Hello,
I have the old $300 AT&T prepaid plan (16GB monthly data with rollover and Canada/México roaming). I'm currently in Western Australia and have a local eSIM. I'm using an iPhone 16 pro.
I'm running my AT&T SIM as secondary here. Voice calls (both inbound and outbound) work fine over IMS (wi-fi and data from local SIM), but inbound SMS doesn't (both from AT&T's email to SMS gateway as well as MFA codes from financial service providers). Network selection on the AT&T SIM only shows Australian network providers (I wonder if it's trying to use one of those for mobile network roaming, which I obviously don't want).
Any suggestions on things I can try to get this working?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Looking to get a burner android and thinking of the A15 as an option.
Is the Straight Talk deal for 45$ (1st month plan) the best out there?
Thank you folks 🙏🏻
Currently on my wife’s T-Mobile plan. I just went through the plan details. Unlimited 5g data, unlimited talk/text, unlimited 3g hotspot. She currently has 6 lines for $195. It’s an older plan that I don’t think exists anymore. If we split off of this plan and just pay for the 2 of us, it seems to be more expensive no matter what we pick. Not sure if I’m missing something but is there any plan out there that costs $33/person including taxes with all of the above benefits?
I am looking for 4 lines and interested in updating my phones. What are your experiences with both? Which has better phone deals when it is time to update! Thanks!
Looking for reasonably priced plans for a att locked phone. It has the eSIM support thing, if that helps.
Hi,
I'm looking to move to AT&T's Prepaid Annual Plan ($300 for 16GB/mo). Could someone please share the steps to activate the plan using AT&T prepaid cards bought from Target?
I'm using eSIM on my iPhone with a different carrier. Do I need to buy a physical AT&T Prepaid sim from Walmart/Target?
Anyone have a contact at H2OWireless. They use a site called www.boltconfig.com download a profile and it is down.
Anyone have a contact that can investigate this issue?
I’ve had some issues with boostmobile and I’m looking to change plans. What are my options for quick and smooth transition? I pay $35/month now for 10GB data
I’d upgrade to a $60 unlimited data plan but for some reason it’s not giving me that option.
So, I purchased the Pixel 9 on Black Friday for $299, like many others. I am already on a one-year plan with my own phone that I brought in so I just purchased it online with out getting another plan. However I like my current phone and don’t intend to use the Pixel except as a burner phone on another phone plan after 60 days.
However, upon receiving the Pixel today, I noticed that it requires activation within 45 days. Is there a way to bypass this requirement? Will I be able to use the Pixel without activating it on Mint Mobile? Additionally, will I be able to get it unlocked after the 60-day period?
Not that it matters too much, but does Mobile X have access to Ultra wideband? In north Texas since I've switched I have not seen it on my A35 5G.
I'm just looking for clarification if I need to fix something on my end. I do have 5G.
Looking for the most affordable wireless unlimited plan for my son any cyber Monday deals going on.
So far there haven't been any issues whatsoever on my OnePlus 12, it's performing how prioritized Verizon does around here.
This is a pretty good value plan, especially if you don't want to deal with Total or Visible's nonsense. My monthly is showing as $26.95 going forward. The plan shows 199GB on the app but it's supposed to be truly unlimited (albeit with a fair use policy so 199GB is surely a safe bet but I wouldn't recommend it to people who need a lot more than that). 10GB of hotspot, 480p streaming (YouTube streams at 4K60 with HDR for me but a Netflix Fast test is around 1.8Mbps).
I will say that this is only the second time I've seen working VVM on my OnePlus 12. The other being US Mobile Dark Star.
Hi there, I’m swapping from Verizon and was going to switch to US Mobile due to their direct tethering with no speed throttle (very important to me, I travel a lot) however, I see the deal with Totalwireless. Do you know if they throttle/how it is? Thanks!
Hey trying to figure out what would be the best phone plane, for a good price, that has unlimited talk and text and unlimited data?
My prepaid term on a Verizon MNVO was coming to an end. I decided to port out my number to T-Mobile. That port out failed. T-Mobile never really explained why it failed but they said they released the port hold. The Verizon MNVO said that it was successfully ported out to T-Mobile and thus they no longer have access to that number. They closed my account and say they no longer have any access to that number. I can no longer log into my account. When asking for a password reset it comes back saying the email and number are invalid.
The problem is that the service is still active. I thought it would end when the prepaid plan expired. It didn't. I'd hope that maybe it would not renew at the start of the month. That's today. It's still working. I don't want to get a bill for this service that I explicitly did not renew. Autorenew was turned off. I've tried contacting the Verizon MNVO and T-Mobile about this multiple times. The Verizon MNVO says the number is no longer active in their system and denies they are providing service. T-Mobile has said that it canceled the port hold so they don't have it either. All I know is that I'm still getting service from Verizon.
What can I do now? Did the number revert to Verizon because of the port failure? Do I try to contact them? I don't want to be possibly billed for the service still being on.
I had been getting my refill cards from Sam's Club to get a few bucks off. I see they are no longer available. I'm wondering if this coinsided with the T-Mobile kiosks moving in? Any place offering a bit of a discount on refill cards besides eBay?
I'm fairly certain that I cannot go directly from an AT&T postpaid plan directly to the $300 annual AT&T prepaid plan and that I need to port out my postpaid number first. Is there a certain amount of time that the number needs to be away from AT&T before I can port it in? Or can I activate the prepaid plan with a random number, port my postpaid number out (say to Tello or NumberBarn), then port that number back immediately? Or do I need to wait 30-60 days?
Thanks for the guidance!
I just saw this article about Boost Australia being sold. Wondering if MobileX is next?
https://www.lightreading.com/wireless/telstra-snaps-up-boost-australia-for-94m
This article says Peter is going to focus on MobileX exclusively now
I'm trying to sign up for the BYOD under a new account. During the compatibility check I was asked whether I wanted to keep my number or get a new one. I chose to keep mine, entered the number, and requested that a text message be sent on the next page. However, keep getting an error message after your and am unable to complete the process.
Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening or how I could possibly fix it? I've exhausted my own ideas. Could i sign up with a new number and then request to have my old one transfered one service begins? I'm just worried that I might lose the 50% discount.
It may be worth noting that the number I submitted for transfer is not attached to the phone connected to the IMEI I entered.
I want to keep my second phone number but do not want to pay $15-40 monthly. Is there a cheap plan like monthly $5 so that I can keep my phone number?
I am the owner of a 6 person At&t prepaid "business" plan. My CC gets charged every month for the plan. Me and one other member plan on porting out for greener pastures (and we can no longer change plans).
At&t paygonline web site is about as basic as it can get and provides no way to select a new owner of the account. I am trying to avoid calling CS since At&t seems to farm out their prepaid CS reps to the least competent overseas folks. Any advice on how to do this.
What are the best actual smartphones options up to 250€$ that can be bought - best deal; Price vs performance vs camera?
I'm searching for a new phone. Already searched and got some ideas, but want to know other options and opinions
Will the unlocked edge 24 work with any carrier?
My Motorola edge 2024 unlocks on December 15. Will I be able to trade it in to itsworthmore as unlocked? I'm just worried because some idiot in the comments say the firmware on these phones only allows it to work on Verizon, even unlocked. But others say they had it working on T-Mobile and att no problem. Who has experience with this? I need to trade in my edge for 142 to make up for buying a moto razor.
I'm American. I travel to Quebec 3-4 times a month.
I am on T-Mobile and it's been working great. I have free data and calling and text.
HOWEVER, I have had a lot of family/friends/coworkers tell me they can't call a US number without incurring charges.
I want to get a second (Canadian) number on my phone (I have multiple eSIM, no issue there).
What carrier can I get on that has WiFi calling?
I do NOT want VoIP. I want a real number on a real carrier.
Does that exist?
TL;DR
No Contract (I understand this is the sub, but I also don't mind contract plans under $20/month)
Gives a Quebec number
Has WiFi Calling (so I can call them using this number when I'm back in the US)
not voip
were restructuring our family plan as kids get older, I have a pretty broken iPhone 13, but looking to get a good switch and save deal. Currently on AT&Ts most expensive deal I think. I don't usually use over 50 GB a month of cellular and don't need the best coverage. But I would like a cheaper plan and new phone. What should I do?
I have their home internet service and it's been very reliable.
They're offering $830 in bill credits over two years for a phone that I'm buying someone for Christmas anyway, which essentially makes this a completely free unlimited plan.
Though I don't want anything for free if the service itself is bad. So how is the service? Supposedly they're in the non-deprioritized tier? What about voice calls and messaging? Any issues?
Is it true that you get automatically bounced to any open Cox wifi hot spot if it's in range? I saw something about this on Reddit, but not sure if it's just a rumor.
Unless there are some other red flags that I need to be aware of (besides Cox being Cox) I'd be willing to give them a shot.
eSIM Adapters let you use eSIMs in phones that only have physical SIM slots.
jmp: https://jmp.chat/esim-adapter . Can be swapped between devices. No limit on the number of profiles. $31.99 plus $5 shipping to U.S.. They sell a USB adapter in case you need to program the eSIM card outside the phone, but a compatibility check can determine whether or not this is necessary. MEP (Multiple Embedded Profiles) status unknown.
5ber: https://esim.5ber.com/order . Can be swapped between devices. $22.50, including shipping (use promo code "5ber") for unlimited eSIM profile downloads. Supports MEP (Multiple Embedded Profiles) on phones that support eUICC (Android 14 or greater). This is the least expensive adapter. There is no option to use an external eSIM programming device.
esim.me: https://esim.me . Various options. Doesn't support MEP (Multiple Embedded Profiles).
9eSIM https://www.9esim.com $31.10 with coupon code "9ber" including shipping and the optional eSIM programming device in case your phone can't write directly to the eSIM adapter. MEP (Multiple Embedded Profiles) status unknown.
In some cases you can have two active eSIM profiles at the same time, while using a single eSIM adapter: "For devices running Android 13 or higher, Android supports multiple enabled profiles (MEPs) for eUICC. This feature allows devices to have dual SIM support using a single eSIM chip, which can have multiple SIM profiles and can connect to two different carriers at the same time."
There is an upside to this in that you could have a U.S. eSIM active and use "Wi-Fi" calling using data from a data-only travel eSIM. However of course you can't have a U.S. eSIM and purchase a region-specific or country-specific foreign physical SIM, which is what many travelers like to do in order to minimize the cost of foreign data. A data-only travel eSIM is likely to cost at least $2/GB of data.
I’m paying $162 per month for unlimited data and 2 iPhone 14’s. I still owe about $500 on each phone. AT&T’s coverage is ok in my area. Verizon seems better and T-Mobile is not so great. What are my best options? I know that I will need to pay off the phones. It’s not important to have the latest and greatest, but I work in a school - we use iPads and MacBooks, so I’d like to stick with iPhone because of familiarity. We do need unlimited data. If I could find a plan that is $25 per month per line or less, that would be great. Thanks in advance. New member here 👋
