Hi! My phone is nearly always on silent mode. However, the last few weeks it will randomly make noise for about 30 seconds and then stop. I have no bluetooth devices connected during this time and have noticed it doesn’t really matter what app, so long as there is music/sounds in the app it will make them at random.

I googled but found nothing for Apple, just Android

Any pointers on how to fix this?

My partner has an IPhone 15 plus that suddenly shut down, we took it to a phone repair store and they said they’ll have a look for us, the repair cost went from £60 to £150 , so we have decided to take it to Apple Store even though the phone was out of warranty. Apple said they’d cover the cost repair once the part has arrived. We went to Apple today, they told us that the logic board has been replaced. I’m not sure what to do in this situation as I can’t cover the £500+ out of warranty repair, and I’m not sure how to report it to the police or even if I should report it to police. Any help would be much appreciated

Hello everyone! I’m on the lookout for a camera control case for my iPhone 16 Pro, and I’m torn between two options. After some research online, I came across the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T case. However, the main reason I’m hesitant to purchase it is its transparent design. I personally dislike transparent cases. Additionally, in my country, the Spigen case is almost the same price as the original Apple silicon case. However, some people on the internet have expressed concerns about the durability of the Apple silicon case. So, I’m seeking your advice on which of these two cases I should consider getting.

Whenever I listen to music on my AirPods, my phone interrupts the music every time I get a text and a robot tells me what the text said. It’s really annoying and I don’t know how to turn it off. Can anyone help?

Is there any way I can get rid of this email ? (I blocked it out because it's my mothers name) It's not even my email or my mothers and I even typed it into Gmail, it doesn't exist. So how did this email even get added don't you gotta verify? But my main thing I have to update apps but I need to sign into my Apple account which obviously I can't if the only account opinion it gives me is that email. Oh and I went into my settings and that email isn't there just MY actual Apple ID. This has just been very frightening because yes I know it's the wrong account... let me change it

My iPhone 15 pro randomly has a line of dead pixels going down the screen. It looks like a light saber. Not sure how it happened. I still have a limited warranty until May 2025. Would the Limited Warranty cover this? Do I just take it to Apple Store and see? Has anyone else has there limited warranty cover any of this?

I’ve noticed since iOS 18 came out that iPhone 13 is bricking hard. I know Apple slows down the olds even phones but it feels fast for them to nerf the iPhone 13 already.

Ok, so my iTunes did something weird and split one of my albums into two albums. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I removed both from my library thinking I could just redownload the album and it would be fixed.

Unfortunately, now in iTunes where the download icon would normally be it just says "purchased." I tried to look up the issue and the only solutions I found don't work; going to my Apple ID through iTunes and finding the hidden purchases option tells me that I have no hidden purchases. And going into my purchased tab actually doesn't list the album in question.

Old or new it’s grey it now gives an estimate of how long an app will take to download I think it would make sense for it to also be a time sensitive notification as well in fairness

So, I used a temp ID (rather foolishly) to create an Apple ID. I now want to use a different, permanent email to sign in. When I try to logout/factory reset, it says Apple ID is deactivated. Where do I go from here?

No idea what happened but a few days ago my iPhone just stopped recognising me so I have to use my passcode to log in instead. I haven’t changed my appearance or anything, so no idea what happened. I can’t even update my Face ID because it needs the current Face ID to update it. What do I do?

Does anyone here know how to delete pictures directly on your iphone 14 pro max without going to another folder to delete them again? Like if you delete the picture and they have to repeatedly be deleted in another section which annoys me asf. Is there any ways to delete the pictures directly without having to do a face scan in another photo map and then delete it again?

I live in Kenya and am considering buying a second hand iPhone 15 Pro here. They seem to be about 30% cheaper than in the UK which is surprising/alarming? Is there a reason for this other or are they more likely fake/full of fake components?

I'd meet the sellers in person so am able to do the iCloud/battery/face ID checks etc, but is it possible they've swapped some of the insides out or would iOS detect that?

the photo gallery’s all scrambled, emojis are massive, everything looks so ugly I hate that there are so many tabs esp when you go to your WiFi and data thing there’s so many things on there I just want to reverse it worst part is It updated in my sleep I was FORCED.

so we all know how annoying it is to see a perfectly fine picture and then when you take it it has suddenly become insanely sharpened. the standart answer is to take pictures through third party apps. but i’m curious : is there a way (aside from screenshotting) to capture the exact photo that you see before actually taking it. i’m talking about mostly the front camera by the way. the closest i have come is shooting a live photo, setting it to “bounce” and screenshotting it. burst photos lower quality heavily so i wasnt satisfied with that. any other ideas?

Hello! So recently my girlfriend has been having this issue when I text her. When I send a text it’ll appear as pictured, my phone and contact name almost as if we are in a group message when we are not it’s just a personal text. Has anyone run into this issue?

A few months ago I got a new phone number. She deleted my old one and put my new one in my contact info.

There is only one number in my contact info in her phone. There is my personal email address in her contact, I deleted that and it still shows up like this. We are unable to simply rename the group as my name because it doesn’t show up as a group message when you open up our texts, I thought that might be an easy fix to forget this was happening. iPhone is updated fully and we have reset it multiple times.

I recently transferred all the data from my old Android to my new iPhone during the initial setup using the Move to iOS app. The process took about an hour to transfer ~25 GB of general data and nearly 24 hours for 13 GB of WhatsApp data.

After the transfer was complete and the iPhone finally turned on, I noticed that WhatsApp wasn't pre-installed. So, I downloaded it manually from the App Store. However, when I signed into WhatsApp, it treated my account like a new one—none of my old chats or data were there.

Does anyone know how to recover my WhatsApp data? Any help would be appreciated!

I could really use some advice or insight on this frustrating experience. Here’s the situation:

I recently got a new phone, upgrading from a 13 Pro to a 16 Pro. Historically, I’ve avoided using iCloud for backups (though after this ordeal, I’m seriously considering making it a regular thing—do you think I should?). Over the past week, I’ve been trying to back up about 136 GB of data. To prepare, I subscribed to the 2TB iCloud plan, thinking this would make the process smooth and quick. My Wi-Fi upload speed is solid at around 25–30 Mbps, and since I work from home, the connection is stable. I figured it would take a day tops. Oh, how wrong I was.

For a whole week, iCloud backup was a mess. It would start off slow but steady (the progress bar moving along), but every single morning, I’d wake up to an error saying the backup failed, sometimes it would say due to a poor network connection. Why does this happen at night when the network should be the most stable? Avoided using the low power mode the whole time too. It’s maddening.

Finally, after several days of trying, I got the notification this morning that the backup FINALLY completed. Or so I thought.

Here’s where things get really weird: the numbers don’t make sense. iCloud now says the backup size is 20.57 GB, with the “next backup” estimated at +1.61 GB. But when I started this whole process, the backup size was supposed to be 136 GB, which is about exactly what it should be according to my calculations. Where did the rest go? Throughout the week, the backup size fluctuated wildly—starting at 136 GB, then dropping to 100 GB, then down to 70-80 GB, then back up to 100 GB, then to 117 GB last night when I plugged it in. This morning, despite showing “complete,” it’s only 20.57 GB. When I check iCloud storage analysis, it previously showed my backup taking up 100–140 GB of space, even though it wasn’t completed. Now it says it’s only using 20 GB. What’s happening here? Was the backup doing better when it was telling me that it couldn’t complete?

And here’s what confuses me the most: The backup settings on my phone clearly show that my camera roll (116 GB) is included in the backup. Yet when I check iCloud.com, there are no new photos—just the old ones that got uploaded years ago when I was still within the free 5 GB.

How the hell do I ensure all my data transfers to the new phone? I watched a YouTube video on transferring data directly from one iPhone to another, but the creator recommended doing an iCloud backup first. Will the direct transfer method actually work? The transfer screen claims it takes 15–20 minutes, but comments on the video suggest it can take 10+ hours. Given my iCloud backup experience, I’m worried this will take even longer for me. I can’t afford to have both phones out of commission for days since I need my phone for work.

If anyone has advice, experience with this, or knows what might be causing these iCloud issues, please share. I’m at my wit’s end and just want to get this done. Thanks in advance!
