Can I get a new number?

So I recently purchased a Google pixel phone, with the 1 year unlimited, Im currently on a family plan with metropcs but I want to get out of said plan, the deal online for the phone was that I had to bring my own number but trying to get a transfer has been more than tedious. If I were to ask for a new number through mint, would I have to return the phone/pay extra? What should I do?

iPhone Text Messaging Issues

Hello all.

I recently switched my wife (iPhone 12 Pro Max) from Verizon to Mint. Since the switch, she and I (Pixel 6 Pro) are unable to see each other's read receipts in our text apps and she is not getting group texts (seemingly from Android users only).

Googling turned up a bunch of similar issues, all with varying things to try, none of which have worked so far.

Mint support chat has been completely unhelpful, copying and pasting the same suggestions that I've said either do not exist on the phone or have had no effect.

Anyone have any thoughts? This is extremely frustrating. I'm even paying for the unlimited plan which I assumed had all features.

Thanks in advance.

24 Hours of Fraud

I moved over to Mint about 24 hours ago and have had to do nothing but be on the phone to get my account un-flagged for fraud - the total amount of calls to them today has been 4, going on 5. I've paid for 3 months, let me use the darn service I paid for. I'm so close to canceling and asking for a refund.

This is ridiculous.

Mint is saying all my data is gone in 1 day

My 5GB plan reset yesterday (1/30). Today I get a text that I have used all 5GB of data. My phone shows that I've used 500 MB only. I haven't even been out of my house for more than a few hours since it reset. I checked app usage and nothing was eating up data in the background.

I tried to talk to customer service but they just keep telling me they recommend I upgrade to the 15GB plan. I've been on Mint for multiple years now and haven't had a problem with this before.

Has anyone ran into this before and actually got them to resolve this issue?

We have businesses using these lines, we need this resolved - any ideas?

Horrible starting experience

So decided to switch from att because I need a new phone because the talking part doesn't work...my friends, dr offices, etc cannot hear me nor I them. Bought a phone and was told it was going to be here Tuesday, well it comes and goes and no phone and check status and fed ex doesn't have it. After 4 different phone calls I keep getting a scripted answer and still no phone. I'm about to just cancel the whole plan and tell everyone I know to stick with the big guys I guess you get what u pay for.

Samsung Galaxy A5x compatibility

I'm thinking of switching from Xfinity Mobile to Mint, mainly because I'm thinking of switching my home internet away from Xfinity.

Mint's website shows that my A53 5G is compatible with their service, but my wife's A54 5G (unlocked, purchased directly from Samsung) isn't listed. However, it seems one can buy an A54 5G directly from Mint (https://phones.mintmobile.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a54-5g/).

Can anyone confirm that the A54 works with their service?

How much do you pay per month out of pocket for Mint Mobile?

From what I can tell, it’s $15/month for the first 3 months (prepaid at $45 from what I understand) what about after that? How much with taxes and fees?

Trying to Get a refund for my 4 Unlimited plans.

I purchased 4 mint mobile plans for 3 months for $45 bucks each last week and this week I ported all those numbers to T-mobile because they had better connection and phone deals. Now that my phone numbers are ported out of mint mobile, I cannot access my account. Also, I tried calling the customer service number to request a refund since it wasn't 7 seven days since activating when I ported out[still isn't seven days] but I couldn't get to an operator because I had no mint number. Can I get an email address so I can send them an email with my order number and request a refund?

Looking for advice

Sorry for the lack of a descriptive title, I didn’t know how else to put it. On mobile, so apologies for potentially poor formatting. Also sorry if I am breaking any rules.

I basically have two major national cellular carriers fighting for my business. “Oh, sign with us and you get $15 off monthly service and a new phone!” All that crap. Problem is, all of these quotes are quite high in my opinion, especially compared to what I’ve seen from Mint.

Can y’all tell me a bit about Mint, quality of service, ACTUAL cost at the end of the day, what the switching process looks like, etc? Do they have some sort of exchange/upgrade policy to get a new phone?

Essentially, is Mint mobile worth it? I really hope it is, it seems like a great option but I’d like to hear from some actual users before I take the plunge.

TIA for any help!

Auto-renew bonus not showing up

New customer here. Received an offer by email for a $15 credit if I signed up for auto-renew. This credit was supposed to show up in my account 5 days before renewal, per the email. But my plan renews in 2 days and it is not there. Chatted with a rep who told me "I suggest you to please wait for the renewal time. Credits will be automatically added on the renewal."

I'm skeptical. Anyone have issues not getting the credit?

Edit: Thanks to MintMobileAlex for sorting it out!!

New phone compatibility

How soon does Mint become compatible with newly released phones?

I'm looking to replace my current old (galaxy s10 old) phone and I'm considering getting the galaxy s25 ultra when it comes out next week, but I'm worried I won't be able to use it since I'm on Mint. Is support on new models of phones pretty quick?

Getting a message when I’m trying to make a call

So I’m trying to make a phone call but all I keep getting is we’re currently closed call back during business hours but I’m paid up for 3 months. So I’m not sure why my phone won’t make calls. And I can’t get into the app to see if something happened. I’m really confused and just trying to figure out what’s going on with my service.

Wifi calling new issue

I've been overseas a year or so and using dual sim card and wifi calling enabled, I've always been able to call and text the US when I'm within wifi range. Until today. Today when I try to call, I get a message saying something like "sorry to bother you but you need to add a minternational pass to your account". It's word because I can still text. Wifi is working. But mint is somehow blocking the call. What's up mint, did something change?

Switching from T-Mobile and forgot to take card off autopay

So I ported my number from T-Mobile tonight. I called the customer service number to make sure everything got canceled including my Apple Watch. They will be sending me a final bill and it’s officially done on Feb. 20th. Sooo I forgot to take my card off auto pay. Should I be worried considering everything will be done by Feb 20th? or should I already start looking into a new debit card. Please help! lol

No connectivity after switching to 12 month plan.

-Paid for my AT&T phone contract

-unlocked my phone

-had 3 month $15 per month plan with eSim card

  • no issues.

-started 12 month plan

-1 month in I'm losing service and wifi calling, constantly says "emergency calls only"

-now I have zero service

-spoke with 6 different agents, tried 2nd eSim, physical Sim, and swapping Sim cards between multiple phones and carriers.

  • no Sim card works in my phone.

Switching to the yearly plan after 3 months and some other questions

I want to bring over 2 numbers from Verizon. I see Mint has a buy 1 get 1 deal going on. I'd get the unlimited plan for 2 phones for $45 for 3 months which sounds like an awesome deal to me. I just have a few questions before pulling the trigger.

  1. I currently have a Mint 7 day trial sim in my phone. Can I just keep this one in here when signing up?
  2. After the 3 months, is it easy to move each phone to the yearly unlimited plan for $360?
  3. How long does the initial sign up take, moving the number from Verizon to Mint?

iPhone group texting issues

I’ve done everything - cannot receive group texts although the group sees mine. No group messaging toggle on my updated iPhone 11. No rcs I’m guessing? It’s super frustrating since I can receive messages from all the people individually. Anyone know a fix? I got a new eSIM and was in chat all afternoon resetting etc

Port and keep plan

I paid for the 12 month plan, would like to give the account to my daughter. The issue is I ported in my number. Can I port out my number and have mint give me a new number while keeping the plan? I have 11 months left and I am afraid if I port it out, they will cancel the plan, loosing the 11 months I have left.

Can this be done?

Physical sim card to Esim switch simple?

Hello, I have an older model iPhone 8plus that works but won’t be supported much longer. For that reason I’m kicking around the idea of picking up a new iPhone direct from the Apple store - hopefully before prices go up. My question is: is it easy to go from a physical sim card to an Esim while on Mint. Can I do this in the store before I go?

Most of what I’ve seen on dealing with Mint and new phones and esims evolves around already having a phone with an esim and just getting a newer phone with an esim.

Both my wife and I use it and enjoy the savings and service they offer and plan to re-up fir another year t our current plan. Thanks is advance for your input. Cheers!

Mint gave me 50gb this month for some reason

I pay for 15gb/mo and am a few months away from renewing my plan. This month, I got 50gb instead of 15. They didn't change my plan, and the app status screen says "50/15". Did this happen to anyone else?

3 month unlimited plan

On a 15$ month unlimited plan. One says $45 due for 3 months (correct)., the other line says 75$. Shouldn't the second line be the same?

Transferred from t-mobile

T-mobile got too expensive, so we switched to this. The 2 other phones transferred fine but mine doesn't. I have no service at all.

I took the physical sim out of the phone, added the eSim, reset the network, checked to make sure my phone wasn't locked, deleted the eSim, got a new eSim, restarted the phone, toggled airplane mode. 5 times, I did all this 5 times and nothing. Customer service doesn't let you get a word in to explain you've already done this.

Has anyone found a solution for this? I'm at a loss. I need my phone to work!

Black Friday Family Plan - Unlimited for $15

u/mintmobile I received a black friday promotion for unlimited for $15 for 2 years if I created a family plan and brought all the lines over by Jan 2 (max 5 lines). I completed that and now have 5 lines in my Mint Family.

On the few times I have called, I was told by the (very subpar) customer service reps that I would receive an email in January on how to activate the savings. While there still 3.5 days left in January, I'm a little surprised that I still have not received anything.

I sure hope I don't have to call in again. You can send that email any day now.

Coverage in Highland Illinois?

My yearly plan with Mint is coming to an end a couple of weeks before I move to Highland IL (so I can't try it and do a 7 day cancellation). A realtor said Mint coverage isn't great there and recommended a different company- but I'm happy with Mint and an hoping to stay. I spoke to Mint and asked their advice and they agreed I should just move to a different provider when my year is up. But I thought I'd try here just in case any of y'all have experience with it in that area. Thanks in advance 😊
