We are an Italian/German family that goes on vacation soon in San francisco. Do you know a sub Reddit for vacation tips / restaurants/ or maybe a San Francisco family sub Reddit? I wish you a wonderful day
😆
Hi friends, we are visiting for a week from Boston. I have an almost 2yo, 4yo, and 6yo. I would love suggestions on both low key things to do with them and high octane 😊 Museum recs are welcome but we’re also interested in focusing on doing things that really give us a flavor of your city and feel unique. Thank you so much!
I work here and was told that Netflix was filming a show so I went and checked it out. Pretty cool!!
hey everyone! was thinking of heading to ocean beach to (try to) see the aurora! anyone there atm or thinking of going soon to give me an update on the fog and visibility situation? :)
I’ve been looking for a job, but it seems so complicated to get one here in SF. I’ve applied on Indeed also walked around with my CV, but only got 2 interviews and I’d have to drive 40+ minutes to get to those places. I’m literally looking for anything, waiter, busser even dishwasher before my rent is due. If you know any places, please let me know 🙌🏾
I speak English & Portuguese fluently and advanced Spanish.
I'm looking to expand my house cleaning schedule. Do you recommend any applications that I can use to increase the number of customers? I have extensive experience in the industry, however, I don't know how to attract customers.
Walking from either Galleria hotel or Club Quarters (side note- any opinion on which hotel is best?), we plan to head through Chinatown, onto Washington Square area and Pier 39. Then we’ll have to loop back down to the hotel. We’ll have a stroller, and I’m wondering what walking route would be stroller friendly and avoid hills as much as possible as we’ve also got smaller kids walking with us. Are you going up or down hill as you head north towards Pier 39?
This is from Mt Tam. It was incredible to see. Never in my life did I think I would see this from home.
A giant (see what I did there?) pelican landed in center field and even stayed for a couple at bats and watched Ramos' diving catch about ten yards away.
hi everyone! as a college student on a budget with shoulder-length fine/thinning curly hair (2b-3a), i’ve had a bit of trouble finding any local stylists with curly hair experience who offer basic cuts without a full “curl cut” service.
(i really value the extensive schooling/experience all the more expensive hair stylists are fairly charging for, but unfortunately, i just can’t afford that level of service right now.)
i’m very long overdue for a reshaping and trim and would really appreciate any recommendations for salons/stylists charging <$100 (before tip)! i was hoping to find a service with a wash and cut, but styling after is not critical. ty in advance, and have a lovely day!!
Mother is visiting US currently for a couple months (she's on tourist visa, no green card, me a us citizen). She has a form of basic traveler's medical insurance from WorldTrips.com (excludes pre-existing conditions).
She has gastrointestinal (lack of hunger/stomach pain) and spine issues (herniated/arthritic lumbar disk) that became severe here. It may need specialist/tests/MRI etc. The doctor abroad had allowed them to travel for this visit.
Anyone got treatment using such insurance from specialists/gastrointestinal/colonoscopy/MRI/neuro-spine without huge bills?
Any inexpensive clinics/ways a parent of US citizen can get treatment?
Even with self-pay a specialist visit at good places (stanford/Pamf/sutter) requires referral and it's hard to get it on short visit.

Hello. I'm looking for a community where I can participate in Jewish life and raise my children with Jewish culture, where people who are not pro-Israel are accepted. Recently went back the synagogue where i had my bar mitzvah and many people were wearing Israel pins, and in conversations called even the mildest criticism of Israel antisemitic. Jews who were critical of Israel were called self-hating. I kept my opinion to myself but it was not a pleasant experience.
I am not looking to attack others or have arguments if they disagree, just a Jewish place where a Jewish identity is valued outside of just being pro-Israel.
PS: I'm not looking to debate anyone in the comments here, my university degree is in history and I wrote my thesis on the history of antisemitism in the US. Also I've been to Israel and the West Bank to see the situation for myself.
Has anyone run in the Chase Corporate Challenge event (scheduled for end of August) in SF? I am curious what the route is…
Yard sale on 16th and landers btwn church and Dolores st is pretty legit, San Franciscans and their peculiar tastes
Hello everyone,
Is anyone going to try and see the northern lights tonight? Does anyone have recommended spot where there's not a lot of city lights so we can possibly get a better view. I live by Ocean beach and the fog quickly took over last night unfortunately.
