In central Phoenix. As title says, looking for recommendations. Have slight arthritis in the hands/fingers and looking for some relief without ingesting any THC/CBD, would much rather apply it.
Thank you!
Hi all,
My fiancé needs to get her wedding dress steamed before our wedding on the 10th. She’s hesitant to do it herself and thinks a professional is the best option. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone in the Phoenix area?
Y’all, if you’re going to order delivery tonight, please let us delivery drivers know if your road is blocked off. It sucks to get to your road only to realize it’s blocked off for trick or treaters, and we have to walk half a mile to drop off your pizza.
We spend $70 this year and we were out within 90 minutes… how much did everyone else spend?!

I have not moved an inch in 10 minutes and it doesn’t say anything about a crash or closures so I don’t know what’s causing the holdup
Hey there! I am currently living in Florida, but due to the recent hurricanes my life has been utterly destroyed here. I work as a server and live in a tourist area. I'm traumatized by the weather here- 5 hurricanes and two ruined cars and simply can't do another year here. I am trying to run out my lease before I move to Phoenix. I lived in Tucson for 15 years and I'm very familiar with that area, but I have chosen phoenix because I do not own a car now and would rather live in an area with decent transportation options I am pretty sure downtown is where I need to look but over the next months I'd be thrilled to collect any information and advice there is to give to make this move successful.
Oh, and I will need to find work but as long as I can get around reasonably well, I won't have a problem doing that- I'm a really good server, bartender and reluctant but effective manager. Any ideas in this regard as far as where to live, best areas for work and how to tie them all together without a car would be amazing
Thank you in advance!!
I'm planning on putting in some work w/ charities this holiday season, but I'm unsure as to which ones will benefit the most from my labor/small $ donations. I'm not opposed to helping church-backed charities, but I kind of feel like they already have a congregation for labor and tithing, and also don't pay taxes on their monies, so my efforts might be better off put elsewhere. I tend to favor charities that help survivors of DA/SA, Veterans, and the un-sheltered. Food banks, etc are also on my short list.
What charities have YOU helped that you feel are doing good things for those less fortunate in our community?
Not sure what is going on with you guys but this year I had 5 cold/fevers.
February, May, June, August-September and October.
I gotten at least 4 colds a year ever since 2021.
This was the worst year since I had a cold that last nearly two months only to follow by another one last week.
Blood tests came out fine. No asthma or heart murmurs. I’m always at home especially during the long stretch of heat this year, work in a cubicle far from others, I do take vitamin D pills since I’m indoors a lot. I have two air purifiers, overkill I know.
Do you guys think it’s the air quality, I always see the warning on the weather app. I avoid taking a certain stairwell
Im 21 years old and in college, not really a big drinker and quite frankly don’t even know what to do tonight. I miss when Halloween was exciting, but now I quite frankly just get sad on Halloween. Y’all got any cool haunted houses or festivals you know about to attend tn?
Anyone planning on going to the airport today should plan accordingly. Traffic is at a complete stand still and backed up big time. I guess the current VP is coming to town right now. It’s a crap shoot
I remember pre covid prices in the $30 range. Getting free tickets for a test drive or give aways by sponsors but $125 for Friday and Saturday is crazy but people coming in from out of town will pay it. Probably a way to price out the trouble makers
Hi! Where is your favorite place to tick or treat! I’m looking to impress my little sister lol
I will be in Phoenix for 5 days, and looking for recommendations for few 2-3 hour afternoons hikes and two longer 6-10 mile hikes ( peaks with views will be great)
Also, any recommendations for good cafe which serve single origin coffee will be helpful as well.
Thank you in advance
ANy good spots that serve lebanese food?
I live near Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater and just drove by. The parking lot seemed full of cars and there were a lot of cops, and Encanto is closed pretty much from 83rd ave to 75th ave? Anyone know what's up?
Looking for spots to play cornhole. I’m here for the winter and just enjoy throwing bags.
I know there are a lot of threads on here for recomendations but adding one more :)
Anyone have recomendations for restaurants that are both :
Thanks

Messed up and neglected to get pumpkins before Halloween. Does anyone know where to get one short nervous or does anyone have an extra one to sell?
So I am one of the few British people who didnt grow up eating Indian food as part of my diet. I do want to try some but feel a buffet would be my best introduction so I could sample a number of items with minimal waste if I dont like something.
That being said, does anyone have any recommendations for a place that would have a good introductory buffet for me to try in the valley? Im up in Peoria but would travel for the right one.
TIA!
Oh and I should mention, Im really not into hot things - Id be the kind who would order his Mexican food off the kids menu if I could.
I've googled and googled... Lots of results but every place I look at the menu and they don't actually have it? Don't ask why a guy from Vancouver BC decides to try and get that dish here but I've got my mind set. Would greatly appreciate any tips!
My grandparents are visiting this weekend and taking me out for my birthday. Usually finding something to do with them isn’t hard but my grandmother has had some health issues the last couple of years that has left her with some limitations. I want to do something with them that she’ll get to participate in and enjoy as well. We usually go to the museums but I noticed on their last trip, it required a bit too much energy for her and she sat in the cafe most of the time. She’s being really adamant about me finding an activity and not just going out to lunch.
I want to be able to spend time with both of my grandparents. Any suggestions for things to do that would be inclusive for people with some physical limitations would be greatly appreciated, things we used to do like hikes and museums are a no go.
Does anyone know what time trick or treating starts in Verrado (buckeye) this year? Thank you!
Firstly, I’m from the uk. I was travelling today in Paradise Valley and saw a motorcycle cop on the side of the road (my side). I was in the lane closest to him (the slow lane?) but was definitely travelling over the 45 limit. I was probably doing about 55. The truck in front of me was also going over the limit and his braking actually alerted me to the officer on his bike with the speed gun. Some questions please:
if a police officer has a gun like this, is he storing lots and lots of violations and then sending them all out to the respective addresses as speeding tickets? Or is he just waiting for someone to come past at 80+ (for example) that he can then follow and issue a ticket in person?
if the former, then I presume a ticket would just be sent to the car hire company who would then send it to me at my UK address?
in the UK, speed guns like this are generally pointed at the fast lane because (obviously) that’s where the faster cars are going. I know this question is a stupid one given every incident is different to the next but what do you think the chances are that I got pinged travelling in the slower lane?
Sorry for any stupid questions and also the fairly broad range of expertise I am asking for! Thanks!
I don't mean on the side of the road. I mean seen them happen. Insane.
Phoenix really needs to invest in a better public transportation system. There's no reason why we can't have something that runs from north phoenix to south or east to west right?
