Does anyone know if it will be open tomorrow? My family and I wanted to check it out, but we couldn't today.
Thanks!
For those of you looking for something midweek, don’t forget the Pressure Drop returns to The Raven this Wednesday for a solid Reggae Recharge. As always - NO COVER!
You may want to avoid before Auburn Mall. Car smashed to guardrail on left side. State trooper and Good Samaritans on left side of West bound trying to help. Likely delays on both sides. Hoping all will be well.
Hi everybody just letting you know that the statutory ( or default ) speed limit for most roads in Worcester is 25 mph. Enforcement will begin in January. It's nice to have time to adjust. Here is the city's web page about it.
Does Worcester have a salumeria? i dont feel like going into boston. I want cold cuts like prosciutto mortadella mozzarella and some other meats you wont find at a normal grocery store
Got some old clothes that I'd love to donate to LGBTQIA+ folks in need. Not sure if there's any around here or anywhere in MA that people may know about? Appreciate your help with this!
EDIT: Thank you very much to those that gave me recommendations - I appreciate it!!
My son is preparing to hike 20 miles as a fundraiser for his Eagle Scout project. His project is building bridges at a conservation area just outside of Worcester in West Boylston. Aside from the bridges he also hopes to bring awareness to the area, known as Blueberry Hill. Not many people know about it. It’s a one mile loop through the woods that is perfect for a quick hike at lunch, after work, or for introducing a child to hiking. It is located at 355 Goodale St in West Boylston. There is a small parking lot. The bridges will cross a drainage ditch and an area that gets muddy in the spring.
A map can be found at

If you’d like to donate to his hiking fundraiser, he has a gofundme set up or you can stop by on November 23rd when he’ll be hiking the 20 miles.
Embarrassed to ask this, but oh well.
I’m in my 20s, would there be other 20-somethings there?
I need to order a birthday cake for my Mom's 80th birthday. She does not want a traditional cake/sugary frosting cake. She would like a dense chocolate ganache kind of cake. Searching for bakeries in the area all I come up with are traditional cakes.
Any suggestions on where to get a chocolate ganache kind of cake that will be amazing for a woman turning 80?
Hey everyone, I’m looking for someone in the area who can install about 17 linear feet of cabinets for me. I have tons of prints that show exactly how they should be installed, I just did not have a pleasant experience talking the the company Lowe’s uses for installs so I’d like to go with someone local. If anyone knows someone please let me know!
We live in Shrewsbury and my son (15) is interested in taking guitar lessons. Prefers electric and he’s using one I bought a while back. I don’t play and not really sure if what’s out there. Any suggestions ? Typical 15 y/o ADHD so focus will be a key for him.
Does anyone know what Life Garden Cafe has that’s gluten free? I saw it mentioned online that they have a lot of options but can’t find a menu
I am looking to take my 5yo to dinner and looking for suggestions. I want to avoid fast food and frozen chicken tenders if possible. Her favorite breakfast place is "Family Table".
I want to go to a bar with people around my age (23) tonight.
I have cooked at home for myself and my wife very frequently for years. It's a hobby and I have a background (long ago) working as a cook in commercial kitchens. It's also economical. And even more importantly, it often tastes way better than the many mediocre meals we have had when going out around here.
Our last dinner was at Via and the tab was $150 (no booze). Very good to excellent all around. We had gift cards for it, but I would do it again sometime, or a similar level of place.
What I think we are through with is the vast mediocre middle and lower tier restaurants in town. It's shamefully easy to spend $80 on dinner for two (with no or little booze) at a 'cheaper' place and the food is not great.
Takeout spots are hit and miss as well. So much bad Chinese that is basically identical using the same products from the same distributors. Lousy Greek style pizza that somehow gets raves (Jason's for example). And it's all way expensive because inflashunnn...uh huh.
So for us it's 'fancy' or nothing from here on our and it's won't be often.
Disclaimer: Newton Square Pizza is awesome and it's an easy $20 dinner for two with a large specialty pie.
P.S. Don't call me cheap. I can afford to eat in any restaurant in town any night of the week. Perhaps I'm guilty of frugality and appreciation of value though.
I know there have been other posts in this sub, but what are all of the Mexican restaurants within about a 20, 25 minute drive from Worcester/ Shrewsbury? In a recent posts, someone was talking up Pepe's Taqueria in Tatnuck Square, but honestly, I don't think the food there is very good. Mezcal, which was downtown and then moved to a highway off-ramp also seems to be not as good as they were a couple of years ago. What other options are there (I will try any Mexican restaurant at least once) and especially what are some that people like? Open to Liester, Holden, West Boylston, Auburn, Shrewsbury, etc. I have nothing against chains.
Anyone know of a shop in the area that has a tire balance machine that can balance 33” tires?
Worcester Photographer!!! I am offering Christmas Minis tomorrow at an indoor studio in Holden, MA! 🎄❄️✨ I have 3 spots left at 10am, 10:25am and 12:30pm. Book one of these times for $150!!! Dog friendly as well! Comment if you’d like more information!
Bare with me here ... So, I am "technically" a single mother to a 9 year old. My other half is not her father and when she is misbehaving or is a bit out of control his first response is "she's not my kid , take care of it" with Christmas around the corner I am stressed to the max where I find myself crying jus thinking about it. I am in between jobs at the moment and I signed up for toys for tots but we all know, that's a hit or miss type deal. Her biological father did not celebrate birthdays , holidays etc as they did not have money growing up. I grew up in a family where we weren't rich per say but we always celebrated holidays , had birthday parties every year , the living room filled with gifts and I like to let my daughter experience what I did as a child. Every year (prior to this year obviously) I usually take a name off the "giving tree" at either the local grocery stores or churches etc .and I'm beside myself not knowing what to do . My other half gets one check a month and that only pays the bills and the incidentals to the home. I was hoping maybe someone could steer me in the right direction for some charity's kind of like toys for tots that is not too late to sign up. Or maybe even some fellow momma's who have some slightly used toys or unused even that you'd be willing to donate ? I'm desperate and even ashamed to be posting this but I don't want my daughter to wake up Christmas day and be disappointed.
Blew a tire on a massive pot hole this evening. Any recommendations for a tire shop? I’ll have my car towed there tomorrow.
Car is AWD so I’ll have to buy 4 new tires and it’s an Audi RS7 so I’ll need performance tires.
Suggestions? Thanks!
I'm sorry to ask but I can't figure this out from googling. I have a shed in bad shape in my yard, in a really inconvenient place. I want to replace it and put the new one closer to the fence. Is there a regulated distance I have to keep the shed from the fence? I can't find the zoning around a shed on the city website.
EDIT: Based on a comment here, I just called the city. For a 10x12 shed there is no permit needed and they said it needs to be 5 feet from rear and side property lines. Thanks y'all!
