We'll focus on games that are for gaming consoles that are a generation behind the current generation of systems and older.
Systems that are not allowed on /r/RetroGaming will be allowed in here.
This subreddit is reddit's home for Nostalgic gaming. It's all good here as long as it's gaming from the 90s (or after).
No Spam. It's perfectly okay to post your YouTube video, blog, or kickstarter here. Your content is welcome. (No live streams, though.) However, we ask that your self promotional content not be more than around 10 percent of your total posts. For more information please Reddit's self-promotion rules here.
Nostalgia Games only. /r/NostaligaGaming is for posts about nostalgic gaming: The main focus will be games that are on the go back 2 generations. So, currently examples would be: Xbox 360 and Xbox, Playstation 3 and 2, GameCube, and Dreamcast.
Don't be a dick. Remember that there's a human on the other end of the screen. Adhere to reddiquette and all reddit site-wide rules. Maintain civility at all times.
No Live Streams. Reddit is a link aggregation service at its core. It preserves content and information. Because live streams expire, they are not examples of good content for this subreddit and are not allowed.
No Illegal Content It shouldn't have to be said, but posts about ROM/Disc Image sites are not allowed. We all know they're out there, we all know how to find them. There is no need to post about it here.

Pokemon XD is my favorite Pokemon game. I seriously want them to remake it. Even if they only remake Colosseum I'll take it.
I’ve done everything I could but I can’t find it anywheres, I’ve watched videos, I’ve searched everything but I can’t find it. It was a point and click flash game, you were a tiny clay man traversing your way around our wold. I specifically remember using pencils as ladders to make your way down filing cabinets but that’s really all I remember. I need to know if anyone else remembers this game. Please help me Reddit.
Just played the first game for the first time. I am very new to the franchise and I must say the game is so much fun. Very funny and fun digging through evidence. Just did Episode 1.
I managed to get through the trial but showed Larry the wrong thing at the end.
Just finished FEAR on the Xbox 360 and absolutely loved it. I just started the second one and was wondering what y'all think of the game, and if there are any games like it? This was sadly a franchise I didn't play as a kid so I'm just discovering it now
I remember when I got a PlayStation in the mid 90’s and one of the first games I got was a bumper car game and the aim of the game was to bump the opponents out of the arena. All I can remember is there was a sumo character. I know I’m not giving you much to work on but can anyone help?
When i was young (around 2008-2010) i had a PC that had some sort of game service. I know we also had wildtangent, but it might have been something else. There were 5 games I had on that pc. I don't even remember if the games i'm looking for are dedicated to wildtangent or not, but they were 4 breakout clones plus one game where you solved jigsaw puzzles.
Of the breakout clones, 2 were futuristic themed (very common among breakout games, i know) and one of the futuristic ones had a progression where you went through different countries. the other one was more typical. One had 3d graphics from a somewhat tilted view that was somewhat pinball esque. I believe it also featured countries as levels. One (the one i remember the least about) was i think ancient temple themed.
I built a place but i cannot find it now
I placed a bookstore but how do i find it now?
How do I make it so the top screen is on the TV and the bottom screen is on the controller? It hurts the experience if both screens are on each.
This probably isn't a new thing but it's fairly new to me as I'm on the "younger" side (I'm 20 years old lol)
But I notice when hearing music from games from my childhood, specifically Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy 7, persona 4 and Super Mario Galaxy (some of those games are really before my time but my cousin made sure I was raised on them ahaha), I get very emotional and tear up. I think it's because I associate a lot with those games, and other than being really solid games, just simply thinking about them brings me way back. I wanted to know if anyone else here has felt this.
I mention this now because earlier today I heard a music club at my university perform the title screen theme from ocarina of time while doing college work (calculus and computer science), and I just got very emotional just hearing it. In fact, as a classical musician myself, I even downloaded the score and played it on the piano as soon as I got the chance and got even more emotional. Idk if it's just me being weird. But I haven't really felt this way about a piece of media all too much before.
