How to Vote in Pennsylvania!

The Time to Vote is Here!

Here’s what you need to know:

1.	Polling Hours: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you’re in line by 8 p.m., you are entitled to vote.

2.	Voter Registration: The deadline to register for this election was October 21, 2024. If you’re not registered, you won’t be able to vote in this election.
3.	Identification Requirements:
•	First-Time Voters: If you’re voting for the first time at your polling place, bring an acceptable ID. Acceptable forms include:
•	Pennsylvania driver’s license or PennDOT ID card
•	U.S. passport
•	Military, student, or employee ID
•	Voter registration card
•	Current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government check with your name and address
•	Any ID issued by the Commonwealth or federal government

4.	Mail-In Ballots: If you have a mail-in or absentee ballot, it must be received by your county election office by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Delivering it yourself ensures it will arrive on time.

See you at the polls!

Solar Panel system reccomendations?

Hi!

Recently moved to Lebo and was wondering what the "real-world" experience was like getting Solar installed here. For anyone that's gotten solar installed, I'd love to know:

  • Who did you use, and would you recommend?
  • Anyone you would suggest to specifically avoid?
  • How's the process of net-metering with DLC? How does TOU rates impact stuff?
  • What was the process like dealing with Lebo/DLC in permitting and approvals? Any tips?
  • Any other tips/suggestions/warnings?

thanks in advance!!

Hit and run in Mt Lebo today-any witnesses

I was going straight on Scott Road towards West Liberty and a lady in a red sedan pulled out right into my car when she pulled out from Broadmoor around 12;30 today. She didn't stop and caused severe damage. Any witnesses?

Mt Lebanon family history & ancestry

Hello everyone!

I’m a genealogist & I am trained in discovering local Pennsylvania family lineages and stories through vital records, census records, and newspapers.

This is the interest form I put together for anyone interested in learning more about their personal Pennsylvania family history. I create family trees, ancestral maps, and historical road trip itineraries based on YOUR personal family history! It’s a great way to connect with your heritage and wonderful knowledge pass down to future generations.

LINK TO INTEREST FORM: Family History Interest Form

Here are some things you can discover from my research:

  • Newspaper articles about your ancestors (Crime? Scandal? Who knows!)
  • Custom ancestral mapping showing your approximate ethnic admixture
  • Most common causes of death in your family history
  • United States migration mapping showing how your ancestors migrated throughout the country
  • Your great-great-great grandparents’ names
  • Most popular professions and careers in your family history
  • Photographs of your ancestors you have never seen before (Found in Newspaper archives, I have subscriptions to several newspaper websites)

I have a degree in Anthropology and have spent several years working for a professional genealogy company. I have been working as an individual genealogist for about 6 years. If you have any questions about my research, please fill out an interest form or email: heritagehuntersgenealogy@gmail.com

For those of you with ancestry outside of Pennsylvania, please send me a message. I’d be happy to help you or direct you to a better suited genealogist. Thanks!

What’s it like living my Mt. Lebanon?

Thanks for reading. My wife and I have been looking into moving up to Mt. Lebanon for a while now and we were interested in your thoughts. The area seems amazing (schools, parks etc) but I’ve seen some less than ideal reports about the air quality. Does it affect the quality of life there, are there days when people just don’t go outside? Does everyone have asthma 😂(exaggerating)?

Thanks.

We are accepting mod applications! No experience required

I’m trying to grow this subreddit after creating it while I was still a student at Mt. Lebo High School about 8 years ago and then completely ignoring it. We have about 161 members, so I think it’s about time to get this thing going.

Mod applications will be open for as long as it takes to get a team together. Message the mods (aka me) if you have any questions. Go Lebo!

Access the application here | https://forms.gle/udgCjzcNAwY6Tw2H6

Is anybody down to take care of a baby dove?

It looks to be around three or four days old. Found on ground. The other day I put it in a nest on my window sill hoping the parents might find it but brought it in last night since it was cold. I'm leaving town today and really hoping I don't have to bring a bird. I can provide a heating pad and baby oatmeal!

Community Danger

Hi everyone, first I want to say I recently moved to this lovely town, my name is Karol and I have a 4-year-old daughter who I love deeply, we were recently at the Mount Lebanon park which I love and we looked over to the stone walls, there were some teenagers jumping around on them playing music! they were doing very dangerous activities that were a horrible influence on my little darling, I walked up to them and asked them what they were doing, they said it was called "parcour", a quote unquote sport where you jump and climb urban obstacles. It was very disrespectful and dangerous so I told them to get down, they said it was a public playground and it was in their rights to do it, I asked them twice more until they went to the other side of the par and continued doing it! this is a very horrible thing that they are doing. I looked it up and apparently, people trespass while doing this sport! Some have even died, does anyone know how to ban this so-called sport from this town, I have seen them 7 times since the first encounter and they never listen, we have to stop these delinquents now!

Any companies in or near Mt. Lebo for software engineers?

As I posted in r/pittsburgh: I'm originally from Beechview and moved to DC for college. I work in that area as a software engineer (10 years experience.) I make 220k a year. Experience in PMing and product development. I want to return home for a lot of reasons (elderly relatives and missing the considerably safe urban environment.) I know I'm going to take a paycut. Any suggestions on companies to work for in the Mt. Lebanon region that pay programmers well? I'd want to send my kids to that school district.

May election

Does anyone know where I can get information as to inform myself when I vote next month. The library gave me a list of politicians that had the end of their term limits and said I could look up those whose terms ended this year. Have any of you been getting better info that you could pass on to me. I tried the League of Women Voters last week but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Do any of you have documents or know of any issues that I could use to inform myself. I want to make my vote count!
