Console asked me to join PS plus, but when I checked website it shows that I have several months remaining. I restarted my system, checked network and inbox but no luck... Any suggestions?
I played it yesterday during my 12 hour shift. Finished in 6 hours. Highly recommend.
You play as a radio host trying to prevent people from getting murdered.
They call into the show you find clues to give them to solve a problem that'll save their lives.
Everyone can die. No one can die. The choice is yours.
I just finished FF7:Rebirth and clocked in 150 hours. I was looking for something new on PS Plus and this game was highly recommended to me by a couple of buddies. The thing is, I just finished an enormous RPG and I'm not sure I want to drop another 100+ hours into another RPG. FF7: Rebirth took me 5 months to get through the 150 hours so I would need another 5 months or so it seems like to get through Witcher 3 during which time it could be taken off the PS Plus library as well. Should I play something else first or will this game hook me enough for me to not get burnt out? How does it compare to FF7: Rebirth? I adored the combat in that game and the character interactions, and the open world activities were a lot of fun for the most part.
Last year at Christmas I played Ghost of Tsushima and really enjoyed it. I'm looking for a big, long game like that on PS+ Extra. If I can't find anything I'll just buy something but I figured I'd check out the games I'm already paying for first. I got a few on my own and was disappointed so I'm turning to you fine Reddit friends.
Traditionally I've been an old-school JRPG guy. Started on PS1 era Final Fantasy and I've liked all the modern ones as well. I enjoy a good open world game. I recently replayed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and really enjoyed it. I just got GTA V and was not impressed. I tried Final Fantasy Type-0 as well and didn't like it.
I've played and enjoyed all the Assassin's Creed games up to Syndicate (multiple times). I enjoyed Origins as well but it was different. Odyssey and Valhalla weren't for me at all.
I like all the Marvel's Spider-Man games.
Dragon Quest XI, NieR Replicant, Alan Wake, Little Nightmares 1 and 2, Child of Light, What Remains of Edith Finch, Stray, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Ni No Kuni 1 and 2, Metal Gear 1 to 4, Tony Hawk, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, all of Kingdom Hearts except Chain of Memories. These are all games I enjoyed.
Games I'm thinking of getting (on PS5 or Switch) if I don't find anything on PS+ are FFXVI, FFVII Rebrith, AC Mirage, Live a Live, Octopath Traveller, Triangle Strategy, FFI - VI Pixel Remaster.
I know there are a ton of good games that are right up my alley on PS+ Extra but I think I'm overwhelmed by the choices and mildly frustrated (irrationally) that the games I want aren't on there! Heheheh
Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations for me! Thanks everyone. =)
Hey everyone,
I recently upgraded to PS Plus Premium and started downloading games from the Game Catalog. One thing I don’t quite understand is why these games are added to my purchase history (marked as $0.00 transactions) and to my game library as if I actually own them. I get that these games are technically “rented” as part of the subscription, not purchased.
Here’s where I’m confused: I know that if a game is removed from the Game Catalog, I won’t be able to play it anymore. But does it also disappear from my personal library at that point, or does it stay there permanently, just locked and unplayable?
It feels a bit strange to have them treated like owned games in my library when the access is temporary. Why not handle them more like games shared from another account, which don’t show up in my library at all but are playable while the conditions allow it?
Would love to hear if anyone else has thought about this or has a better understanding of how it works. Thanks!
PS4. I'm looking for a game to play while walking on the treadmill for 30-60 min at a time. i need something easy to follow without audio, dont need to follow text super closely, not big on story, and no complex puzzles.
i was trying one of the uncharted games, but struggled immediately when i didn't realize i was supposed to follow someone. there were no quest markers telling me where to go. i like to play some puzzle games, but i watch lets plays to solve ones i get stuck on so those are out. maybe something linear where it's intuitive what i need to do.
i played granblue fantasy relink which was great. i could spend time grinding or going through new bosses or item management.
So I bought PSPremium ($10 more off BF. Whatevs). But I still get them spamming me to upgrade my level to premium.
When I click to see the offers. It shows I’m currently on premium and to pick which tier to upgrade to. Then it says I have premium until dec 1st 2025.
wtf? I do have stream on my account. But why does the shop keep bothering me to upgrade? [edit] forgot to add that I did sign out and back in. Reboot Ps5/power down and back up. Same stuff.
So my ps plus subscription expired the other day and I was going to renew it for 3 months, I just chose the plan but did not complete the payment, and now it shows I have to renew my subscription 3 months later and I am able to access all ps plus games.
I didn't complete the purchase and it couldn't renewed on its own as it's a different plan,so is it a glitch?? Or is it cuz I saw a post saying that you get free ps plus for a week and after the week is over it will expire cuz it shows that next payment date is 3 months later I am very confused, after ps purchases i usually recieve an email but didn't get it this time I might need to check my bank statements
How this works:
We make two stickies. One for people who are upset with the PS+ games and one for people who are happy with them. These threads don't affect anything else in sub so you can still praise and complain as normal outside them. (Previous Threads)
Please keep the discussion in this thread related to dissatisfaction with this month's lineup.

I played the game the gardens between and it was a really fun game to platinum and I would like to know if there is any good games on ps plus that are similar and can be completed in 1 walk through
I'm looking for a game that is great but isn't super popular like bloodborne or last of us, because I most likely played it already lol. Anything come to mind? It can be modern or one of the classics.
Today, I looked through the PlayStation 30th anniversary sale and I saw that they had legend of the dragoon and it was free for me. It's a PS5 version and I remember that I have bought the pS1 version a while back, I think on the pS3 or 4 or the Vita, and I saw that now this 2024 game or whatever is free. It happened to me a few times. My question is, is there a list of games that were inactive to download but now available for free download. Or would I have to go thru all my purchases and check the ps store to see if it's free?
Feels like I'm buying something else. Why?
I just recently got a PS5 and PS+ to get rewards for different games. I purchased the Overwatch free rewards but when I opened the game and logged into my account, I didn't see the skins. Do I need to download something or do I just have to wait? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Probably a frequently asked question, but I never owned a PS3, 2, or 1, so I'm not in the loop with these older games as the oldest PlayStation I had was a PS4, but even that I was late to the party with (I have a PS5 now, don't worry). So I'm just curious on what are the best games (ideally with trophy support) that are on the Classics catalog. Also, using premium, how is streaming some of these games on the Classics catalog? Laggy? Or not really? My Internet is pretty good, so I don't know if that is really an issue. I only got it because my dad said I should play Oddworld Abes Oddysee. Thank you if you do end up responding! I'm not a good judge with these games, so I dunno.
I'm not looking for remote play, but rather game streaming on my home network, but streaming from Sony's servers. It's surprisingly tough to find this info.
Are there any devices that offer this beyond PS4, PS5, and PS Portal?
I want to be honest with you. I totally forgot to write this. LOL, I'm so sorry everyone. It was right after my midterm week and I was trying to finish Judgment!(Still not done) But here we are again and well, there are some things that will break hearts this month. But not a lot thankfully. I am already late, very late, so let's get started.
Resident Evil 2(Added 12 Months Ago)
This is definitely leaving. It's Capcom and Capcom always does 1 year deals with PS Plus. RE7 left Extra 1 year later too. If I was a betting man, I would bet on this. And if you haven't played it yet, what have you been doing with your life? This is one of the best remakes of all time and it's either my favorite or second favorite RE game. Between 7 and 2, both are just brilliant. Play this game and play it now. Thankfully it's not very long as well, story completion takes around 10-12 hours. Completionists are looking at 30-35 hours.
Lego City Undercover(Added 12 Months Ago)
This will be a very good test for the coming months to see if Lego games leaves or not. I only found out about Lego Harry Potter Collection that left the service which was added back at the launch of the service and left in around 11-12 months. 2024 brought us a bunch of Lego games into the service so again, I will be closely following whether or not leaves. I think it might and that would be a shame because it's a really good Lego game. You play as a cop and find yourself in crazy situations. It's the closest thing to a Lego GTA you will get for a long time probably and I highly recommend it. Has local co-op too, no online. Great family game. 15 hour story, 50 hours for completionists.
Life is Strange + Life is Strange: Before the Storm(Added 24 Months Ago)
It's clear that Square Enix loved 2 year deals. Kingdom Hearts games left at 2 years, Dragon Quest left at 2 years so why not Life is Strange as well? I played both but don't remember Before the Storm a lot to be honest. First one though, very good game. If you love Telltale's games or interactive movies in general, you should definitely check out Life is Strange. BTS is a prequel but you should play the original first. They are short games, episodic, choice based even if they don't matter much, but I still really enjoy this genre. These are the original versions of these games by the way, not Remastered Collection versions.
Just Cause 4: Reloaded(Added 24 Months Ago)
Yet again, Square Enix and a 2 year anniversary on the service. Just Cause games offer some fun for some hours but the amount of both depends on the person playing it. They are filled with content but obviously they are repetitive. It's your job to use your creativity to make them more interesting for yourself. Just Cause 3 was added 12 months ago by the way so Square might pull both of these games. I played 3, didn't play 4. But both critic and user scores says 3 is the better game. So, maybe not try 4 at all? Play it until it leaves and then play 3? Don't play at all? Your choice.
NOT Likely to Leave: Remnant II and Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion(Added 6 Months Ago)
Just like I mentioned the biggest game that got added 6 months ago in the previous post(Monster Hunter Rise), I am doing the same thing for this month as well. But I don't think they are leaving. Remnant II has some DLC so why would they take it out just now? They are also not a AAA title. While Square Enix probably doesn't want to upset themselves with yet another disappointment regarding FF game sales. XVI and VII Rebirth are probably enough. Jokes aside, I don't think they are taking it out. All FF games left but VII Remake stayed. Because Sony has a deal with them about FFVII. But I still wanted to mention these so that if you don't have anything else to play, you can check these out.
Indie Suggestions(Added 12 Months Ago)
I hope you liked these the last month, I am continuing these. Both of these are added 12 months ago. And I picked two niche, different genres. Hope you find something you can like and if you enjoy the game a lot, maybe consider buying it to own it forever and support the devs!
Are you missing the good old days of skating games? Well, Activision doesn't seem to be bringing Tony Hawk back after the remake and Skate is coming, someday. Hopefully. But until those, maybe Session: Skate Sim can help your appetite for these type of games. It's reviews are unfortunately not that good and I haven't played it because I don't understand this genre to be honest but it's free with your subscription so why not give it a chance if you like the genre.
Are you missing the good old days of Commandos and Desperados? Well, this is the same intro. Anyway, maybe check out Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. It's a modern take on the Commandos/Desperados formula and it got some great reviews. I am very interested in this game as well, it looks really good. Definitely take a look at this, at least watch some gameplay.
Final Thoughts
That's it for this month. Thanks for the breather guys. RE2 is the biggest game here with Lego and Life is Strange my next picks for you to try. Definitely take a look at both those indie games as well and other than that, enjoy the end of the year! Also, happy 30th anniversary to PlayStation. If you're here, reading this post, you are probably a huge fan. Which console was your first entry into this world? And which console has been your favorite? Let's share those in the comments. For me, it was PS2. As for the favorite, probably PS4. Some very good games. And that whole announcement craziness. The 399, how you can share your games ad, unforgettable PS moments.
One final shout to Shuhei Yoshida then, speking of that ad. He is a very important figure in the PS history and it's really sad to see him go. But thanks Yoshida-san for everything you've done to this brand. And I hope you still stick together with us on social media. Now here are the lists for 12 months and 24 months ago, all games that are still on the service. Premium classic titles not included. None of them left yet. Have fun everyone, see you in like 2 weeks for the next post.

People keep shitting on Dying Light 2. I mean the story is dumb and the protagonist is a a moron, but that was true of the first one too. The game part of it is a lot of fun, if a little too hard at the start (once again, like the first one, which people liked.) The parkour is still good, the movement feels good, combat feels frantic but still has things you can do. Why do people hate this game so much? Was it just bad when it was first released and they fixed it up after release?
So I recently made my partner play An Artful Escape, and that seemed to be easy enough for her to learn the game and play it since it just had a jump button and moving around. Can anyone please suggest other indie/ or any other game available currently on PS Extra catalogue for her to play?
Her go to game type is non-violent, relaxing games (she loves flying on the broom in Hogwarts legacy)
Thanks everyone in advance!
Hey everyone! I just picked up a PS5 after taking a break from gaming for around 10 years, and I'm really excited about diving back in. I used to love playing Call of Duty multiplayer games, but I’m not too thrilled with the latest releases. I’m curious, which older COD games still have a solid community on PlayStation Plus? Also, if you have any recommendations for similar games that also have a strong presence on PlayStation Plus, I’d love to hear them! Thanks!
I am looking for short games or games to play in short sessions (going from A to B, or specifically doing a certain mission) so nothing like sandboxes for example. I know in sandboxes one could choose to do Just a simple task, but I'd like to have tasks told to me by mission menu/maps.
I absolutely love open world games, and I've played almost all the big ones and I already have some to play (cyperpunk above all) so I'd like something different.
If It can help, this Summer I adored Sea of stars (and cult of the lamb, but the latter was too stressful for what I'm searching now) so even smth like that can work.
Thank you all for the help, I add that I have extra subscription, so preferrably something from the catalogue or from past months essential.(EU)
