Upgraded my iPhone 15 pro max to iOS 18 beta, it runs very smooth and no complaints so far. It will tell you “slow charger” if you don’t use fast charging (I personally use a 12W Apple official power adapter with usba to usbc cable). Quite funny 🤣.

Any recommendations for a good microphone? I know the in-built one is good, but I’m looking for a richer, more professional sound and there are a lot on the market. Anyone used a good mic?

My daughter’s iPhone13 got the black screen of death and our Apple Store had to ship it out to be repaired. They told us there was a decent chance they would either put the phone back to factory settings as part of the repair or just replace it with a new phone so we made sure it was backed up. They had us turn off Find My. And, fwiw we have applecare.

It’s been a week since the phone was listed “repair complete”, but no pickup offered. Calling customer service gave us conflicting info, so we went to the Apple Store to ask.

Turns out the phone never showed up at the store. Their UPS tracking shows it reached our city but was never scheduled for delivery back to the store. It’s been 12 days since we originally sent the phone and 1 week since the repair center mailed it back. And they just opened an investigation with UPS today.

My town is known for property theft. So my concern at this point is if it has been stolen from UPS, could anyone get to the data on the phone?

So does anyone know what standard process is for phone repairs? Are the odds good that Apple wiped it back to factory settings? If they didn’t is there any way the data on that phone could be compromised?

I have bought an iPhone 11 3.5 years ago, still using it, no problems. But I got it for shooting nice videos, then editing them. There was somebody who shot a short movie with iPhone 11 and that was my motivation to get it. Used it for hobby in these 3 years.

I am now not very sure how's the camera doing, I can see flaws. I sense that it's not perfect.

Would you advise me to renew and get a newer version for my shoots? I always shoot with a camera for professional stuff, but I also compliment what I have with some easy footage from the phone as well.

Do you think if I get ip13 for instance, would that make a whole lot difference? Or would you say, it's not worth the effort and money, stick with iP11 instead?

Maybe I am also not using it with the fullest potential as well, not sure about that.

my iPhone 7 does this thing where it just randomly closes itself when i'm using it. a black screen comes in with the loading animation and after a few seconds it takes me to my lockscreen. sometimes, this just keeps on repeating itself for a long time. is there any fix to this?

Hey everyone! I’ve been trying to take some photos using the macro feature on my 14ProMax.

I have settings>camera>macro control (enabled)

I’ve watched videos of people using this feature and seems that everyone enables macro, goes to capture and the phone automatically switches to macro once subject is within a couple centimeters.

My phone won’t toggle into macro, or even show the little flower toggle (should be in bottom left).

I’ve cleaned all my lenses/sensors, have done a reset on phone and followed countless tutorials to no avail. :/

Just bought a 15 pro. On calls (teams, cellular) I am getting a crackling noise through the speaker. This is also true for when I am wearing headphones or listening through the earpiece.

I have an iPhone 11pro, which is getting dated but still filling my needs for now. I was looking at options to add a MagSafe stick on ring on the inside of my OtterBox defender case for MagSafe charging.

Has anyone used the stick on magnets? Would this work? I did some research and it looks like the MagSafe works thru the otterbox defender case on the later model iPhones that came factory with MagSafe, I’m just curious about an aftermarket upgrade.

I have Iphone 6 connected to wifi with no sim card. When I connect to wifi, I can send iMessage to other iPhones, but not to android phone?

I read online that it should work, but it's not sending. The massage app has a green bar at top like it's sending in progress, but nothing happens. Also when I try to make a call, it immediately says call failed.

In the settings I noticed Imessage option is turned on, but says waiting for authentication, or gives error when I turn it on/off.

I also turned on option for Send SMS, but not working

Ideally I'd like to just use this I iphone with no service provider, only when wifi available. I also have Google voice app on my Android but the iPhone won't send to that when both are on Wi-Fi

My father and i are going to swap our phones so i want to move his data to his new phone and mine to my new phone.We both run the latest OS and we both have the standard 5gb icloud storage.I don't have any experience so i would accept any type of help,thanks in advance.

-Do we need to back up our phones as well any data we can back up?(whatsapp etc.)

If someone has blocked me on their iPhone, if I change my number, will my messages still go through to them, or when you block someone is it based on Apple ID? So essentially you would require a new Apple ID and number to message that person?

I know there are currently two options to communicate with iMessage, telephone number and email address. I'm referring specifically to the telephone number and not the email address for communication.

It looks like I have the opposite issue as most people. I want to keep my messages on my phone forever and not have them delete ever unless I do it manually. However, I want them to sync with my macbook better than they do now. All the spam texts and 1 time passcodes that I delete on my phone still show up on my macbook messages and I have to go through and delete them all over again on the macbook. annoying. So I figure if I use messages in icloud it will do a better job syncing with the macbook. However, I don't want to pay for extra storage. If I leave it set at keep messages forever on my iphone messages app settings but select keep messages for 30 days in the messages in icloud settings; will it also delete the older messages from my iphone? Or just the icloud messages?

Top bar of iPhone has a (relatively) huge notch or phill, and because of that there's not enough room to show any other information more than the time, battery, and carrier. And the camera hole also plays as divider that you can do different things by choosing the location you swipe down, like right corner for control center and top or left edge for alarm center.

I have an ios17 iphone and an ios15 iphone which is my secondary phone. i have to use different apple id-s on the phones, and also can't log in to app store/apple music coz it have to be at least ios16. is there any alternative way to access somehow to apple music?

I'm going to give my daughter (aged 9) my old iPhone so she can contact me when she's at her Dad's house, and vice versa. She's also always borrowing mine for her school apps.

Long story short;
This iPhone 14 Pro Max (USA Version) got accidentally crushed by a car lift.
Apple is refusing to replace it.

My old phone broke & my boyfriend’s brother gave me this one. He is a mechanic in California.

I am in Canada, Toronto.

He said to take it to apple (I live in Canada, phone was purchased in the USA) - and I should qualify for a brand new phone replacement.

This phone has apple car plus and theft protection actively on it.

I’ve had 4 apple employees in Toronto tell me that this phone should qualify for a replacement easy (yes I know this is simply their opinions…)
It’s been sent twice to the repair center and doesn’t qualify for a replacement as they say there is some significant crack in the back of the phone that disqualifies it from being replaced.

Ive gone to the apple yorkdale location. I have had a senior advisor and manager try to help me.

They already charged me $145.77 ($129+HST).
Nothing.

I cannot presently comfortably afford a new phone

Is there anything else anyone can recommend to do?

I can’t afford a new phone and need an iPhone for my business as a tattoo artist. The phones camera is obviously stellar and helps with promoting my portfolio in HD and close ups.
