Hi, i'm trying to make a list of videogames to absolutely play till the 6th gen of consoles(ps2/GameCube) I want this list to be the ultimate suggestion list for every retrogames fan, i will update this list in years to come, or at least i hope to do so. I'm doing this with the ign's app "playlist" but feel free to suggest me other methods to make this list if you think this Is not optimal.
So what Is this post for? I want your help, i'll be glad if you'll suggest me some games to add, if the game remains on the list It means that i have played It and i am sure that the game deserves to stay on the list
The games i am searching for are games that were important for innovation in their genre or important for the industry in general, games that are Just good and extremely polished on their own
Tell me what do you think of this "project" And please feel free to suggest me some methods to make the list or maybe make a double list, one with the actual "must play" games and one with the games i am planning to play and maybe add to the list. Thank you for reading
My ign playlist account: https://www.ign.com/playlist/andreahawk05p
Other than locally or ebay, are there any good retro game selling platforms? I am looking to part ways with my collection as I never play any of it anymore. Not looking to sell quick, but would like to bring attention to listing's, so I'm curious if there are better platforms out there for this.
Thanks in advance!
I am trying to find Sonic Adventures 2 for the GameCube. I know it's a long shot but I still gotta try. Thank you!
The game takes place shortly after the first two Monkey Island games. LeChu(c)k’s brother LeGek appears, and the life of Guybrush Threepwood (Gajbraš Tripvůd) is once again threatened. Gajbraš becomes a lone survivor after LeGek shipwrecks his pirate galleon. He awakens on the beach of an unknown island, and must work to find his way home, while avoiding the wrath of LeGek. Does anyone have one of these things “Retro Gameboys”? They claim it has all the games. That’s a lot of memory.
Hi, I discovered a retro Game box console. For me, as a fan of retro games, this is a great opportunity to play multiple platforms in one box. I found many versions, from g5, g10, g11, g12, g13, g13pro, game box x+. Many manufacturers offer more or less games in the same version. I understand that this depends on the memory card, but even if the size of the card matches, some sellers list 20,000 games, others up to 60,000. Is this just a marketing ploy, or are there versions from different manufacturers that really offer 60,000 games, while I understand there are a lot of games cloned, but every extra game counts. I would like to have the most games already in the base, without unnecessary downloading and saving to the library. I would also like to know how it is with the versions and with the response of the drivers or with other problems. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks for the advice Sorry for my english
Rusty Nailbender is a character from the game Loom, the 1990 adventure game developed by LucasArts. First off, apologies for no T3 last week. What can I say, I was busy with Thanksgiving prep. With that out of the way...
I'm in the mood to jam to some great music today. Share some of your favorite rocking tracks from retro games.
PLEASE INCLUDE A LINK TO THE MUSIC, IF POSSIBLE!
Whether it is chiptunes or cd-quality audio, it doesn't matter this week as long as it is rockin'! Feel free to add a bit about why you like the song, but I think this week the music will do most of the talking for us.

Hello everyone, recently I have found my dad‘s old PlayStation 1 and he had a game on there called K-1 Grand Prix 1998. There is a song on that game I’m desperately looking for and if anyone has ever played it, I would like to know if any of you know the song that plays between rounds (it sounds all orchestral and stuff) I think it’ll be near impossible for anyone to recognise it but if you do, please let me know thank you.
Does anyone else miss the good old days of video stores? There's something magical about remembering Friday afternoons, looking forward to heading down to the neighborhood video store, browsing the shelves, and picking out that perfect movie or game for the weekend.
I remember walking down the aisles, reading the cover blurbs, asking the clerk for recommendations, and finally holding that treasure in the form of a ribbon or cartridge. It was an experience that went far beyond simply watching a movie or playing a game. It was about expectation, exploration and, of course, tips and exchanging experiences with friends and family.
Today, with streaming and digital downloads, we have gained practicality, but we have lost some of that magic and ritual that made each choice so special.
And you? Do you have any special memories of video stores? What was the first movie or game you rented that left an impression on you?
Let's share these memories and relive some of that nostalgia together
If you're a fan of the original Maniac Mansion, this 3D remake brings the familiar story and characters into a new perspective. You’ll see the old characters in 3D, and the environments have been reworked with more modern graphics. As a fan-made game, it offers a fun glimpse of what fans can do when they have a passion for a classic. The effort put into translating the original mechanics and feel of the game into 3D is recommendable.
The game looks really mint and it's about 25 bucks under market value right now, I've never played road rage but I like the Simpsons, is this a good deal?
Grim Fandango deals with Mexican folklore, specifically the Day of the Dead and the traditional belief that a person must journey four long years through the Land of the Dead to get to her final resting place, unless she led a very good life. The story weaved through this tradition is fantastic. It evokes a film noir feel, with some similaries to Casablanca, especially in year two. Peter McConnell’s score is one of LucasArts’ best, which is saying something, as most of their games have had exceptional music. https://youtu.be/0cgwnlYW0Bw
Can someone add achievements to the game? That would be cool for old classic.
I just finished playing this childhood game on the Nintendo Switch, it was better than in my memory (partly because now I get the jokes, and partly because I could finally make it). But in my memory, there was a plot where you had to win this trinket from a pig in a card game in de cafetaria. I just finished the story, but didn’t get that part.
When I read about it on the internet, it says that version is called the “white water path”. You should be able to do this when you see two boats at the dock (but I only see one). Is there a way I can play this version too?
The story in Escape from Monkey Island was generally seen as weaker than those of earlier games in the series. The plot centers around Guybrush Threepwood trying to stop a mysterious villain named Ozzie Mandrake, but many felt it lacked the same sense of adventure, mystery, and cleverness found in the previous titles. The inclusion of the new antagonist, Ozzie, and the introduction of the "Monkey Kombat" minigame were also seen as less compelling than the memorable villains and storylines of earlier installments, like LeChuck. https://youtu.be/9TkkabvfLp0
Sure, you don't have to do it. But if you're like me, you want to look under every rock, and smell every rose. Today we'll be discussing the best non-required content in retro games.
NO LISTS! Tell us why you enjoyed this content!
What is it about this optional content you enjoy so much? Did you receive some overpowered items from doing it? Maybe the side content really added to the story? Or are you just a masochist who really enjoys the challenge of an optional superboss? Whatever the reason, let us know!

From Bernard Bernoulli, the nerdy protagonist, to the eccentric Dr. Fred and the evil, yet goofy, Purple Tentacle, the game is full of charming characters that have stayed memorable for fans. The voice acting was excellent for its time, bringing these quirky characters to life.In essence, "Day of the Tentacle" combined excellent writing, innovative gameplay, memorable characters, and stunning design into a cohesive package, earning it a reputation as one of the greatest adventure games of all time.
So basically im trying to find other websites for retro games besides dkoldies, lukie games and eBay. I came across another online store called cavegamers. They seem legit just trying to make sure. Has anyone here bought from them?
Escape just didn't have the overall feel of the other three games and seemed to deviate so far from the original appeal of the series. It left an unfortunate end to the series for a number of years, and overall I felt slightly disappointed in this title. But I still enjoyed Escape from Monkey Island quite a bit. Maybe not the parrot puzzle...

If you want to get some bang for your gaming buck, having multiple endings in a game (usually requiring many playthroughs) is definitely one way to get your money's worth. Now, for the sake of simplicity, we'll only be discussing games that have multiple distinct endings - no games with a good ending/you-missed-one-small-item-early-in-the-game bad ending type of deal (though perhaps that'll be a topic for another T3).
NO LISTS! Tell us why you like these games!
Obviously, we'll be discussing game endings here this week, so use spoiler tags as you deem necessary. So what was it about these games with multiple endings that you enjoyed? The challenge of another playthrough? Did one ending particularly resonate with you? Did you just want to see all the endings to have bragging rights? Whatever the reason, let us know!
