Tons of coyotes faithful showed up. Even heard howling. Felt nice. But sad. Great game though
Ducks fan here but overall hockey fan. Miss the Yotes
I've come up with a theory as to what happened to the Arizona Coyotes goal horn after they left Glendale.
The Arizona Coyotes used a Kahlenberg Q3 as their goal horn in Glendale since they moved there in 2003. They played their last game there in the spring of 2022. Then, in the fall of 2023, the Detroit Red Wings debuted their "new" goal horn, which is (you guessed it) a Kahlenberg Q3.
Now, the goal horn in Detroit sounds more like the Florida Panther's goal horn, which makes sense because the Florida Panthers ALSO use a Kahlenberg Q3. Also, the acoustics of the arena do, in fact, have something to do with the overall tone of a goal horn, and the layout of Little Ceasars Arena is more similar to FLA Live Arena.
Additionally, the Kahlenberg Q3 CAN BE TUNED to sound different. The Chicago Blackhawks started the goal horn tradition with a Kahlenberg Q3 (which they still use today) dangling from the jumbotron. The Sabers liked the idea so much that they decided to follow suit and get a Kahlenberg Q3 of their own; however, they TUNED IT to sound different.
So, the fact that Detroit got their Kahlenberg Q3 a year after the Yotes stopped using theirs, AND the fact that a Kahlenberg Q3 can sound different thanks to arena acoustics, AND the fact that a Kahlenberg Q3 goal horn can also be tuned to sound different leads me to believe that the Arizona Coyotes' old goal horn was bought by the Detroit Red Wings, where it now sits in the rafters of Little Ceasars Arena.
After all the Red Wings have done to the Coyotes, I hope more than anything that my theory is wrong, but it is probable.
If anyone knows what actually happened to the Coyotes' goal horn, please tell us.
Also, if you can disprove my theory, please do because the thought of our old goal horn now being used for a team that beat us so many times makes me sick.
(Edit: A large source of my research came from N2B Goal Horns' video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccelUnUP93E&t=833s&ab_channel=N2BGoalHorns )
It’s way too warm so I never wear it but I don’t want to take my chances with just donating it. I’d rather it move on to another fan who will enjoy it.
I have a dog who sheds like a long haired cat so it’s freshly laundered but expect to find a few hairs. 🙂
ISlide brand size L/XL
Very generous fit.
I will meet you at the Fry’s in Rita Ranch area of Tucson or you can pay $15 for shipping through PayPal.
I’m curious how attendance and fan support seems to be this season after news that AM intends to eventually move the team. Anyone have a sense for how things are going?
So positive vibes only: I'm curious. I'm an East Coast fan (NJ!) so I genuinely never got a great feel about location of stadiums in AZ. I know it was important and we all know the catchphrase for the golden rules of real estate: location, location, location.
My hypothetical question is this:
Where would you build a new stadium if you were able to buyout/knock down any current structure and place a NHL stadium/arena in Phoenix (or subsection) and why?
No price is too great. No obstructions from local government. Just you with unlimited resources and a good idea.
Goal: For any outsider to understand the local area (including myself) to grasp what works, what doesn't, and to have a little fun on this Friday. Debates are welcome. Keep it civil as always.
Thanks. Awoooooooo!!
Wore my Yotes lacer hoodie. Someone patted me on the shoulder and said “I miss them too”. Whoever you are you’re a legend. Made my night

Like in title, I know a lot of their inventory depends on location, but just wanted to throw this out there.
My first pack of these and was not expecting to see the Yotes inside.
Just was curious what everyone else thought would be the likely scenario for the teams return. I've had a couple in mind.
Ishbia does a renovation similar to what is proposed in Utah or he gets a new state of the art arena built. I'm sure he sees the Intuit dome and would love to have an arena to rival what the Clippers have. He then starts the working on getting the NHL back to the Phoenix market.
Some one from out of the blue decides to bring back the NHL with temporary (or even long term) agreement with Glendale to be anchor tenant as the Desert Diamond Arena. Banking on growth in the area and freeway upgrades to smooth over any concerns about location with the NHL.
Nick Sakiewitz leads a team to buy the Johnson-Stewart Materials gravel pit and constructs a multipurpose facility for future MLS and NHL teams. This is, in my opinion, the least likely of the scenarios I have thought of.
This dude st8 pissed
to hear the sound of an Aw Aw Awhooooooo announced overva stadium PA system. Anytime I see a goal scored on TV, that is the sound I hear in my head.
