with F9 for quicksave doesn't work, only a total reboot makes it go away. Sometimes, the missing functionality can be restored by opening a container/crafting/trading menu, not always though. Needless to say this makes the game totally unreliable for normal play.

The problem child is any tree mod I put into the game. Rn I have everything reinstalled and the only tree mod I have is "A forest". I have no other mod that changes the trees specially. Can someone please help me. I've sreached the internet and tried almost everything I could find but no luck.
Does anyone have any mods that uncap the amount of companions i can have? And preferably something that balances/ nerfs them, because 2 already feel overpowered. I just wanna create a small militia without trivializing the game. That or anything that generally spices up the whole companion system, as it feels a little underdeveloped in vanilla
Heyy so um, like the title said I modded the game with like 151 mods. And my game crashes every like 20mins give or take. Be after a big fight, fast traveling, loading a different, or Entering/exiting a building.
How would I go about making it not do that?
