I'm looking for an Airtag case that has a thin braided cord/string type loop on it for attaching to the Airpod pro 2 case or anything else with that style eyelet hole. Rather than use an Airpod case with a built in Airtag holder.
Does such a thing exist?
Why don't they make theses damn things easier to understand?
So with numbers that high am I being tracked?
And why can't I ever locate the device? It's always out of range.
So I wanted to get some new airtags for my cats, they arrived tonight so I decided to register them, I set the airtag up and walk around the house with it, I think it's decently accurate then I set it down and sit on my couch and see it's moving by itself, it even moved to show it's out of the house when it was just on my dinner table, we hadn't put them on the cats yet. Also I watched a video about airtags to see how accurate they were and there was some bit in the video where the finding mode had some thing where it showed how close your phone was getting in feet so you could find an exact location easily. The only thing I get is the google maps birds eye view directions with a rough area the air tag is in, the same map it was moving by itself, how do I go to the mode where I track it down by the exact feet?
I’m in the process of moving into a new house. Today I used my girlfriend’s car to move some stuff from my old place to our new place. At around 11:40pm I received a notification on my phone that says “AirTag found moving with you”. I’m find my iPhone it shows my old address and my new address with a line drawn in between them.
Neither my girlfriend or I have AirTags do it couldn’t be from one of us. I cautiously checked my girlfriend’s car and inside our new house for the AirTag. Whenever I tap “Play Sound”, it says “AirTag not reachable, move around to connect.”
Should we be concerned? Does anybody have an explanation for what might be happening? Any tips on steps I should take?
I was living and house sitting/caretaking in Hawaii and I got a a few AirTags for keys and other objects that the dogs on the property liked to take off with, when I returned to the mainland I was no longer using them so I unregistered them from my iCloud account, since then I didn’t think to remove the batteries, they would make noise every once in a while and I’d ignore them, yesterday I started the process of moving states, I hired a moving company to help me load a U-Haul. I didn’t notice that I had “air tag moving with you” notification until this morning and after driving four hours the night before. The problem is I’m not sure if the movers activated my old air tags and are tracking me, or if they are just giving me notifications bc they have been with me. They are loaded in what I think is the deepest part of the truck and I can’t see or hear them, nor have the time to unload the truck and look for them. But this morning I drove and hour to see if I would get another notification and nothing, until I was another 6 hrs into my drive and stopped for gas and I got another notification saying that they were moving with me…. Not sure if I’m being stalked or if they can send out the notifications with out being registered to an iCloud account. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
I am an uber driver and I found one of these in the backseat of my car , really sus. I downloaded a couple of airtag scanner apps and they didn't work. what should I do?
I had a set of 4 AirTags but then bought 4 more for an international trip for our luggage. But now I want to repurpose them for when I’m not traveling.
I already have AirTags on my keys, my backpack, in my car, wife’s car (tied to her account), dog collar, wife’s keys (tied to her account). That’s 6.
No need for phones, tablets, laptops, since they’re already Apple products. No kids yet so no stroller or teddy bears. We both use thin wallets so don’t want to add bulk, maybe if Apple comes out with card sized ones…
We don’t ride bikes regularly. Not in a bike friendly area so they wouldn’t ever be locked in public.
I have 2 extra. What kinds of things should I stick them in?
I keep getting a notification that there is a AirTag found moving with you. When I click it it gives me the last 4 digits of the phone number and it’s literally my number. Why does this happen
Hi, i’m reaching out here because my girlfriend had the notification that an AirTag was seen with her. (we nor her family or friends own an AirTag) My girlfriend did her research and she found out that if you get this notification it’s possible that your are being tracked. She read up that it’s commonly used around stalkers or thieves/robbers to locate where you are.
She has not been able to find the tracker, because we realized to turn it off you have to locate the tracker. The police has not been of any assistance (we live in the Netherlands). Only if someone threatened her they could help.
I tried to look for solutions on this subreddit where we found some tips that could help. Sadly none of them did We tried to download the Air Guard app, (which was suggested on this subreddit) but it’s not available in our country. We also tried to see if we could find any information on the apple support website. And unfortunately nothing helped
I’m writing my messages here to seek out for any further advice and anything else we can do?
We agreed that my girlfriend is not allowed to go outside by herself and that she has to lock all her doors.
All help is appreciated.
I am getting AirTag notifications like 4-5 days apart saying an AirTag is detected or moving with me.. could it be false alarm.. I don’t own one and can’t find one around me either
What if someone took apart an airtag, and put the insides in a wallet sized card! It should be possible right? That would sell like crazy right?
So I want to send an AirTag to my bf who’s in the uk via a package which would take a full week. But I read that eventually if not connected, after some time the AirTag shuts off. How long will it take to shut off? Also when it shuts off, and comes back on will it pair to his phone or will it still remember mine? We are trying to keep up w each others location for times when our phones die etc.
Hi all,
I just purchased some AirTags. On the website of Apple it states it has precision finding as well as routes to the object.
Precision finding is working and is displayed in the “find my”-app. However, if I open the “find my”-app I can’t seem to click on a button that will make a route for me to the AirTag (in Apple Maps or Google maps). This does work for other Apple devices like my MacBook etc.
I get that precision finding is better than route to, but nevertheless I would like to have that option. Am I missing something?
Please see screenshot for explanation that “route to” button is missing: https://i.imgur.com/vEOdCEm.jpg
Guys did anyone ever ordered Airtag from China (Alibaba), and what is experience with them?
I've been using an AirTag to monitor a international household goods shipment. Worked great the first 12 days with at least six updates since it was packed up May 3rd. But two days ago it reverted back to "last seen May 3rd" listed at my home before it left. Seems like a glitch with the Apple cloud losing track of past updates and not so much a problem with the AirTag.
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
Hi, I keep an AirTag on my keys. For some reason today I got the standard “you left your keys behind” notification. But my keys were in my pocket, as was my phone. …. Just a random glitch? Anything to be concerned about? Need replacement? Not sure what to make of it.
I attached a collar with an AirTag on a stray cat that I've been feeding in hopes that it would lead me to her kittens. However, she went out of range and the location no longer updates. I drove around my neighborhood streets but somehow still couldn't seem to find it. Maybe someone else took the collar off and trashed it?
I read online that an AirTag will beep when away from it's owner for too long. I'm concerned that it's constantly beeping while attached to this cat. It's that how it works?
should i be concerned? it literally shows that it’s in or near the house but my neighbor says they don’t know anything about it. it was attached to my cats collar and im pretty sure it was picked up this afternoon as it updated at their house around 3. I knocked and asked but the lady said she never found a collar. it was too dark for me to search, so I’m gonna try going back during the daytime. It just weird as me out that it says it’s in their house if they don’t know abt it. My cat is home and safe just missing the AirTag/collar, and i enabled lost mode. Idk what to do lmao
Neither her nor I own an iphone or ipad. Would there be a way of tracing who set this up without said equipment or involving the authorities? I would like to return it to the owner personally. Perhaps an android or windows based solution? Thank you in advance
My kids went to their grandparents house this weekend and I guess someone there added the AirTag on them. Someone keeps pinging my kids AirTag. Is there a way to stop this? How can I see who is following my kid? Or was it a random person pinging them and only able to do it bc they were close? Thanks
ETA- sorry about the typo in the title 😅
I really want to use an airtag to help track my pet, but (please don't judge) I'm an android user. Is it possible to use airtags with android devices? If not, what else do I need? Apple watch, or do I need to invest in a phone? (I'm fine with having the watch for the sole purpose of tracking the airtag, but is that even possible, or does the watch also have to have an active service, or be connected to another apple device with active service?). Also, has anyone else done this already?
My wife, cat, and I all appreciate your helpful feedback.
I understand that AirTags “talk” to other Apple devices to report their location. Recently my cat ditched his collar, and with it the AirTag that was attached to it. I think he did it in the woods, but I’m unable to locate it, as I live in a rural area. If I placed a second AirTag on him, and he happened near the original, would the new AirTag be able to report the originals location?
I wanted to share my story. I bought my son a custom $400 football helmet for his birthday last year. Knowing his tendencies to lose stuff, I made him use an AirTag to track it. He tucked it between the padding and shell.
First game of the season, it goes missing. I can’t make this shit up. He’s walking the field looking for his ridiculously expensive custom helmet. He tracked it down and turns out one of the players was stealing gear from a few other kids. They recovered his helmet and the other players stolen gear. The kid got kicked off the team.
Thank god for AirTags !
Hey, so my girlfriend and I alternate taking care of our dog because of different work schedules. We live like 5 minutes away from each other so we can just walk him over/pick him up when it’s whoever’s turn. He has a collar with an Air Tag which she bought and programmed to her phone.
Basically every time I’m at home with him, a couple times a day his tag will make a chirping sound for like 10 seconds. It’s not a big deal but it does confuse him and it does sound pretty annoying. Is there anything we can do to disable it from going off?
