Me and my roommate (both afab and soon-to-be sophomores) are looking for two other people to live in Pine Ridge or McKay next school year. If you’re interested, shoot me a private message for more details! :)
Hello!
Me and my friend (and friends brother) were looking into cheap but decent apartments near NAU. We saw Fremont to be the most affordable and convenient option but i’ve heard mixed reviews about it.
We aren’t looking for anything super fancy or perfect, but something that is decent enough to live by. Any recommendations or first hand experiences will be incredibly helpful!!
Also, any tips on what to bring (we are from southern AZ!), what to learn, or general tips will also be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all!!
Hello, I'm an incoming freshman in the fall, I was just curious about the gaming community on campus. I know there's the esports team (but I'm not the best at gaming I just enjoy gaming) is there any non-super-competitive communities I would be able to join or have a peak at? (I'm a huge val nerd).
i had cobrizo for the first time since may and the burritos are super small and it doesn't taste as good as it used to :( what happened?
anyone want 2 $10 leon thomas ticket? something came up and now I am unable to attend :(
I'm going up there in the fall and I need to find someplace to do dance since nau doesn't offer any dance classes :( Does anyone know of a good place that has 18+ classes?
Hi y’all,
I know this is super random but I’m just curious, is the enrollment down this semester? I just graduated last fall, but still have to make trips through the school and even during class passing times the school just feels kinda.. empty lol.
Hey! I’m an incoming freshman in fall, and I’m also an overthinker when it comes to big changes. I work at a bookstore, and I have for almost 2 years, and I want to have a job while in college. What sort of bookish jobs are around? Is there anywhere specific I should look at? I’m visiting the area soon and I’ll be able to see what it’s all like, but I want to get a good feel for everything before hand. I know I have quite a bit and have zero idea what things will be like, but I enjoy thinking about it :D Thanka!
I'm writing an article on predatory towing practices here. Let me know if you or anyone else you know has had a negative or positive experience with a towing company (voluntary or involuntary towing) and are willing to be interviewed. Article will include full names, so only if you're comfortable with that. PM me or comment and we can set something up :)
(I'm not 100% sure this kind of question is allowed in the sub, so if not that's fine lol)
Hello, so I made a misunderstanding on the rules in a syllabus and didn't have my homework prepared today to turn in. I am allowed to turn it in late I was told. But I only have 2 thinks in the grade book graded. So I have an F right now. Is it early enough that I can raise it? There will be graded things every week. Kinda worried. Don't want to withdraw or whatever.
I recently got a guitar and have no experience, I was told some classes require an audition so I dont believe I could do those. Is there anywhere else near or on campus I could get lessons?
This morning went to check Canvas, only to be met with a message that "This site can't be reached." I tried logging in on my phone as well, same result. Every other NAU affiliated site seems to be down as well, including Louie, the Cline Library, etc. I have no problem getting on reddit, youtube, or anywhere else, so is every online NAU resource just broken or is it just me?
Hey guys! I’m contemplating going to Northern Arizona University for PA school. this would be a big change for me. Curious if anyone went/ is in this program. If so, how was your experience? How was the curriculum? Did they offer students support?ho were clinical’s? I appreciate any advice given. Thank you!
I was accepted to the compressed BSN at the North Valley campus, I'm just hoping to get in touch with someone who has started the program, just have some questions!
Anybody willing to go with me to watch “The Conversation” which will be playing in the Cline Auditorium @ 7 PM? I’m into watching a lot of movies and don’t want to go alone lol
I graduated from HS In 2021 and just applied to NAU about a week ago lol. I didn’t know what I wanted to go to school for when I graduated so why waste the money right! Now the issue is I graduated with a 1.4 gpa…. Ikr awful. Has anyone had experience going through the feeder program from the Coconino community college into NAU? I feel like that’s the route they’re going to have me take as ASU said the same thing.
I’m an incoming freshmen at NAU for the fall and initially I was going to do the honors college for the dorms but after talking to some of my friends who go there they said it can get pretty like isolating from the rest of the campus. I was just curious if it’s worth doing for the dorm upgrade to be honest.
So, who is actually sleeping with this alarm at gabaldon?
Hi!
I am an aspiring student that has recieved Lumberjack Scholars Award and I was wondering If it would still be in my possession if I was to take a gap year? I am a first generation college student with no one to ask for help so Ive turned here hoping for answers.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
Payroll typically goes through on Wednesdays for federal work study jobs, but I wasn’t payed today, so I went to double check that my hours were approved but Louie doesn’t seem to be loading at all. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just a me thing?
I order a book for class and literally they keep coming at shity times and not being able to deliver it. 2 times already.
Anyone know of any local restaurants or coffee shops hiring?
The Suites
Hey everyone!
I’m looking for two roommates to fill a spot in a suite-style setup at The Suites. Here are the details: • Room Setup: One room with a bunk bed and a single bed. • Bathroom: Shared, one bathroom between the 3 of us. • Ideal Roommates: Queer/trans individuals who are minimalist, clean, and chill. • Lifestyle: I smoke weed (only in appropriate areas) and would appreciate roommates who are okay with that.
A bit about me: I’m trans, goth/alternative, and a psychology major with a minor in queer and gender studies. I’m laid-back but like to keep the space clean and organized. I enjoy dark humor, open communication, and building a comfortable living environment.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, shoot me a message! Let’s chat to see if we’d vibe.
Hi I'm an English major and last semester the professors would give us info for these events but my current professors haven't. I would like to know if there are any?
I was at NAU years ago on the north side of campus. It’s just past the liberal arts building, near the chemistry building.
There were always tons of large black birds. Were those crows or ravens?
so my roommate is currently in discreet math (mat 226) and is considering moving to mathematical reasoning. if anyone here has taken it or is taking it, what are your thoughts on it?
Hey everyone, I'm a senior living in Phoenix right now and am debating between UOFA, ASU, and NAU regarding which college to go to. I've already gotten into all three colleges and their Honors Colleges for their BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program. I'm also trying to get into medical school after and I was wondering which college would be good for that.
Right now I'm kind of leaning toward UOFA because they have an established medical school there and an early assurance program where I can apply earlier to the medical school since I'm in the Honors College (HEAP if you're curious). They also have the 19th-ranked BSN program in the country so that doesn't hurt. When I toured the college last January I really liked the campus, but the only negative I see is living in Tuscon. Not the biggest fan of the city, cause it's pretty dirty and there's nothing to do outside the college.
ASU would be my second choice, would be at the Downtown campus cause that's where their nursing department is. Obviously, a lot more stuff to do in Phoenix, but the only thing that would suck is that I would kind of be disconnected from the rest of the campus in Tempe. They're also planning to open a medical school in 2026, but could not find out if there would be an early assurance program for them. I'm guessing that ASU would have a lot more opportunities for internships than the other two colleges, and it would be the closest location-wise.
And then there is NAU. I toured up there in September, and I loved the campus. Flagstaff as a city is really nice, but I don't know if I could see myself living up there for 4 years, as there's not thing much to do except skiing, which is a big plus for me. They too are planning to open a medical school in 2028, but I'm sure there would be a limited amount of opportunities if I want medical experience early.
Dorming wise I have friends going to all three colleges. But any input or experiences would help a ton. Thanks in advance!!!
Hello! I am hoping to find some roommates for the 2025-26 academic year, or even just some like minded friends. I am 24, female, majoring in biomedical sciences, and I’ll be graduating spring 2026. In my free time I love to cook, crochet, read, and spend time with friends whether that be binging a tv show together or just hanging out. I am not a partier, I never smoke but I will have a drink or two from time to time. If interested dm me :)
