I’m just a bit confused about the mail in ballot. I have been working out of state the past few months and I am coming home to vote. Can I still vote in person even if I have a mail in ballot?

We are driving north on 75 tomorrow and trying to time the traffic going north. Any suggestions on what time to avoid in the morning?

Hello! I'm a dungeon master in Bradenton, Florida looking for a player. I run the game fairly passionately, with a large painting station and 3D printer frequently printing out new monsters to battle.

I am hosting a group that meets every Saturday that is a decent chunk into a campaign - the players are level 5 and there are a decent number of plot threads that are spinning out for them to keep track of. This unfortunately means its not particularly new player friendly. To join you'll have to have played before so you're able to run a 5th level character sheet, you won't be able to learn as you level (or you can pinky promise you'll go crazy learning rules).

As far as what to expect, looking to start a campaign where the players do a decent amount of roleplay, the setting is considered in player decisions, and a good amount of the interactions are between players as well as between players and DM.

Looking for players who are:

-Adults

-Know the rules of their own character

-Looking to play most Saturdays

-Interested in roleplaying their character in big and small moments, plus or minus fun roleplay voice

-Are interested in learning the other player's characters as well, and helping them succeed

-Willing to write a short backstory for their character that might come up in gameplay (like half a page).

The setting: will be standard swords and spells fantasy set in the Forgotten Realms, the standard D&D campaign setting. The campaign story at the moment is that a demon incursion has been predicted to arrive within a year, and the player characters believe the person who told them this and are on a quest to stop it from happening.

The tone: I generally like a tone where the setting and NPCs are taken seriously, and there is an interest in developing your own characters and influencing the setting. There will be of course funny moments, and smiles should be normal at the table. Somewhere between the tone of The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.

There is also a parallel evil/goofy campaign where the players play as Bullywugs (frogs), and there are plotlines that are intersecting.

Interesting development on my mail in vote . I’ve been mailing votes since 2019 and I just got back a note that my signature on the mailed ballot doesn’t match the “recorded” signature on record. Given the simplicity of my signature and lack of change for many years, this seems highly unlikely and a possible voter suppression technique. Anyone else experience this? Thinking about calling ACLU or a media outlet on this.

Would caution against swimming our waterways for a while… We finally took the boat out after all these awful storms, only to find dead fishies all throughout the Manatee River, the ICW, and even on the south side of Jewfish Key (LBK).

I’ve seen multiple cop cars from both North Miami and South Miami police departments. They’ve been in a convoy of 3-5 cars. They’re driving around with their lights on (but not flashing). Anyone know what’s going on?

This sweet girl seems to be a lil lost and hanging around our neighborhood. We’ve called manatee humane society as well as animal control but nothing came from them yet. She seems well fed and super calm. She’s sleeping outside our house rn and it makes us so sad that we can’t do anything. DM if you have any info on her please!

Hello - we are traveling to Bradenton in a few weeks for a soccer tournament at IMG. I asked my air b&b person but they didn’t really give much info. Was checking to see how the town was looking, what’s open, what’s not? Are you even able to accommodate tourists, etc? I think we’re going to change plans and just the player and myself will go, not the rest of my family as planned. I hate to stress an already taxed area but (unfortunately) the tourney didn’t cancel and so we “have” to travel there, and I feel massive amounts of guilt over it.

Want ask for help on where to buy booster packs for the latest sets. Walmart, target and others in the area have been stripped clean most days I go.

My power turned back on 10/17 and I got internet back right away. Without any notice two days later 10/19 I am without WiFi. Every person at spectrum is saying something different. A weiner dog ran across 41 a few streets south of 64, got hit by a car, I didn't see it until it went flying. It got up and took off running North through the Racetrack parking lot on the east side of 41. The guy that hit this dog didn't even slow down after, in fact he sped up enough to make it through the light at 64. The rest of us slowed down but the dog vanished near racetrack. If you live in this area keep an eye out and please help the dog if you see it. Thanks

Everything else in the Walmart shopping center has reopened, Doesn't look like they had any hurricane damage, shop is still closed and Google says permanently, Every time I went the place was packed and it was the biggest, space wise of all the Pizza Buffets in the area - If this one is really done, Any recommendations for a good pizza buffet in town? Sad we lost Dinos and maybe this?
