Does anyone know of any good and affordable car rental services near NAU? I need to rent a car for my road test and would like to drive it at least once before the test, since it’s been over a year since I last drove a manual.
Also, if anyone has any advice or info about the road test at the Flagstaff DMV, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!
Has anyone taken Myers for PHY 112? I checked out his rate my professor but I didn’t see any for 112–trying to see if people’s experiences with this course are comparable to how people felt about his others (bad). Any insight is appreciated!
Hello, I am not an education major but I am an English major. I want to get some education in teaching. Can I take an education class? And which should I take? I want to get into teaching English as a second language.
Why did they get rid of the shakes at burger confusion. I know I'm not imagining it cuz I've had one before and it was super good. I know it's super late to be saying this but I miss them :,(.
anyone fw anime? there aint no clubs for it anymore ong
Hi all! I’m considering applying to a graduate program at NAU. For fellow out of state grad students — We’re you able to get a GA/tuition waiver/substantial scholarship funding? My home state has relatively expensive tuition, so while NAU would only be a few grand more per year, I would still love to hear about your experiences. Thank you!!
How lenient is NAU with institutional excuses due to religious absences? If anyone has any insight on the process specifically for religious purposes
Was wondering what the average WiFi speed/ethernet (if rooms have Ethernet) is, I do a lot of gaming in my free time and will be calling from different countries (US to UK) I’m an international student researching about flagstaff Arizona uni but can’t find much on the internet speeds for students
What are the pros and cons of going to college at NAU? I've been touring colleges in my home state which I don't plan to go but it made me think of what NAU has to offer for college students and if there's any big or small pros and cons other than Flagstaff bring pretty expensive?
I know this isn't exactly the right place, but I need answers. Is Flagstaff a safe area for non-republicans??? if not I'm not sure what I'll do
Im thinking of going to flagstaff Arizona as an exchange student but I need to have my own room due to my autism. What are the chances I will be able to get one after submitting the application
TL;DR: register properly and actually plan ahead to vote
As I was working the election this evening, I was shocked by the amount of provisional ballots from the NAU polling location. If you don't know, provisional ballots are what you get if you do not show on the voter rolls at the polls. For students, this usually means you are not registered at all in Arizona, or not registered in Coconino county. These ballots are only counted if you are already registered to vote in Coconino county by the deadline in October.
There were hundreds of provisional ballots just from this one location, close to none will be counted because of reasons above. The county elections department and multiple non-profits were on campus for months before the registration deadline; next time, if you want your vote to count plan ahead and learn how the election process works.
Apologies for this half PSA and rant. I am available to assist people in registering and providing more information on this topic. Just message me.
Does anyone know if incense sticks are banned or not?
For anyone who didn't vote early, today is the day folks. It's a tight race, make your voice heard.
For anyone who is already registered but unsure where their polling location is, you can find it by looking up your address (easiest) or voting precinct here: Arizona Dashboard
If you know your precinct you can find the polling location on this list: In Person Voting | Coconino
Bring your ID, dress warm, and make any travel arrangements if needed. If you have questions or hesitations that are keeping you from voting, ask here and the community may be able to help you.
Here is some additional information on valid ID you must have to vote.
Acceptable forms of identification with photograph, name, and address of the elector — if the address on the ID does NOT match the address in the Signature Roster, the voter must vote a regular provisional ballot and does NOT have to return. OR, SEE LIST #3.
An identification is "valid" unless it can be determined on its face that it has expired.
Acceptable forms of identification without a photograph that bear the name and address of the elector — if the address on the ID does NOT match the address in the Signature Roster, the voter must vote a regular provisional ballot and does NOT have to return.
I applied to NAU housing application the day it came out in October. I have not gotten a form to select room preference. Does anybody know if I was supposed to have those questions in the initial application or can someone just explain how that works?
Hi! It will only take 2 minutes! Please, college students, fill out this survey for my high school brother’s research project.

I'll be a sophomore next year (currently living in honors) and I filled out my housing application within an hour or so after it opened. I want to live in Calderon mostly because it's more central campus and closer to the Union, but Gabaldon is a second choice for me. The floor plans are super similar for these 2 and I'd honestly be okay with either but I wanted to ask two questions about them:
I have already gotten into NAU and done my housing for next year, but I want to know when I can apply to live in the Calderon suite style rooms. Does anyone know a date or if it is already open?
My kid received an offer to attend this school but we haven’t decided yet.
However, I’m seeing that dorm selection for next year is happening now. I’ve never been through this process before but I do know that whatever school they attend they’ll live in the dorms for the first year.
Do dorms usually fill up? How much time do we have?
Thank you,
A lost parent
Hi, I'm from a community college thinking of transferring. Just wondering if you can share options how you finance your tuition? I'm an international student so I'm considered out of state for tuition.
Did you apply for scholarships in advance? Is work at NAU campus generally available for student workers? How is the social life like? Is the clubs welcoming and easy to make friends? Sorry for the many questions. Thank you! 😊
Hello! I’m looking for a female to take over my lease at The Suites for the Spring of 2025 semester because I have an internship elsewhere. The room style is a two-bedroom, shared-bath private bedroom. For those unfamiliar with The Suites, you have your bedroom and only share a bathroom with one person, so you have a lot of privacy. This is my third year living at The Suites, so I have an excellent renewal rate of $794 per month, and I am allowed to pass this rate on to someone if they take over my lease. This is a great deal because the monthly rate for this bedroom style is $1,029 a month in the Spring 2025 semester. The lease will be from mid-December to the beginning of May. My current roommate will be staying, and of the three years I have lived here, she is the best roommate I have had. She is clean in our shared bathroom, quiet, and respectful. So, if you want to save $235 a month for a private bedroom, please PM me, and we can work out the details. Thank you! :)
How frequently does the parking ticket car/cars check each parking lot?
*For main SBS building - not sure about SBS West
Police informed us. Buses are delayed due to fire department vehicles stopping in bus stop.
Edit: clear
Does anyone know or have experience breaking a campus living contract. Long story short my single rooms has had problems since I first moved in a couple months ago. First it was a ant infestation that didnt get fixed till week 8 and now a pipe leak has caused my wall to get severely water damaged. Matience will only show up maybe 20% of the time I call. Theres no other rooms on campus to move in to so I just wanted to see how possible it would be to break the lease and just move off campus.
Hi! Im looking for someone to take over my Yugo central lease starting in dec/ Jan. Rent is $939 and utilities are $20. The least goes until July 31st with options to renew.
Yugo central is a 5 min walk to north campus and the room is right next to the trash and exercise room. There are 3 very sweet and clean roommates. You get your own bathroom and bedroom.
Let me know if you’re interested! Girls only
I applied through NAU a while ago, and recently got the email of 'offering me a place in [the] reowned 2NAU program through our Universal Admissions network [...]'. Recieving this email is confusing to me as it seems like a program acceptance letter, but also seems like an advertisement. Does this mean my application was denied, but i was offered a place into the program? If so, what are those leading facotrs that can lead this to happen?
Who runs the student markets here at NAU? I would like to participate in it
i was wondering about the waitlist. i enrolled for mat 121 at the only time that would work for me and i’m waitlisted. i’m currently 11 on the waitlist and was wondering how likely it would be for me to get the class! it’s important to add that mat 121 is requirement for my major.
