I play futsal in Tampa but I’m curious if St Pete has any options. Not opposed to anything really whether it’s inside on a basketball court or outdoor concrete courts.
I looked through past posts but couldn’t find anything.
This company took our money when they were based in Michigan. Not to be confused with Norm's Home Repair and Remodeling out of Ponte Vedra.
I’m looking for someone who can help me determine how important it is for me to install hurricane clips and/or re-attach our roof decking to the rafters of our home. Our house is a 2-story wood framed stucco clad with flat roof and parapet wall built in the 1920s with no attic. Roofing is modified bitumen and was supposedly redone in 2016. I cut a hole in the drywall beneath and can see there are no hurricane clips. I understand that the profile of our roof design makes it less prone to damage, but I want to be prepared so that we can feel safe staying for the larger storms. Then the next question is…. What would need to be done for the structure hold up if solar panels are attached?
Thank you for any possible leads. I’ve put in a lot of time so far and the only quote I’ve received is for $4.5k for, which is more than I was hoping for.
I moved to St Pete about 3 years ago after my older brother did maybe 7 years ago. I used to live on the south side near Pinellas Point and now I’m on the north side near the fossil neighborhood. I’ve enjoyed St Pete as has my brother. There’s a ton of activities and the local vegan scene is cool.
We often have family come down, my in laws stay at the Bon Aire every year. They would go to Crabbys, Ricky T’s, John’s Pass etc. The Saturday market is always a must and buying some art from downtown.
I’ve showed them a lot of the city, Tampa, and other surrounding cities. But after sending them some pictures while cleaning up our house, the neighborhood, and the beach…they are wondering where they should be looking to buy a home now.
I’ve told them the cost of houses are high and the houses are a lot smaller compared to PA. I think there may be deals on and around the beach but I also think big buyers are grabbing that up. There’s people selling in my neighborhood but it’s a flood zone and we still have stuff on the front yard.
They’ve asked about the hood for better price opportunities. I like the 13th st neighborhood.
Other than that I still love Pinellas Point anywhere that’s not in a flood zone.
What do y’all think? Any suggestions?
Is anybody else shocked Pinellas County turned red??? 🤔
Does anyone have a recommendation for tattoo artists in the st pete area who do nature/flora and fauna designs? Just looking for something simple but want to find a good artist
Hi all,
I recently moved down to St. Petersburg. Does anybody know of any community gardens where I’d be able to meet people, have a space, and grow food?
Let me know.

Mayor Kenneth T. Welch, City leadership, and representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), Florida Division of Emergency Management, and Pinellas County will share information about financial assistance options, recovery resources and supports, and permitting and rebuilding. Why is a St Petersburg police car blocking off one lane of 22nd Ave N on Sunday mornings for the convenience of church goers at Central Christian Church? 22nd Ave N is a busy road even on Sunday mornings and having to watch out for last minute speeding lane hoppers is getting risky. This is a public road paid for by taxes, people going to that church should know they have to be careful going in and out, why put the rest of us at risk also?
Hi all,
ISO best price for live resin vape medical marijuana in St. Petersburg. I use it daily and need a sustainable solution that doesn't break the bank. Ayr has been my go-to spot, and I'm curious if there's a better product available.
Thank you!

Looking for a good tailor, specifically one who knows how to sew on military insignias. Thanks for your help!
Hi All!
My girlfriend and I are strongly considering a permanent move to St. Petersburg from Portland, Maine. We spent a few really happy months in St. Pete back during COVID and since then I've basically been trying to come up with reasons to not move there and I can't really think of any haha. I know there are loads of problems (hurricanes, etc) but we found the people to be quite nice and as someone who is an avid fisherman who loves being on the water it was literally heaven haha.
So this is bit of a sensitive and embarrassing topic but I'm wondering what the recovery "scene" is like in the area? Up here it's very strong and I've come to accept it's just something I need in my life. AA/NA meetings, sober activities, etc.
If anyone has any wisdom they'd like to share, I'd love to hear it. One thing I liked about St. Pete is that it was nothing like the Miami where it's all about partying, drinking, and everyone is trying to sell coke.
I realize this is a somewhat vague question but basically I'd love to hear any and all thoughts.
Thanks!
So we can’t be alone here …. We have been renting a house in P. Park for many years. Landlord lives on Madeira Beach and had significant property damage and had to move to an apartment for the foreseeable future. They’ve decided to end our lease with a 30 day end Nov 30. No prior communication to coming home one evening and finding the notice on door. Where are we going on short notice? We need more time to get mortgage stuff in order to even start looking at the overpriced inventory in Pinellas County. Rentals….. they’re way overpriced too and we have a service dog to consider.
I’m terrified.
We’ve been out the last few days looking at stuff I wouldn’t begin to be interested in that’s wayyyyy too beaucoup.
We have a mortgage broker starting the process…. But 3 weeks from now?
Met with landlord yesterday. Hard stop on the 30th.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any helpful advice?
Appreciate anything that may help our nightmare.
Edit/Update
There was an original signed 1 year lease. Leases here tend to revert to MTM after that original term….
The original term expired 8 years ago and has been MTM since. Benefit was rent didn’t increase ever.
We didn’t start out MTM.
Edit: claimed.
I have two tickets valid only for today, I'm sick and can't make it. It's the date night package or whatever.
Anyone want them? PM your email and they are yours.
Has anyone seen any recently? If so, where?
Whats up with the big tent at tyrone mall? Is the circus there?

I love uptown eats but what are other suggestions?
Also been loving black crow to work but they only have pastries and I could use a breakfast.
And on a sidenote - I never know what to eat at the Saturday morning market, whats your breakfast suggestion there?!
This has been a heavy week and there is a lot going on. That abortion post was a bit much but this city has always been about inclusivity.
While I don’t agree with the results of the election, I am looking forward to the bright side within it (despite the slavery/plantation) text messages.
Our town has gone through a lot recently and I’ve NEVER seen community come together as hard as we did. And still are tbh.
Let’s focus on that guys and continue to make St. Pete the best city on earth, right down to it’s citizens.
Hi I'm looking to meet new friends and I'm a huge nerd. Any nerdy places to meet people and hang out? I work kind of a weird schedule sometimes but still want to make more friends. I love video games, anime, resin crafting and halloween. Any cool, nerdy or unique places to meet like-minded people?
Has anyone rented in either of these new apartment buildings?
If so, could you please share the good and bad? I am giving serious consideration to renting at one of these locations.
I’m also wondering if wifi is fast since all the residents share wifi?
TIA!

Does anyone know about workforce housing? I saw on some apartment sites they offer it but they do not provide any information on applying. I cannot find much online explaining it either.
That’s it, that’s the question
