Hey guys, need recommendations……..
I just counted three separate crashes on the way home from Walt Disney World. I-4 was just horribly congested, even on the express lanes. It was worse than usual from all the crashes and lane closures. Are all the holiday season tourists here or is the reckless driving just even more out of control than it usually is?
Also: this is a free story idea for any local reporters out there who need a pitch Monday morning.
There used to be a game room/restaurant on the corner of 434 and 419. It is now a private school of some sort. Before the game room it was an Eckerds, then CVS. I cannot remember the name at all. One of my sons worked there for a while. I sort of remember it being named for the owner: Sam's, Bill's, Dave's, Lloyd's, something like that. TIA.
If you have nothing to do tomorrow night, come out to my Bark the halls market and holiday drive event! 🎄🐾
Shop local vendors, food trucks, and a donation drive for the participating rescues!
Event is free entry, free parking, and pet friendly!
Event info is in the event description!

Looking for recommendations for a pediatric behavior therapist and a speech therapist. We have insurance, but I am willing to pay out of pocket.
I’ve heard mixed reviews. I would be taking my 6 year-old.
Did someone get shot again? It showed up for a second as Man Down, but then disappeared but they’re still crawling the area. Any idea what’s up?
I have long, curly hair (2C/3A) and am looking for someone who can do blowouts & styling. I always end up with flat, frizzy, straight hair whenever I got to salons like Aveda for styling.
I am looking for someone, preferably a mature person, who can do smooth blowouts that still have a lot of body & movement.
All price points welcome :)
I will be flying out of MCO Terminal B on Tuesday Morning Dec 17. I should arrive at the airport at around 8am, and arrive at TSA at around 8:30ish.. at this time of year is TSA and the airport in general hellish? My flight closes the gate at 10:55am, and i believe having the whole hour of 8 and 9am should save me a lot of time.
Hey everyone!
My SO and I were thinking of taking the Brightline down to West Palm Beach on Christmas day in lieu of driving. Just wondering if anyone has any experience taking it down to for Christmas. Is it busy? Is it worth paying extra for seat selection? Are we allowed to bring carry on luggage (bringing gifts for family)?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Hi hi! I'm turning 32 in the new year and want to refresh my wardrobe to be a bit more elevated. I generally shop at Plato's and various thrift stores around town, including: Platos, Style Encore, Goodwill, Boys & Girls Club, OMG Thrift, and Avalon but these places are drowning in items designed for fast-fashion.
I would like to buy new to new-ish for some good-quality wardrobe essentials. What are some go-to's for y'all?
Saw a post earlier in the month about the parking garage situation. Has there been improvement or y’all just trying to find street parking? Message me if you don’t wanna give up your secret parking spots 😅 Thinking Uber might be more ideal cause that parking garage looked like a nightmare
My wife wants the real stuff. I can buy it online but she’s withholding kisses so I’d prefer a local place.
Edit: My MIL used to get it every year where she lived, and I know it was sold in an arrangement, ready to hang. I know it grows wild here, I see it sometimes when I’m driving. I don’t want to deal with finding it, getting permission from landowner, etc.
Update:
We went out on some errands and I spotted some in a low branch on Tuskawilla Rd. Lukas says the Boy Scouts tried selling it there in the past and it just didn’t keep long enough. We’ll see how ours does.
Trying again in hopes of finding some donation bins. 407 BLANKETS is gaining some traction and I already have my patio full of donations just from today!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Even if they're old or dirty, I can clean them up. Just need to get some bins to start sorting everything. I'm in Metrowest, but I can pick up in the Dr Phillips / I drive area or I'll be in colonial town tomorrow afternoon. TIA! 😊
Not looking for a loud DJ vibe but it doesn’t need to be super swanky either.
My birthdays coming up I’m just looking for a nice place where my girlfriend and I can get some good food and drinks.
Hey y'all, I'm still newer to Orlando and since I'm going to be alone after work this Christmas (it's ok) I'm looking for restaurants that will be open. Preferably Korean, but I'm interested in any and all information and recommendations.
New to area and looking for the best pizza delivery place in the area
Last night at about 6:15PM the Sunrail hit a black SUV at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Webster. Anyone have any update on what happened?
Does anyone happen to know if there's a Taiwanese Breakfast spot (not a bakery) in the Orlando/Kissimmee area? I know there are a few select Taiwanese restaurants and if you try googling "Taiwanese Breakfasts" they only pull up Taiwanese Bakeries, which is SUPER frustrating.
Anyway, if anyone knows of one, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!
I have Duke Energy and keep a spreadsheet to track costs. I am not enrolled in any special programs. From May through November, energy costs were pretty consistent from $0.151 to $0.157 per kWh with total costs (energy use + taxes/fees) coming in at $0.176 to $0.183 per kWh. This month was a bit of a surprise with energy costs coming in at $0.182 per kWh, a 19.7% increase. Total costs per kWh are now $0.214 per kWh.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this definitively related to costs of the recent hurricanes or is there another reason(s)?
Sleep pattern changed a few months ago and I've been waking up at 5am with no alarm most days. Almost all coffee shops open at 7pm, and public parks are closed before sunrise. Where could I go hang out?
Thank you. :)
Anyone know any good artists in Orlando/winter park that have some fun pokemon flashes for tomorrow?
🎉 Orlando Foodies, Help Me Plan an Epic Birthday Dinner! 🍽️
I’m hosting a birthday dinner and need your wisdom! Here’s the scoop:
Guest Count: I’ve invited 25 people, but RSVPs are tricky. I’m betting we’ll land between 10-15 guests (possibly as low as 5, maybe up to 20).
Budget: Looking for spots with entrees in the $15-$25 range that won’t drain anyone’s wallet.
Cuisine: We’re adventurous eaters—anything goes! From hidden gems to classy hotspots, I’m all ears.
Location: We’re staying near Lake Ivanhoe/Mills 50 and prefer to stay close. A short Uber ride is fine, but nothing too far—there will be drinks! 🍹
Vibe: Open to everything, whether it’s a sports bar with killer food or a cozy, upscale place that can handle a crowd.
The challenge: finding a restaurant that can accommodate a reservation for as few as 5 people but up to 25 if everyone shows up!
No suggestion is a bad suggestion—even if it doesn’t fit this event, I’m always looking for great dining spots for the future. Drop your go-to places below and help make this celebration unforgettable! 🎈"
Looking for Christmas gifts, and I want to do a bunch of 16oz Crowlers. Which breweries/beer bars do the 16oz options? I know a few 32oz, but looking for the smaller option so I can make my own mix pack.
I'm looking for local breweries more so than even state canned beer to support local. I know I can fall back to tons of local bottle shops, but would rather do fresh, local breweries if available.
Any recommendations?
Thanks.
Does anyone know of any place (preferably near HunterS Creek) that will do a stripe or two of semi permanent hair color on a few kids? Pink, blue or teal?
