Fraud or BSA Jobs

Been watching all the sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) for fraud or BSA jobs in Tampa for multiple years. Applied dozens of times with all the big banks and any local credit union (mainly Suncoast) that has had openinings with no initial calls. Any suggestions on which financial institutions are good to work for or ones that would be open to reaching out for self-promoting?

I have a combined 7 years with credit unions and banks from one of the biggest FI's to a small/local credit union. There's not a fraud or AML/BSA case type I haven't worked. Plenty of law enforcement reporting, etc.

I can market myself well and would fit in great anywhere, just can't get anyone to reach out when I apply, if they have openings at all. I monitor all the biggest/local places we sites weekly for openings and haven't seen anything.

Also, I'm in the mid-Atlantic region, not already in FL. Just trying to get myself to Tampa for the lifestyle and to be near family in Southern FL. Would put the work in with any place just to get to the area and would deal with the good and bad of the job to at least establish myself in the region to be marketable to others.

I need help to find a job for my Vietnamese mom

Hey everyone,

I am in Tampa FL, and I need help to find a job for my mom. My mom is 61 years old, and she is healthy, and she like to be active. My mom had been working at these two Vietnamese restaurants as a kitchen staff for 10 years now, and this year she got let go because the boss cannot pay my mom anymore. She was extremely sad when she heard the bad news that she is no longer working there and staying at home atm is killing her mind, spiritual, and body. My mom doesn't speak English at all, and I am looking for a low stress job like dish washer or something else that do provide training. Part time or full time doesn't matter.

I thank you for taking your time reading this and helping my mom.

Just Transferred to MacDill AFB - Spouse Looking For Full-Time Work

Hey everyone!

My wife and I just moved from Utah to the North Tampa area last month, and she’s been working really hard to find a job.

In Utah, her experience over the last 4+ years has largely been in the mental health field, working in a Recovery Residence for individuals with Severe Mental Illness, where she was making $23 an hour. Prior to that, she was a Registered Behavioral Technician working with children.

She’s also worked at a Mechanic’s Shop, and some other part time jobs years ago.

Neither of us have been on the job market in years, so it’s been tough filtering through the ghost listings trying to find out what’s legitimate.

Thank you so much, and I look forward to being a part of the community here!

Moving to Tampa / Job Market / Recommendations

Moved to Tampa with a Temp job because Miami drove us out. I am almost certain it'll be until OEP ends in December. My partner LUCKILY has a job that's letting him work from home for the next month and we're moving this Saturday. I have been applying for 3 months and only got 2 interviews one of which was a pyramid scheme and the other one ghosted me. If anyone has any insight on what the job market is like ?? i am just trying to make $2000 a month. I have 5 years of administrative office work. (2 of those were selling insurance with a 4-40 licence but that expired back in 2022) retail experience at least 3 years , food industry/supervisor/server at a small paleta shop for 3 years. I am not above any job as long as it is not illegal, I prefer customer service, data entry and office environment but willing to go back to retail or food? i did substitute teaching as well in Broward county and just got contacted by hillsborough county schools for an interview so if anyone has any experience with the process that'd be helpful. From what I remember in Miami it was just a background test/ no drug screening , 2 days mandatory orientation class and that was it, requirements was just to have an AA.
