Reactive dog

Hi all, new here. Where do you walk your dogs that you’re working on reactivity with? I’m looking for trails that are pretty strict about leash laws or where you’ve seen minimal off leash dogs

Thanks!

Has anyone successfully driven a car down New Hyde Park to the field with the bus stop?

Or is it still too deep?

Volunteer opportunities for hurricane clean-up

Hi, I'd really like to volunteer to help with cleaning up to debris from the hurricanes. Does anyone know where I can find these opportunities?

Cleaning up/ rebuilding

Hello everyone!

TLDR: from out of state and need help on the process of clean up and rebuilding (permits. inspection, 49% rule)

I am from out of state and need some help with how to go about cleaning up/rebuilding.

I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions related to clean up and possibly rebuilding.

I was able to catch the last hour of the townhall meeting yesterday for Pasco county and heard a few things, but they are still not clear to me. I heard that an inspection is needed in order to start any rebuilding process, is this true? How long will it take to get an inspection if this is needed. I also feel like I heard that there is even a need for a drywall permit. What other permits will be needed to rebuild? The house falls in the high risk flood zone so I am not sure what this also means if we rebuild. The house is uninsured and was a 2nd home, so what I understood from the meeting yesterday, was that FEMA will pretty much not give any sort of assistance related to the home.

Is gas available?

Hello everyone,

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I am coming from out of state to help my in-laws clean out their winter home in Port Richey. We have been told by their relator that there is no gas available in the area. I was wondering if this was true? Also if there is not a gas shortage does anyone know if there is an ethanol-free shortage as it will be needed to run our generator?

Any help for small businesses damaged during Hurricane Milton?

I work for a boarding barn that currently has 26 animals, we had 33 during the storm. We received major damage during Milton, 2 barns were damaged along with a large pavilion and roughly 10 shelters. This has got to be tens of thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, none of these structures could be insured (I don’t have the full info on this, they were permitted and to code). We’re still without power. We looking into SBA loans, but does anyone know of any grants or anything? Anyone who works on wood structures? Maybe a TECO contact? It would be nice to have the well working again.

Is there any assistance available? Thank you!

Has anyone received or know of actual assistance that's available? I just keep hearing everyone has been denied from fema and I'm not doing great. I was able to get a 12 meal pack box of MREs and some water for my family of 5 which we greatly appreciated but won't last long so I was hoping for some local assistance info. Thanks in advance. I hope this everyone is well!

Best resource for flooding updates in Zephyrhills?

My mom and inlaws both live in mobile home parks that are inaccessible due to flooding. The offices are closed, and they keep wanting to drive by and check. With gas being limited, I'm trying to give them peace of mind with some online resources, but nothing I'm finding seems up to date enough or the map lacks details.

One of the communities is Sundance if it helps.

Let me know if anyone has a good resource for flooding updates. Thanks and stay safe out there!

Any gas in NPR?

Anyone know of a gas station in New Port Richey/Port Richey areas that have gas? The Wawa on Little and Ridge has a huge line but the pumps are down and will be for hours.

If you know anywhere, please let me know. I'm debating driving up to Hernando to find some, but I can't make it there and back if I don't.

Anclote behind my house

This is probably 10 steps from my fence and about 4 feet down. The yards are built up back here but it's no joke almost 30 feet to get down to the water when the river is low. Seven Springs area.

Anyone know why the cracks in this one part of the street are bubbling?

We flooded last night and this morning the cracks in this one spot of the street are bubbling up (central Florida if it makes a difference)
