Hi, pardon me for suddenly posting, but I don’t know if there is something wrong with my game because I am grinding like crazy in the Demonhall Mirror with a fully maxed out Statistician Innocent equipped.
But even though I am using again an accessory with a fully maxed out Statistician in the Demonhall Mirror, something still feels slow about the leveling system in the game because it took quite a while for my Majin to get to Level 4000, and now I am wondering if there is something I am missing when it comes to quick grinding in the game basically
Welcome to /r/Disgaea's Noob Questions thread, dood!
Have a quick question? Want to know how something works but don't want to start another thread? Ask away, dood! Even questions about Disgaea RPG, Prinny platformers, and fan favorites like Phantom Brave. Just be sure to mention the name of the game you're asking about, dood!
Great, detailed answers could be immortalized in our very own wiki (with your permission). And be sure to check the /r/Disgaea/wiki for tips, tricks, trophy lists, and other things, especially for Disgaea 5 which has a wealth of information for it. Feel like contributing to the wiki? I love these little touches.
I'm trying to build my ultimate team of ten maxed out character. Currently I've maxed all of their subclasses and extract stats except for HP and SP, which is what I'm working on right now. My next step will be equipment. My idea is to build a maxed out trapezohedron and then simply duping it until everyone has three, like I did in Disgaea 5. My question is: am I doing it right? The trap boosts all stats at once so I see no point in using everything else as far as armor is concerned. The only other thing is maybe the vernier thruster, as maybe it has more potential for movement than a maxed trap but I don't know if it's worth it without the stats (there are some things I don't know exactly, for example how much you can increase vernier stats and trap's movement, as I didn't studied Disgaea 7'item world new mechanics yet). So: triple trap for everyone, or should I leave some free spots for some vernier thrusters?
I love the game, the animation, the humor. I want to play it more but get overwhelmed by the choices.
How do I play? Do I power level first? Finish the story first? Leave DLC for last? Do item world ASAP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Seriously, I've looked all over the place and all i can find is the Deluxe edition that is so expensive! Is the regular version seriously digital only?
So as the title suggests I just bought Disgaea 4 complete+ on steam for $15 CDN too good to pass up I've played Disgaea in the past what should someone be doing early game to make the best use of his time? Also my favorite character has always been Raspberyl so she will be my main.
Yes I know that is obvious, but man it’s just that I cannot stop grinding in this area of the game as even if I kill off the monsters on lower difficulty levels, they still give so much levels to a single unit anyway that it’s unbelievable in a good way.
I just beat Adell and Rozalin as it was a pretty easy boss fight after I kept robbing them as now I am having so much with the area that has opened up afterwards.
Now all I need is to find the ultimate sword or weapons for my teammates, and I will soon have an unstoppable team once I start getting the best weapons in the game as I am so excited to build up my party.
Possibly because I rarely use them, both Nisa and Almaz lacks one common evility slot despite not being able to increase them any further at the Chara World, and being lv 9999.
Do I need to reincarnate them back to 1? Also a possible reason might be because i levelled them to 9999 using a netherworld research instead of normal battles.
Mad Rat and the girl from Yomawari. I had a suspicion the girl was gonna be DLC since they said we'd get news about a DLC character on their anniversary and I looked up every NIS's game release dates lmao.
While I'm not attached to any of the guest DLC characters and don't plan on playing their games, I really like the diversity and the fact they're all new characters we haven't seen in Disgaea. (Still haven't since this is Phantom Brave.)
I do hope we get some more familiar faces or new surprises in post game besides Laharl. So excited for this game and I'll hopefully be buying it as soon as it releases on Steam with any and all DLC cuz I'm a sucker.
Of course basically every feature in Disgaea is made with the intention of being abused, however the evil gacha is so incredibly broken that it stands out even for the standards of the series. EXP, mana, HL, stats, innocents, it basically gives you everything if you know how to break it. Do you think the developers intended to make it this way? I mean, in previous games the hospital prizes were always the most pathetic rewards of the game, and now all of a sudden it became this. Personally, I really love the gacha. It's so fun to get astronomical quantities of everything. However, I wouldn't like for it to return in a hypothetical Disgaea 8. I think it should remain a thing of Disgaea 7, as repeating it could be too much. What are your thoughts about this feature?
For a while I was doing the "Two Mothmen, Christo, Pram, Professor and Metallia "Catch 99 Carnage Asagis" to grind into stats trick.
I've been doing that so much I can pretty much do that in my sleep.
But... because the characters I am raising HP with, the rest of their stats are capped, so while they gain the permanent HP boosts. The rest of the stats are completely wasted upon use.
Then I had an idea, each Dietician innocent, maxes out at 50,000 HP.
If I just farm TONS of dietician innocents, attach the innocents to ability shards and feed them to the units I want to boost, that way might save me a lot of work, and not be wasting all of those stats.
Am I thinking right here?
Don't get me wrong, I still love this series. In fact, I'm currently playing and loving Disgaea 7 but I swear I couldn't care less about the story and characters. The first four games (haven't played 3 tbh) had extremely over the top stories and characters, with genuinely fresh and funny ideas like a F* vampire who eats sardines!!! Also there was a surprisingly solid worldbuilding which every new game expanded in some way, even the generic unics descriptions in the data shop had lore bits. Then from 5 onwards the stories suddenly became extremely predictable and tropy, as well as the characters, with 7 managing to be even worse (haven't played 6). I know the story surely isn't the selling point of the brand but it's not even so irrelevant as someone might say. I'd argue that the whacky characters and stories helped you getting immersed in the game. I've been inspired to write this post while I was responding to another post about Disgaea 2, so there are many similarities with what I wrote there, but I really wanted to go deeper, so: do you agree? Or perhaps some of you liked the characters and stories of the latest three games?
Feeling like playing a Disgaea game recently, I've beat 1 4 and 5. 5's story was super boring, 4's was good until it wasn't, and 1's was actually good the whole way through. How is this ones? I'm not expecting anything crazy ofc but does it at least rival the first games story?
I just tried to combine two incomplete gladiators specialist along with my other 6 19998 gladiators to keep trying to max ATK with Yoshitsuna on my Divine Majin but apparently you can't do that otherwise you will end up with only one gladiator maxed out.... I didn't lose too much progress but this was definitely disappointing..
So a guess i have to keep using another item to combine the gladiators and only when it's maxed i have to move it to the yoshitsuna... oh well...
Anyone else have ever lost progress in disgaea?
Just looking to walk my friend through a cycle to introduce him to disgaea. Hoping someone has a post save with all the unlocks for myself as I’ve lost my switch. Tia.
While I feel kind of guilty due to having spent all day grinding, I have been having so much fun at the same time as I just defeated Witch Marjoly, and she is an absolute beast in battle.
Then after getting her, I went back to her lair to spawn a Legendary Amano Hahakiri so that I could get the Yoshitsuna Sword, and I am slowly getting closer to obtaining one.
Now what I what to focus on is getting the Yoshi Sword, then use it against the other bonus bosses such as Adell and Rozalin, and eventually take on Baal.
However, what my largest concern is that I don’t know how high my thief must be to steal from Baal and the Item God that has the aforementioned Yoshi sword because I am dying to rob him, but I don’t know what the requirements are for a successful steal.
Can you still steal traps in Fuka Desco Show in version Complete + ?
I know it depends how far you are in post game, but I've killed Asagi and don't see any.
Do I need to restart F&D Show rather than resume it ? Cause I already cleared it. But enemy levels are buffed up, like 1500-2500 , but no traps
Ive seen videos of people reaching billions of HP in Disgaea 4 via magichange, i want to know how its done, what is the setup?
anyone knows how to get the disgaea pc soundtrack on steam? Yea it says it was only included on the deluxe dood edition and not available anymore but is there any way to get it like keys or something?
Seems to be the lowest price its ever been on steam. Always avoided this entry and I’m still on the fence about it.
I've seen several things in different places that in D4 Complete + specifically it is easier to open the Land of Carnage than in Disgaea 4 vanilla version.
Is that actually true ? Is there any actual change ?
I saw that it was on sale and was thinking about getting it, but I know pc ports of older games tend to have performance issues. So I was wondering if it had any major bugs or crashes and how easy they are to fix or deal with before getting it.
Pretty much the title. Some months ago there were big news because the complete version of Disgaea 7 came out in Japan with some balance tweaks and Asagi content. Has there been any word about this edition every coming to the west?
Im raising an invincible armor, im at floor 50, and everytime i get into the Innocent Town, the Mushroom is not there. He Should be able to appear. I entered The Innocent route exactly once at floor 5 to get a mystery Innocent (which i already got), did this removed a Bill from The item, or is this Just terrible RNG?
I bought disgaea 3 on the ps3 some days ago and I want to know. Where could I get really good weapons. I need to continue playing to get the really good weapons like swords, staffs bows etc….. Any tips for getting really good equipment? i’m in episode 2
I'm playing Disgaea 1 (AoD) and I have a question about Special Techniques. As far as I understand there are 3 types, Spells, that only Mages and Healers learn, and can be learnt by other classes through Master-Pupil; Weapon Skills, which can be learnt by anyone as long as they reach the needed aptitude lvl with each weapon; and Character Specific Skills.
My question is, does each class (apart from mages and healers) learn specific spells or skills, or all of the generics just are different skins and parameters for the same set of (weapon) skills?
