I moved from Verizon over to mintmobile a couple of days ago get this message everyday. During setup everything seemed to go fine. My number was ported over. All the features and apps that are my phone work it is unlocked. It's a Samsung Galaxy s21 5G. Any ideas have stopped this?
Many Mint users are steamed that RCS is still not fully implemented.
I travel internationally a lot. Like the much better metric system, WhatsApp dominates over SMS or RCS texting in many nations and it's so much better and more versatile. We need to break some habits. But we won't.
I have 4 lines on most basic plan of T mobile, paying 123$ for 4 lines. Two iPhone 14 Pro Max, one 12 pro max and one iPhone SE. All paid off. No data usage on 2 lines.
What’s the best way to get two 16 pro max phones ?
Don’t want my bill to go above 190$ overall.
Pretty heavy user for the most part. In between traveling and long commutes the data is used quickly. Even so, with 6 days being left in the month I feel that 40 is not enough for the vast majority of users.
I bought a fully paid iPhone 16 pro through mint to avail the one year discount offer and just got to know that my phone is locked. I am traveling to Europe in few days for 4 weeks. Anybody have clue on how to get it unlocked because their policy says 60 days. Not sure if they will accommodate the request or at least temporarily unlock the phone. Help is appreciated!
Hey! We currently have cricket, and they pissed me off so I'm interested in changing to mint. It says 3 months at 15$ great. 3 months at a time., ok I can do that. Then it says that regular plan prices are available after the 3 months So what does it go up to after that?? Then it also says that you can renew for another 3 months to keep the savings going. But does it stay at the 15$ or how does that work?
I’ve tried everything but transferring 3 lines from Verizon but on my cart showing me prices for 3 full plans instead of 2?
So a few weeks ago, I switched my plan from 12 months to 3 months, which is supposed to go into effect today. A few hours ago, I got a text message saying auto-renewal had failed. My phone number got blocked and now I cannot call or receive SMS messages (including OTP from financial institutions, which means I can't move my own money). The text message also said that I should log in to my account using the mobile app or the website to renew.
But I can't. When I tried to log in using my phone number and password, at first it prompted me to enter my 2FA code, which I did, but then nothing happened. I tried again, but this time it just stayed on the same page without prompting me to enter the 2FA code. Finally, I tried resetting the password, which the website said resetting the password has failed.
When I tried calling customer service (611), an automatic voice said that my account was up for renewal of the 12-month plan by tomorrow, which was odd considering I had signed up to change to the 3-month plan. When I reached a human, they tried their best but couldn't help me because the 2FA prevented them from logging in to my account from their admin backend. The only thing they can do is initiate an account recovery procedure, which takes at least 24 hours. The best hypothesis they can come up with is that auto-renewal failure led to my account being expired, which led to my not being able to log in to the account.
Even if that was the case, the whole thing is stupid:
I have been a loyal Mint mobile customer for several years. Tonight, I helped my wife purchase eSIM's for herself and her parents, effectively setting up 3 lines to the service, and activating the phones for them.
Unfortunately, we did not think to use the r3ferral link available through the Mint Mobile app. Calling customer service was unhelpful, as we were told categorically that "the system does not allow" for a bonus unless this link is used.
Do we have any recourse? Or is there another number we can call to get remuneration? Thanks all!
I’m traveling to Playa del Carmen, Mexico tomorrow morning and I was wondered if I needed to purchase the Minternational pass to allow for data and phone service. So that I can call back to the US if needed. Anyone have any advice on this?
Anybody that made the switch from Cricket to mint, using Sim cards how was the switch?
Was it easy or difficult?
We are planning on keeping our numbers and adding a line. We are bringing our 3 phones that are all Cricket affiliate so I'm probably asking how hard was it to get those phones unlocked from cricket and transitioning all that?
My next bill is due in a few weeks so it would give us some time to get the Mint sim cards in the mail.
Sorry if these questions seem dumb or anything, we've had Cricket for the last decade but have finally decided to make the switch since it'd be cheaper in the long run for 3 lines every 3 months versus 2 lines every month.
TIA, I may have more questions as these get answered.
Well this is new. My Pixel 8a is giving me voicemail commands in Spanish today for the first time ever. I've "reset network settings", I've simply rebooted, and neither has reverted my preferred language back to English (which is what my settings keep telling me I've already selected). Is this system wide or am I just lucky? 😐
Two weeks ago my phone stopped connecting to LTE. Ive had 5 or 6 different tech support people try to fix it with no luck.
So now I dont know if its my phone or its a Mint issue. Before I buy a new phone, any other Mint users have had this issue?
Mint Mobile user for several years. When my Google Pixel died, I bought an iPhone, which used an e-SIM. I hated the phone and exchanged it for another Pixel. I was hoping the SIM card from my first Pixel would work in the new one -- I haven't changed phone numbers -- but so far, no luck. I get a "SIM 1 Not Provisioned" message on my phone, and I run into a brick wall on the website. Do I need a new SIM, or is the problem something else?
Been with Mint 5 years and buying a new phone. Wondering since T-Mobile bought it if they worked now?
My daughter's phone isn't receiving group texts. She also doesn't receive regular texts sent from my Google Voice number. She does receive RCS texts I send. I've checked and rechecked the APN settings from the FAQ and I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions?
Hi all,
I ordered a Samsung S24 almost two weeks ago - I even paid for overnight shipping - but the order status hasn't changed from, "Label Created". I've contacted support 3 different times but they have not been helpful. I'm assuming it's a stock issue, but support has been very unclear and hasn't really offered any solutions other than, "We'll let you know once your order ships."
Any idea what's up or what I should do next?
I missed a virtual doctor appt. I responded to the incoming text containing the invite 1 minute after it arrived and was told the doctor was no longer available. I checked the sent time and it had taken the message 25 minutes to arrive. So I responded 26 minutes too late. I called them and was told it would be 2 months for another appt. Thanks much Mint!
I have the same problem when codes are sent via text and the text arrives long after the expiration of the code. Why so damned long?
My dad is currently voluntarily in a psych ward due to depression caused by insomnia after his stroke. He has been trying to call me repeatedly and I never receive the calls. So I have to call and play phone transfer to reach him.
Why am I not receiving his calls but his voice-mail came through to my inbox? This is getting frustrating.
Please help!
I live in MA, but i want the FL area code, something like 561 or 239 or 850. How can I request that?
Back in April I found out I was no longer eligible for a Lifeline phone. I purchased a SIM from Mint Mobile for 3 months of service. Right after I got that SIM I found out my Lifeline wouldn't be disconnected until the end of October. I called Mint Mobile customer service & was told the the 45 day time limit was for the refund & that I COULD still activate the SIM after the 45 days. And the card the SIM is attached to even states "Activate by Date: 09/27/2026" So, my Lifeline was disconnected last week & I go to start my Mint Mobile & lo & behold, I can not activate it. As I didn't have a phone line any longer, I used chat. The first customer service rep told me I could no longer activate it since it was after the 45 days & while I was typing a response they told me to have a good day & disconnected me. The next rep also told me that the SIM couldn't be activated since it was past the 45 days. They never really responded to why the customer service rep back in April said I could activate the SIM after 45 days. And when I pressed them about why the SIM card says "Activate by Date: 09/27/2026" they put me on "hold" for about 10 minutes saying they would try to activate it, came back & said sorry they couldn't & that that date must be the expiration date for the chip. Yeah, cuz we all know how quickly plastics expire. And it doesn't say 'expiration date" it literally says "Activate by Date". So, I'm super frustrated & meanwhile I probably lost the number I used for the past 5 years. I went ahead & used the 7 day free trial SIM that also came with the SIM I can no longer activate - but I'm using that time to decide what other company to get a phone line with instead of Mint Mobile.
Thinking of switching from Xfinity mobile, as right now with them I pay $35 a month for 3GB data, but I have been using 4-5Gb data lately as I moved offices at work and don't have a good wifi signal anymore.
Is it a smooth process to switch from Xfinity to Mint? I just see all kinds of posts on here of stuff not working on Mint that I am nervous. I have a Pixel 7 if it matters.
I've only been with them 3 months and I'm going through data like water. I already want to leave them! Does anyone have any advice on how to get this done efficiently. Leaving, that is. ** I've already paid for a year, but this was before I discovered that $15 a month doesn't get you much of anything.
Ordered over 10 days ago. Got email claiming that it has been delivered. Still haven't seen it. How to reorder?
Essentially, I want my phone number to be offline and only accessible when connecting to WiFi. I’ve done a bit of research on this and believe it’s pretty straight forward. I’m just curious if anyone here has done this before. Looking forward to the feedback. Thanks.
I'm stupid and ordered two new phones on accident, I was already with Mint. The first day I tried figuring it out the website wouldn't load for me and I got no response with the chat feature. Then I had issues singing in. The return request page says it's only for new customers. There must be a way to still return the phone since it's not even opened, right? When I called the help line none of the options to select related to returns at all. Maybe I'm screwed because it's been 8 days now, over 7, but I had my mom's funeral this weekend and had forgotten about the phone completely.
If i change to this plan will i get charged the full 223.25 dollars right away or will it be split into monthly payments?
Hey sub, I am in Seoul on business for 15 days and I am having problems send and receiving messages via whatsapp and imessage. I applied a multi international pass, but nothing seems to be working. Any idea what could be happening?
Just now noticed that I have no cellular service. Am located in Southern New Jersey. Hearing others are down as well, including on other networks.
EDIT: Back now 😀
